I am a mechanical engineering bachelor and Ph. D degree holder. I served as teaching assistant during my doctoral education where I teach and solve problems for 1st and 2nd-year university students. I generally prefer deductive teaching for topics that required to be learned in depth and go for inductive teaching method when only shallow knowledge of a subject is required.
Mathematics and Physics are not about memorising, they’re about understanding. This idea is at the core of my sessions and as such my lesson plans are completely based around the student and their level of understanding. Once we have a basic grasp of a topic we will begin to look at some real-world applications of the topic to show why something is important to know in the first place.
All lessons are planned and prepared using a tailored approach based on initial assessment from the first session. Progress being a fundamental focus of all lessons, ensuring all students achieve, many exceeding predicted grades. Using a range of GCSE & A Level exam resources I am able to equip learners with the preparation needed to excel during examination periods.
My teaching method is person to person teaching and i prefer to provide my personal notes to the students to cover up the difficult areas and i prefer to conduct mock exams for the students to keep them active all the time
I'm very good with kids as I am very patient and friendly, I like to make things interesting rather than reading out of a book. I prefer to create a fun way of learning where appropriate - such as games, powerpoint or other creative ways that can peak kids interest.
I am currently a Undergraduate student at Nottingham Trent University studying Interior Architecture and Design , before I was doing my a level's in Computing , Literature and Art where i left with 11 points .(Equivalent to ACC) I chose to tutor in those specific topics because even though i never ended up doing alevel math , I had a strong passion for it and got an B.
My teaching method is based on developing the confidence of the student/s. I help the student to picking apart the problem area so that misconceptions can be identified and dealt with. Consolidation is then achieved by working on exam questions, using my experience with OCR to build on exam technique.
Hi there, I'm a confident student tutor in my first year of a Psychology BSc at Nottingham Trent University/ I'd be happy to tutor any GCSE/A Level student, regardless of level. I achieved an A in Maths GCSE and would be happy to tutor in it. I also hold an A* in both English Lit and Lang, so could also tutor both of these.
I give lessons to primary , secondary and Alevel students. The method I use is to ask the child for the lesson spec given by their teacher, I will then teach the student everything on the spec to prepare them for their lesson. Any homework that they may need help on , I will help.
I will assess each student as an individual and tailor each lesson for them. I know that this is really important as all students work at different paces and styles.
I have mostly helped A level/GCSE level students, and have coached tennis players of all ages and abilities up to national level. The approach that always worked best for me is working through example questions, and talking through the method behind the question. This is not only perfect practice for when the actual exam comes, it is also the easiest and most logical way to deal with the problem.
I teach based on how I learned as a student, with visual aids, videos and past papers. Multiple questions in a specific topic helps memorise the correct answer and varying the difficulty will show if the learner understands it.
I personally find interactive lessons the most engaging and fun and so I try to base my lessons around that principle - using diagrams, videos etc. I also find that students respond well to the 'model answer approach' where we work through what would be the perfect answer to questions which commonly come up in exams.
My teaching method is explaining the subjects using fewer words as possible and includes games or interactive activities with students. I have confidence in teaching primary school students and I believe I can make maths and chemistry fun for you.
I am an 18-year-old student reading Architecture at the University of Nottingham. I previously studied at St Paul`s School in Barnes, London. In 2012 I took the scholarship entrance examinations and was awarded a John Colet scholarship, which was only awarded to the to 10 students in the year.
I believe the ability to understand exactly what the examiner is after is the key to obtaining high marks alongside sound knowledge. With this comes an element of structure to answering exam questions, especially in Maths and Economics. Therefore, I believe that answering exam questions is the key to success.
I am able to give lessons to those studying for GCSEs or below. My teaching method is you tell me a topic that you struggle with or are finding more difficult, and I will happily help you understand this in a more simplistic way.
During my PGCE course I have learnt much about learning theories and how student learn best. This knowledge and research alongside practical experience has increase the variety of strategies I implement. I believe, with the new curriculum, problem solving and discovery learning is essential.
I offer classes to students who are struggling from year 6-11 and can also offering a helping hand to A level students if need be. Due to me recently carrying out my A levels, I believe i am best equipped to guide young teenagers through the examination process and those stressful times.
I teach the basis of the topic, give examples, confirm from their response whether they need more explanation/examples, then assessed the student(s).
I teach by identifying the topics that the students struggle with. Work out why they struggle with the topics, work from the basic struggles and build it up until they feel confident enough. I give clear examples without skipping steps and provide explanations of what I am doing where possible. Then go back to the question they were struggling with, see if they can do it.
Hello, I study at Nottingham Trent University. I want to start giving Maths lessons to students who are doing their GCSE's or are in secondary education anywhere from year 7 to 11. In the first lesson, the pupil and I will discuss their weaker areas of the Maths subject. Then immediately start with one of their weaker areas.
I used to hate maths back in A levels, but after concentrating more on maths, I realised that it was actually fun! Since then, maths has always been my favourite subject. I like to share my passion for maths not just with students who equally like maths, but also with those who despise maths, because I can guarantee you, that you will start loving it.
My teaching method is based on using plenty of examples and practice question, in order to ensure that the methods are remembered. I also use plenty of questions from exam past papers.
I’m a friendly, enthusiastic teacher who can explain difficult concepts clearly.
I have 3 years experience of teaching maths to GCSE level. I am organised and like to plan individual lessons in advance to suit my students. I am methodical, clear and patient in my approach. References are available.
It's important to always recognize who you're teaching before starting with them (age is an undeniable modifier), with that being said it is good that I have taught different ages so I am adaptable to any child to young adult.
I have native speaker Chinese level. I can teach you how to pronounce the words in Chinese from English from the beginner level. I can teach whatever you want and willing to learn. We can communicate like friends.
Discuss certain weaknesses and address them accordingly. Spend as much time required in order to allow for student to digest and absorb information, so that we can move forward in a progressive manner. Using images so that students can visualise.
I am studying MSc Human Resource Management and have a bachelors with honours degree in Economics. I have a strong mathematical and statistical aptitude.
