I base my classes on the individuals needs making sure we are going at their pace. First I would provide a short Maths test to see the areas they are struggling with and what we need to pay attention to the most. Then I would usually do a topic area from basic level to a more difficult level over a series of sessions, providing a small homework worksheet after each session.
I like to contextualise each topic and relate it to real world problems allowing students to associate and visualise it to current situations
I am a college level student garnering multiple awards in Mathematics and reliably teach anyone who wishes to excel in their next GCSE Maths exam. My methods centralize around dilution: I start from the backbone and skeleton of the subject then work to slowly integrate difficulty in the questions.
I work with recognised text books and revision guides to help explain the sections of each subject and work through questions to help reinforce the students learning. I either work through this systematically or else focus on areas that the student feels they most need help with.
I am a University student home for the summer looking for students in the Southend - Leigh - Rayleigh to tutor weekly/fortnightly depending on preference. I prefer to do one hour lessons once a week to maintain a good foundation of knowledge. I give Maths lessons from Primary to A Level.
My name is Louise Downward. I'm a qualified primary teacher with over 22 years experience. Throughout my career I have taught children from the ages of 4 up to 16. I am passionate about my teaching and truly believe every child can achieve their true potential, with the understanding of an inspirational teacher.
After an initial assessment, I work out a plan for each student to attain an objective and tailor each lesson to meet this goal. I use past papers for examinations to refine technique and loan books from my own library for interested students to explore more.
I am a passionate, professional and experienced Mathematics tutor and I am here to help you. I love Mathematics and after my tutorials you might love it too ;) - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Mathematics (at all levels). - Tell me about your qualifications.
I am currently in my third year (level 6) of chemistry degree, having also achieved 3 a levels and a foundation year in extended science. I plan to study after completing chemistry , to become a teacher for GCSE and a level students. I have three children myself so I am used to teaching different ages in different ways in order to suit them to grow and learn in a way which suits them.
I don’t think that doing loads of tests helps many people and would probably suggest a mock test every now and then so that the weaker topics can be focused on.
I am currently studying A-level mathematics and I would like to pass my knowledge down to younger students as I know the tips and tricks needed in exams (mainly GCSEs ). I would prefer if students bring me tasks and questions which they find difficult and I can work through them to show them how it is done then after test their knowledge by asking similar questions on the same topic.
At the moment I tutor maths at all secondary levels including GCSE and A-Level maths and further maths. Having graduated with a first class degree I am able to tutor undergraduates in both maths and economics providing they are in topics I have covered, which I can provide a list of upon request.
I can give lessons to anyone studying GCSE Maths or below where I will bring in a few relevant textbooks and attempt to find any weaknesses in a students knowledge. I can be fully flexible and answer any questions the pupil may bring with them and will work meticulously in between lessons to fully prepare for the next one.
I am a very competent 17 year old (on the 19th September) Mathematics Student who is currently studying four A Levels at Westcliff High School For Boys. However, my interest is in Maths and I would like to help any fledgling Mathematicians with their work.
I feel that visualisation is the best way to comprehend any topic from number theory all the way to 4 dimension space theory
I try to approach each topic separately and test weekly on topics covered to ensure it is all getting recapped.
On line, teaching in classroom or going to students home.
I love teaching individually but I am comfortable teaching small groups as well. I am confident and creative when it comes to giving examples from real life, helping students understand on a practical level the theoretical grounds of geometry both 2D and 3D.
I rigorusly break down harder topics since the new GCSE requires more understanding than it ever has done before. I pride myself on explanation of harder topics and prefer to show how something is done - testing previously learnt knowledge as the lesson progresses.
I am happy to go over any topics that the students feel unsure on in their school work and will produce revision material for students to work on, both in tutoring sessions and on their own. I am studying A-levels myself so I will be tutoring students from primary level, up to GCSE level.
First try to quote a practical example from my vast experience in research field of physics and mathematics(automobile) to help understand the topic and then dive into further details of theory for better understanding. It works well to connect practical knowledge with theoretical.
As a chemistry PhD student with a passion for science and mathematics I am able to teach GCSE students and help them pass exams. I prefer to focus on exam style questions and teach areas in which these questions have provided difficulty to students.
