I would run through everything with the student. Every topic and all sorts of questions to make sure my student has had enough practice. I am capable of teaching all levels of Maths up to (but not including) University level.
My teaching style usually involves a small lecture on the concept, taking a look at a worked example as the core. This gives the student a toolkit for solving problems. Then working through example problems with students, offering assistance as they need it. I encourage thought and understanding, not giving the answer as help but pointing the student in the direction of the solution.
My teaching method is to teach the lesson and give homework for consolidation and also I do prolonging of my work so children can learn in the long run. I do extensive planning and I am very understanding to those low ability students especially.
I have a very practical and dynamic approach to teaching, preferring to use extreme examples to help the student remember certain techniques and equations. Students will always receive a recap exercise relating to their last lesson, which will highlight any weaknesses.
You struggle with math? So did I when I had my first math assignment but there is always solution even when you think you will never manage it.Whether is a math for beginners, or Algebra or Economics math i am here to help to achieve your goals. I am an undergraduate, so can tutor any level below that, whether it be A Level, GCSE, KS3 or SATs/11+. I structure lessons fairly informally, with a focus on past papers, but also seek to increase the student's interest in the subject by providing some real world context and by ensuring that we have a good relationship.
I believe that the key to getting god at maths is rigour. It is not enough to just read through notes as applying your knowledge is often the problem. As a result I use examples to reinforce the skills needed to answer anything an exam might throw at you.
I teach from scratch and clearly.
I believe that all students have their own styles of learning, my background in educational psychology gives an insight into this and has encouraged me to utilise the style of the child rather than asking them to conform.
I can tutor maths from primary school up to and including AS Level. I believe that the best way to learn with maths is to just do worked examples. I will set plenty of work to do in your free time, then you come back to me with the work you have done and I will check everything through, tell you where you went wrong, and help learn from those mistakes.
I help students grasp the key concepts, breaking down the complicated into easier chunks of information and looking for that "a-ha" moment from the student, building confidence. I explain the information which should be understood and applied so that it is easier to recall in the exam.

My teaching method allows students to express their own ideas and helps them to fully understand topics, so that they can achieve the highest grades possible. Our classes focus on topics that my students find most difficult, as identified by either myself or the student.
