About me: I am educated to degree in Mathematics and specialised in Mathematics. A fun interactive session- hands on, practical learning whereb students love to learn and not see it as a chore. My passion is for students to achieve deep understanding of key concepts and acquire skills that allow them to explore the world of learning. I want to help every child achieve their full potential.
My teaching methods are very specialised to the individual.
I always begin the first class doing 2 things: 1) getting to know you- this builds a strong rapport between us, 2) giving an initial assessment to see what level you are at and what specific topics we need to work on. After that, all lessons are based on previous classes and what you personally feel you need to work on in that particular lesson.
Analysing the material for the students and providing them guidance on various aspects of Maths Subject. Adopted distinctive teaching methodologies & documented all lessons.
Before anything, I like to spend some time trying to understand what kind of learner the student is - from there on,I focus mainly on the fundamentals and ensure that he/she comprehends the relevant steps required to get to the final answer. Then I ask the student to complete some example questions and also like to use past paper questions, so it increases their confidence.
An articulate Academic Professional with a proven track record of positive contribution towards learning, teaching and development of the young and adult learners. I have also acquired a deep knowledge of National Curriculum & motivating my learners and inspired them to do well in their studies. - Classes One to one and group classes.
I believe the best way to perform in an exam is not to blindly regurgitate equations but to understand topics from first principles.
I have helped many students achieve to their full potential by teaching them the subject content and covering the syllabus as well as teaching them to self evaluate and improve their confidence. I use various methods to assist them with consolidation of subject knowledge which also includes exam techniques.
In my work, I focus on discovering the students’ individual difficulties and guide them in looking for solutions. Together we develop a thorough understanding of the mathematical issue. As a result, the students achieve a solid foundation in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving.
My approach is simple and more of understanding the needs to each student on one to one basis. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Commerce and Economics and teaching student is always my passion. I bring in 5 years of teaching experience and would like to share my knowledge with students.
I prefer to give lessons to students in primary school up till year 8 as well entrance exams. I prefer to first find out how much the student already knows and how confident they are in each topic of their curriculum and then carry on from there, making sure they get lots of practice on their weaker areas.
I begin sessions by asking them what they are currently studying in class at their school and what problems they may be having currently so that they don’t fall behind on the basics. From there, I can build on that foundation and help them excel in their lessons and get into the secondary school they would like to go to.
I believe in teaching through understanding and intuition. My lessons are based on the students I tutor, but I aim to complete the whole specification as fast as required. Additionally, I appreciate it when students have questions that need answering and as such I am highly determined to encourage active learning.
I am not another teacher, I have had recent and more importantly personal experience with GCSE's and so have mastered ways of understanding, explaining and revising the syllabus. I will work together with you, and the exam specification to go through exam questions and techniques for high grades. I'll also teach tricks that i used during my own exam.
My teaching method is to go through the topics and give questions as well as clearing doubts but also making sure that the student knows what he is doing rather than just using a formula which he/she was given.A okay mathematician can use a formula an even better one can make their own formula.
I like to approach topics in a structured way, whereby for my student to understand the basics and build onto harder questions that can have many steps or tiers. This normally leads to a natural progression of the question and builds the confidence for them.
I base my teaching on whatever the student finds the most challenging, and then branch out from there, covering each topic in depth. I focus on ensuring that the main topics which are the hardest and are worth the most marks, are fully covered first.
My teaching methodology is starting with the basics at first , this allows me to have an understanding as to what level everyone is at and what I need to focus my teaching on.
As a student, I have recent experience in doing my exams. I can provide students with tips and how to achieve the best grades smartly. I give lesson to students below the age of 14 and will be able to boost the students grades up within a few months.
I would like to give lessons to GCSE students or high school students (year 7-11). I am an extremely patient person and I would use a variety of tutoring methods such as practice papers and worksheets alongside 'workshops' for paritcularly difficult topics.
Students have different learning styles. I am able to quickly identify these and adapt the lessons to suit the individual. I am very patient and understanding and will adjust rate of teaching to ensure students grasp concepts progressively.
My teaching method is to go through a topic in detail until the student is confident with the particular topic and then work on answering different questions on that topic. I also like to recap past topics at the beginning of the lesson to ensure that topics are not forgotten.
I initially like to hear how tutees think they would solve the problem. I would then either correct them if they are wrong and teach them other simpler and quicker techniques to save time in an exam. I sincerely believe in listening to the students.
Having studied at Oxford I learnt the unique method of teaching which combines lectures and tutorials. For tutorials I cherry pick questions and prepare test papers for my students.
My teaching method is catered to every individual students needs but has a rough outline of practicing topics in order to in perfect state by the time exams come.
While teaching, I use tact, patience and persuasion to understand students’ psychology, develop rapport and build strong relationships with them to have effective two-way communication and make lectures more enjoyable.
So what are you waiting for… Tutoring Experience: • My most recent students excelled in Maths and Further Maths, getting equal or higher grades than predicted by their schools . • I have copious experience in teaching students, relatives and friends through 11plus to A Level and above.
My name is Varun and I offer maths tuition up to GCSE level. My approach to teaching is very simple, to do well in a subject or test you must not just be able to absorb information but actually understand the content, only then can you guarantee success. I am very charismatic about the subject I teach, which I feel is required to be a successful tutor.
