Hi, Thanks for taking time to look at my profile. My name is Oliver Johnston, I am a fully qualified Business Studies teacher who also teaches GCSE Maths. If you would like anymore information about my services please get in contact. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Business Studies and Mathematics at a state school. I currently teach GCSE Maths and upto A-Level Business Studies.
I prefer to teach a new lesson by giving some real examples and explaining why the new lesson is useful and important.
I relate problem with practical example s find more and more example to make the concept clear and understand
I tend to help out all students to GCSE level to achieve the best they can. I initially approach the subject from different ways, so as to understand my students' strengths and weaknesses, and help them hone their skills accordingly.
Hi, I'm Izzi! I am a student currently on a gap year and going to Nottingham University next year. My teaching style is encouraging and enthusiastic. I aim to improve overall understanding of mathematics so students understand the methods rather than simply remembering them.
Prior to the tutorial I will get in contact with the student/parent asking them what topics they would like covered in the upcoming tutorial. I will use this information to carefully structure the tutorial. I will start by introducing the topic and explaining the concept using appropriate tools such as visuals, examples etc.
My name is Jacob Diederiks, I have a 4 year Teaching Degree, in vocation subjects but Maths is included. I have a passion for poetry and music as well. I also have experience coaching a variety of sports from Rugby, cricket, Tennis etc. The method of teaching that I prefer to use is practical interactive learner centered activities that engage and activate.
I believe it's important to listen to the student's experience when initially establishing the appropriate strategy and intervention. Through this I am able to work out precisely what and where the student has been struggling, or how they would like more help. Talking this through also gives me an idea of how the student learns and processes information most effectively.
Before our first lesson I like to have a 15 minute orientation call, this will ensure you're happy with the structure of my tutoring. During our lessons we can work on past papers or you can send me your completed work for review before our lessons. I will also include a brief parental consultation after between lessons.
I believe that the key to doing well in maths GCSE is to be able to fully understand each process at the root and be able to justify why the answer is correct. This allows you to be able to apply this knowledge to any format of question and so not be thrown off in the final exam.
I believe that education should be an enjoyable experience which enables you to reach your potential. I use a variety of interesting real-world examples to explain topics and bring lessons back to planet Earth. Whether you are just starting secondary school, cramming GCSEs or studying A-levels, my lessons will be tailored to suit your specific needs and learning styles.
I am a student at the university of Bristol, studying Engineering Mathematics, looking to tutor mathematics to eager to learn students at a GCSE to As Level standard. The Structure which I teach in is to start with theory of the topic and then to walk through examples until the student can solve problems without aid.
I don't like to just teach students content, instead I focus on helping them understanding the information and learn how to apply it effectively to questions. I believe every person is different and their learning styles are just as unique, so I will tailor my tutoring to suit you.
I have A* in further maths at both GCSE and A level. I am currently studying my first year of maths at Bristol university. I am also beginning teacher training with the CLF and have been DBS checked by them. I can go through tailored exercises to fill in gaps in school learning or work through past papers to prepare for exams.
-I teach lessons to GCSE and A-level students. -Topic explanations and conceptual understanding aim to first be met in lessons through visualization diagrams followed by examples of their applications in real life and finishing off with some example past paper questions. -I rely on making sure students gain a deep understanding of concepts rather than regurgitating notes and equations.
I am studying straight physics at the University of Bristol. I'm currently in first year after achieving A*AA in my A-levels in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry respectively. My main teaching methods involve problem solving and helping students logically work through exam papers and questions logically. I am patient and can communicate well.
I like to practise in the moment learning so even if i have a lesson plan if the child expressess they would like to focus on something else we will do that
I am an experienced teacher, and really enjoy teaching young children especially. I use elements of the Suzuki method when teaching children up to the age of 6, always using a personalised approach. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach violin to beginner and intermediate students, beginning at age 8 when teaching online. I also teach modern Greek from complete beginner to advanced levels.
I believe that each student learns differently and I adapt to each students learning needs in order to tutor them in the most beneficial and efficient way. I will first get to know all the weaknesses and problems that my student faces and then form a structured learning method to help overcome their difficulties step by step.
I am most comfortable providing Maths and Physics tutoring to GCSE and A Level students, but I could also offer tuition to undergraduates provided that I have covered similar material during my masters degree.
I teach ages 15 and above. I am very patient and like to prepare lessons before meeting so we can be more productive. I am a fan of using teaching aids in different ways, usually in the form of computer programs or figures to help grasping or reminding of concepts.
I fell in love with physics after working on submarines, where I learned engineering as part of my job. I began taking courses and exams in my spare time which eventually led to me obtaining a physics degree (2017) from the University of Bristol. Physics can be hard, and I understand from first-hand experience how daunting and confusing it can be.
I am a second year engineering student at the University of Bristol. I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Economics in my A-Levels and received an A* and three A's. I enjoy teaching and am considered to have a caring approach and I try to make sure that learning takes place in a relaxed but studious situation.
I break difficult to understand ideas down into small pieces, and combine with memory tricks and repitition to ensure understanding
my teaching method depends on the person I'm teaching, as some people prefer learning in an abstract way with number, formulas and rules whereas others find it easier to put it into a real word situation.
I am a 3rd Year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at University of Bristol, that enjoy meeting people and have been always passionate to teach other student and help them get through exams by simplifying stuff.
I got 99% in ALevel Maths, I did C1234, M123 ,S12 and FP123 and ALevel Physics was 93%. I have limited experience teaching and I want to get more experience by offering lessons at lower prices. I would like to teach hard working students aiming for higher grades.
I believe the best first step is gauging the students knowledge and working through their ideas on the topic together, then guiding the student to better understanding using questions to get them to think about the topic in different ways.
I teach by example and clarification. I follow a method which is going to give you the most possible marks. I am patience and understanding, I work at the pace most suitable for you, at the time you want, how you want.
I teach my students with an individual approach, tailoring my methods depending on the student.
