My teaching approach involves asking students how much they know about their topic first so I know what to cover and what not to cover, thus saving time and spending more time on struggling topics. I also tell students to read their book and explain to me what they learnt which also tells me what to fully cover.
I see each complex section in science and mathematics as a composition of relatively simple questions whose solutions often involve the application of rudimentary mathematical and scientific axioms. As such, I seek to impress upon my students the importance of decomposing problems by rewriting the questions posed in a generally longer but more comprehensible form.
I base my teaching depending on each student's learning needs so I do not have a fixed teaching methodology. However, whichever way, in the end, I apply more for demonstration, examples, tests, exam among others. Most importantly, I make sure I cement a very good relationship with my students and then take it from there thereby ensuring they get the best out of the tutoring relationship we have.
I am a qualified teacher and have an MA in Leadership. I focus on the individual I am working with and ensure any gaps in mathematical knowledge are identified. Starters will include questions involving key calculator and non calculator skills.
My teaching method involves going through example question step by step, whilst keeping it interactive. I then like to set questions for the student to work through, getting them to explain each step to me as they go. I like to ask lots of questions in order to challenge the student.
First I like to assess a student's current knowledge on a topic, often done through some tasks or questions. I like to highlight the key information from a topic and really make sure a student understands it instead of overloading them with information. Next I plan out the lessons depending on the student's targets and current knowledge so they can reach their potential and achieve their goals.
I will base my lessons on the student, learning how they like to learn and then basing the lesson plan for them.
I want to help those students struggling in GCSE or A-Level Maths because I understand the frustration of not understanding a method or the seemingly complicated process of finding an answer. I will build up your abilities from more simple questions and progress onto the harder ones where you'll begin to recognise the similarities of those 'difficult' questions to the earlier, easier ones.
In my lessons I will be working alongside you to ensure you get up to a strong understanding of whatever topic it may be. The way I cover topics involves first of all gauging your base level of knowledge and adapting the lesson accordingly, whether that requires teaching from first principles to pushing the boundaries of your understanding.
Practise is the best way to learn maths so when teaching it, I begin by explaining a new concept to the student, then going through a few problems with them, then letting them go through some problems alone to highlight any problems so I can then explain and fix the problem.
I tend to vary my teaching method depending on the needs and learning style of the student. I like to teach by a direct approach, encouraging the use of past papers to perfect exam technique and practice. I also tailor my teaching to follow the exact syllabus taught to the student, to ensure their exact learning needs are met.
My method of teaching is entirely dependent on the student. I will adapt my teaching style to meet their individual needs. I am also not ran by the clock, meaning I will go to whichever lengths it takes to ensure the student meets their goals.
My teaching method is systematic, in the respect that both you and I will set goals to achieve and I will create lesson plans to ensure they are completed efficiency and effectively. My lessons are not only a time for specialised learning, but I will incorporate games and fun to ensure the retention of attention and the willingness to learn more.
I have tutored a range of students from all backgrounds and can offer students methods of teaching that suits them! I have a lot of experience with students on the Autistic spectrum and am willing to try different ways in which to enrich your knowledge of mathematics. We will assess your strengths and weaknesses and work from there.

I'm a Mathematics student at the University of Leeds, currently on track for a 1st and in my 3rd year. I'm from Wakefield and so am able to continue with lessons based in West Yorkshire (or anywhere in Britain via Skype) when away from University.
I not only use text books or worksheets, but individual computer aided systems. Teaching to GCSE in Maths, English Language and English Literature, also SATS and times tables for all Year 4 pupils computer tests in schools from 2020.
My method of teaching is based on what the tutee is struggling with the most and then when they feel confident with that I will then move on to everything else that needs covering within the national curriculum just to help them achieve the best overall grade they can.
I am a researcher with over 10 years experience teaching mathematics at the Universities of Cambridge and Leeds. I tutor maths at A-level and university level. My experience tutoring to classes of students in impoverished areas has reinforced my ability to form conceptual understanding of topics to a wide variety of people.
I am calm and patient, with a knack for explaining mathematical concepts. I tailor lessons to individual and group needs and pupils have always commented on my ability to pitch lessons at exactly the right level. I am available evenings throughout the week.
My methods of teaching include lecturing, demonstrations, collaboration and debriefing. My lessons are fun and interesting and I am great at breaking things down in a way that helps retain the information. I will teach good exam preparation and techniques.
My teaching method is to work through example questions with the student then allow a chance for the individual to attempt a question alone.
I approach each pupil dependant upon their needs, build on concepts that they are familiar with and use methods that are best for each student. For example some pupils might prefer visual aids whereas others may prefer descriptive examples. Everyone is unique and everyone learns their own way, I will attempt to find what that is and nurture it to the best of their ability.
To be a great tutor, I believe you must have patience and respectful tone. It is essential to make sure the student doesn't feel belittled and to try to see where the problem lies in the understanding. I have always been good at Math from my GSEC honours and College degree and even in College my lecturer tried to persuade me into continuing the subject but I couldn't, because of my career path.

I am a patient individual who is set to improve a child's efficiency in mathematics. My credentials are the proof of my mathematical knowledge. I have secured 99% in high school and 95% in secondary education and top grades throughout university.
I am a part time rugby coach so have lots of teaching experience in that respect. I like to be on the same level as my students as it always makes them perform at their best if they feel comfortable in their environment.
I believe students become productive when they learn through real live scenarios. I try to relate all the concepts of Mathematics to the real world examples and try to explain the real practical need and use of these concepts.
Teaches maths in a way in which a student understands, short cuts around some of the techniques you see in your typical class, offers help to understand concepts and ways for pupils to check their answers themselves quickly and efficiently.
