My teaching method is based on the CAS, pass papers, personally marked work and pin pointing students difficult areas and helping to improve them I come with a useful collection of notes to aid the student and save them unnecessary wasted Tim when revising and plan to amir there work as they go along with the course
I am an engineering student at the University of Edinburgh.I have had my eyes on this stream ever since I started excelling in Physics and Math. Over the years,my teaching methods have evolved a lot.I normally ask the students what problems they are struggling with and then proceed to explain the relevant fundamentals.
- Classes Every student has a programme that is built just for them. They concentrate on getting to grips with topics that they are covering in school whilst also working on a parallel thread that is put together to fill any gaps that may exist in their core skills. * The MagiKats programme supports the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.
My lessons are enjoyable, informative and challenging. I tailor each lesson to suit the individual learner and like my students to look forward to learning with me.
The typical lesson will usually look like this: First we review with the student what was done in class, I then help the student fully understand the lessons while helping with the homework. Occasionally we will have a training lesson over what was seen in anticipation of a test. I believe that every student has a great potential which just needs to be unleashed.
My teaching method is targetting both the weaknesses and strenghts of each individual student and then finding a way to strengthen both what the student is confident in as well as the areas they aren't confident in. Each lesson will begin with a mini quiz in order to see if they remember then information from the previous lesson.
I give lessons in French, Maths and Physics to A-Level. My structured tutoring will help a student break down any difficulties they face in a subject and we will work through these to get students to a level where they not only feel comfortable with the material but are also able to achieve their full potential in exams and beyond.
-ONLY skype tutoring!! -Studied at independent school for 7 years; currently at univeristy studying physical chemistry and maths.
Lessons are aimed focused on the curriculum at hand and I like to teach by example - giving a conceptual explanation first before reinforcing with worked through examples. Thanks to my diverse interests and genuine love of learning I am excited to coach students of all levels, from the basics through to the more nuanced aspects of the subject.
Flexibility is the key approach I take to lessons - everyone learns in a slightly different way so I believe that one of the most important tasks of the tutor is to figure out the best way for their student to engage with and learn the material.
My teaching style is tailored to each student's needs; from pre-exam urgent tutoring sessions to long-term tutoring sessions, I am here to help to you! I usually involve a mixture of teaching, practical exercises and past exam questions in my sessions.
I generally prefer to let the student take charge of their learning so that we can focus on what they feel they need help on, but I do understand from personal experience that people often like to stay on topics they are good at as that is more comfortable.
My teaching style is one of guidance where I nudge students in the right direction and let them come to the right answer by themselves. We will start with some broad lessons and then focus on the areas that can be improved on. This will be done using past papers which will give students familiarity with exam language and difficulty.
My teaching method is to first understand the whole syllabus and then gradually help the student to learn in detail with more practices.I prefer the classes as home tuition to be given to the students up to high school individually.
I strongly believe that there must be only one reason for you not understanding science and maths: they taught these in a boring, obsolete way. It's their fault, not yours.
I'm a responsible and sociable recently graduated spanish boy with an advanced knowlege of english language. I've been studying Industrial Design engineering and Mechanical engineering for the last 6 years, and it will be a pleasure helping childs and teens from secondary level to university degree level to improve at science subjects.
Hi, here's how we'll get you the top grades! Firstly, I'm a second year Linguistics student at The University of Edinburgh on track for a 2:1 or possibly a 1st in my undergraduate MA (Hons) degree. As a tutor I like to explain things clearly, going through problems step by step with the student and explaining my reasons for my choices.
The main aim of my lessons is to offer a fun and calming environment where the students can learn and gain confidence. I am a very patient person and understand that students learn at their own speed and will be very encouraging to the students so they feel comfortable enough to carry out tasks relating to their subject on their own.
My teaching methodology is very 2-way. I provide lessons that are tailored to the needs of my clients. I am a very good listener and will always try and understand my clients way of thinking especially when it is different to my own.
Every student is different- something I have learnt from 6 years of tutoring is to always be flexible with the approach you take. After the first session I will draw up a learning plan for the student tailored to their learning aims.
I always try to suit my lessons to the individual student, first identifying his or her strong points and those that need improvement. Solving many problems & doing plenty of exercises is helpful, but never to the point when it just gets boring. I prefer to be flexible, to make sure the student really understands the issue, rather than just repeating the same old thing.
I believe building confidence is absolutely key and thus I focus on making sure the student fully understands the covered concepts. I have worked with many students and have learnt that there is no set method for teaching, but rather finding a method tailored to the student.
I think it is important to realise that not everyone learns best in the same way, and to always be prepared to explain the same thing in more than one way as the way that something best makes sense will vary from individual to individual. I also think it is important to celebrate the victories, as a positive mind set is a much better starting point for learning.
I teach private lessons or group lessons in a school. I teach from the basic foundation and do not assume that my students have an already prior knowledge. I also use mnemonics to ensure that the student does not forget what he has learned for a long time. I had produced the best maths result of an exam class in a certain school using this technique.
My teaching method is very simple. I like to identify what you understand and what you don’t. Wherever you’re weak we will explore together until you can go off on your own. I like to understand how a student learns and cater to that. My personal belief is that every person on earth has the ability to do whatever it is they want. Be it learn how to solve complex problems or learn to dance.
My lessons are aimed at anyone from GCSE up to A Level/IB. I typically start with determining the student's weaknesses. I then aim to improve how they handle the topic by walking them through questions and seeing how they approach a problem, showing them alternate methods or teaching new ones entirely. After covering one week's topic in full I proceed to look for another weak area to build upon.
I encourage the student to learn at their own pace as everyone learns different topics at different speeds.
My first goal is to find out what needs to be taught. With the aid of diagrams, formula sheet and acrynyms I will present the method and use examples to practice the rechnique. Learning resources are effective in meeting all levels of learning. The last step is to review what has been learned, providing real life application of theorems in engineering, for example.
My teaching method is by topics and a particular focus on past year papers to target exam requirements. I also aim for students to have a deeper understanding of the subject matter. I will teach based on students need and sessions can be run in a Q&A fashion if preferred so that you get the best value for money.
I'm hard working and innovative. I like team work and to develop my leadership skills. Also self motivated and committed to the task. As a tutor I have had experience with students from 15 to 22 years old, especially with related math courses.

Perfect! My Son cannot not talk any higher of the Tutor. He has improved so much since seeing Aurelian. He also cares if you pass and he often stays well over the allotted time. My Son says he is miles ahead of his school teachers in knowledge.
Perfect! I’m extremely impressed with progress my daughter has made in her maths with Daniel. Prior to Daniel, she though she was no good at maths, lost her confidence and was disappointed with the results of her last test. Now, her confidence has returned...
Perfect! I highly recommend Paige as a Chemistry tutor. My son found her very helpful, encouraging and knowledgable. Paige explained everything in an easy to understand manner which allowed my son to gain much more confidence in Chemistry.
