I have experience tutoring students from year 7 to year 11, but I am also willing to teach A Level Maths and Economics to Sixth Form students. My lessons start off discussing areas the student wants to focus on and explaining key concepts to support their understanding.
I will give lessons to students up to and including GCSE level as I have not studied the new A Level course of Maths especially because I was the last year to do the old course for Maths which was this year.
My sessions work around supportive coaching. Every individual is unique, each session is therefore tailored to that individual and celebrates what they can do, whilst being aware what topics, techniques or understanding may lie ahead.
I try to find the areas where the students tend to struggle and assist them in becoming at good at it. I have noticed that this has been an effective way to ensure the students becoming successful with the subject.
I believe the best way to learn maths is by practicing questions so I will use that as my main teaching method. Any problems that arise during these questions will be noted and dealt with separately.
I give class to high school learners between the ages of 11 and 19. I take my lessons very serious and study a topic thoroughly before presenting a class or lesson. I try to give as many examples as possible to help my students understand the concept better. I tutor in English and Afrikaans languages only.
My Teaching method differs with respect to students ability of learning. I have given lesson to 7th-12th grade standard. Being a private tutor I have used both(Online and Offline) method for teaching my students.
This Course will be Highly Useful For: Students (School and College Goers), Mathematics Teachers, Job Seekers, Various Exams where Fast Calculation is required. Benefits: Become MatheMagician in 21 Days; Solve Complex Problems in Few Seconds; Come Out of Maths Phobia.
I adapt my teaching methodology depending on the student. As a teacher, I am used to seeing a wide range of abilities and confidence levels. All students are more than capable of learning, and it is my job to see that they achieve their potential.
I specifically tailor my lessons to my students' individual needs. If your goal is to prepare for an exam, using past papers, I can help you identify the topics that are most probable to come up so that we can spend more time practising those critical points. Even if the material is mainly theoretical I never fail to aid my student understanding with intuitive ways to interpret the theory.
I can offer an all-round tutoring package to students who need support and want to develop their study habits. I'm especially interested in motivating and coaching students, while providing specific academic support. As such, I'm a well-rounded tutor who can offer comprehensive support to motivate students to excel.
I am very thorough about each topic. Purposely targeting areas in which students are least confident in. There will be constant pressure to achieve more than average. Understanding why and how the maths works is key as students will finally understand how to get marks in exams.
I am relaxed and friendly which allows the student to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. I am willing to give lessons to any student up until A-level standard. I use a mixture of careful planning and improvisation in my lessons.
My teaching method vary from a student to an other. Some students are already confident with the syllabus so I focus with them on exam techniques and past papers practice. While others, prefer to go over the syllabus again to make sure they know everything there is to know about it. Either way, together with my students, I structure the lessons depending on what they need.
I approach each topic step by step so I am quite simplistic, however I believe that you must understand every basic mathematical concept in order to be able to expand your knowledge and apply it without thinking too much. I also believe that practice makes perfect, especially with maths.
My teaching methodology is to keep my students engaged. If they are engaged and focused, students learning capabilities greatly increase. During an hour lesson I prefer my students them to listen and ask questions while I am there to help instead of doing questions the whole time.
I approach each topic with a calm persistence and only move on when a confident understanding is reached. Maths and Science are built by layering onto core topics so strong understanding of these is key. I understand that every student takes longer to process different topics and will patiently preservere with each student rather than trying to hurry them along.
My teaching method is to work through each topic until it is fully understood, I’ll start by going through example problems together and then for me to give practice questions that I can help you through until you fully understand each topic
The way I like to teach is by treating each topic as though my student has never learnt it before. That way, I can go through the methods required thoroughly and pin point where my student is having difficulties. After that I will go through some examples before letting my student go through some questions alone and offer hints when I see them struggling.
It's up to you which topics you want to go over first. On the topics you don't understand, we can try some easy examples and work our way up. I will try to explain every little detail and concept to the best of my ability as easily as possible.
My teaching method is to find out what you understand from the work that is assigned. I often probe to individual to try and help them think of the answer on their own, instead of me just giving it straight to them. I take time to go through each part of the work to make sure that it is properly understood, and use repetition to make sure of this.
I am completing my Bachelor of Science program. My typical lesson structure is going over the student's materials on the subject, explaining everything to make sure their understanding is complete. I also prepare my own materials and go over those, skipping parts the student knows. Then we do questions to practice for tests, from textbooks and ones I make myself.
I adapt my teaching methods to best fit my student. I usually go over the core syllabus and give my students homework and see if they are making any progress. I am attentive and am a good observer, such that I can spot the students weak and strong areas and thus plan my lessons accordingly.
I first check and go through Homework set from the week before. I then go over and teach new topics and topics students are weak at. Sometimes the learner has a choice in choosing what they want to learn. I then set them homework for the next time I see them and regularly test them on what we have learnt.
I believe that "working smart" it's much more beneficial for a student than "working hard." I base my classes on the student's weeknesses and aim to help them understand concepts rather than just memorising how to answer certain types of questions or mark schemes.
I base my teaching on whatever the student finds the most challenging, and then branch out from there, covering each topic in depth. I focus on ensuring that the main topics which are the hardest and are worth the most marks, are fully covered first.
I approach my teaching methods on the students ability and focus, often looking to stretch students to their full potential, as well as simplifying problems for understanding. I aim to develop students exam technique and often use example questions to make new topics clear.
My lesson structure is quite simple. Go over each part of specification in detail. Do past exam questions over them. Finally, go over mistakes and keep practicing. I am also very friendly and calm, so be sure to have a positive experience when learning with me.
I ensure to help students step by step. Prepare lessons from before hand based on what students want.
I am looking to tutor secondary level students (Years 7-11) in maths and science. I am happy to help with homework, go over areas where your child may be struggling and provide questions for them to complete. I can also be of use to those students who need help pushing themselves further academically.
