I am a tutor of all subjects to children aged 4 to 11, and am also a tutor of English as a foreign language. I believe that learning should be fun, inspiring, and empowering for both children and adults and therefore use my creativity to provide exciting and enjoyable lessons. When you contact me, I will arrange a needs analysis session to enable me to evaluate your needs and goals.
Hi! I'm Chris and I am a 21 year old MSc Economics and Finance student at Bristol University. Previously I studied Physics BSc at Imperial College London for which I was awarded a high 2.1. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Maths, Physics and Economics to students doing their GCSE's and A-levels.
I am a young, enthusiastic and experienced fully qualified teacher of primary level education. I feel passionate about passing on my knowledge and expertise to provide the next generation with a strong foundation in learning.
I am a co-author of six GCSE English revision guides (CGP) and was responsible for setting up an online learning project for GCSE Maths for Infinitas Learning. I'm happy to give a free trial lesson. - Which subject(s) do you teach? As I started out as a Middle School teacher, I was trained to teach all the core subjects, but specialised in Art and Design Technology.
I teach in a very interactive way and often use examples and exam questions when explaining a topic. I always try to build a student skill set in Maths by starting off with building their foundation. I try to identify their weaknesses and strengthen them throughout my sessions.
My teaching method is student based. First I would gauge the level the student is currently working at, as well as identify how they like to learn. Some students can just learn and understand step by step approaches, whereas others may need to understand why, and may need visual or active approaches to help them understand.
I teach A-level and GCSE physics and maths, and try to focus on specific topics a student may be struggling with.
I am about to enter my third year of MSci Physics at the University of Bristol, have been tutoring since November 2016. I tutor Maths and Physics from KS3 to A Level, and Science from KS3 to GCSE. I like to change my exact methods and techniques to best suit the student.
My name is Polly and I tutor anyone from primary to GCSE I like to help students to learn by going over questions on the subject and ensuring they understand concepts instead of just memorising facts. I am currently studying A level Maths, Biology and Chemistry.
I am a teacher from Spain. I hold a bachelor's degree from Autonomous University of Madrid UAM (Spain) in Physics and I have just finished my Postgraduate in Education (PGCE) in Camilo Jose Cela University UCJC (Spain). I have experience tutoring and teaching groups in my country, mainly in secondary levels. I have a strong knowledge of the subjects maths and physics.
My teaching methods are mostly student lead (by that i mean focusing on their needs). I like to break down complicated things in to their simplest form and explaining them in a way that make sense for everyone and differentiated to cater for everyone.
My passion for teaching comes from my own educational experiences. As a student, although I learnt quickly and valued Maths, I found most lessons unvaried. In my own lessons I aim to find creative ways to tackle complicated ideas. I always make an effort to get to know every student and their strengths and weaknesses.
My teaching method is to guide my students towards developing a wide understanding of their subject. I want to lead them to a level of understanding where they can use the knowledge and understanding I give them to reach the point where they can develop the ability to apply them to new situations.
I am currently in my second year studying Mathematics at the University of Bristol. I achieved an A* in both Maths and Further Maths at A-level, so I am confident in giving maths lessons to primary, secondary and A-level students.
I always start with a free assessment, to get to know you and devise a topic list to work through. I tailor the sessions to you, but a typical session will start with me helping you understand school work that you have not been able to complete, or mistakes you are unable to rectify. I then will deliver a tailored session to you, working through the list of topics you need help with.
My method of teaching is unique just as every student is unique. I cater to your specific needs in order to yield the best results. Overall my aim is very simple: for you to hit and perhaps even exceed your academic targets in the time frame you have requested.
My teaching method is to work slowly through all of the basic parts of my subject, because while I believe you can take short cuts to learn things in the end you do not acquire the understanding needed for harder questions that may be asked later on in papers.
Learning through hands-on experience, having great time, making maths fun and enjoyable. All the techniques I am using are learnt from the best USA teachers through a course, and my mother who has got 25 years experience in teaching maths.
I like to assess the student in the first part of the first lesson so as to learn the level of Maths they are at, at the moment because having gaps in knowledge from previous years I like to assess the student in the first part of the first lesson so as to learn the level of Maths the student is, at the moment, because in most cases that causes the issue with current topics the student is learning.
I love to mentor teenagers who are under-performing or struggling at school in any way and have 15+ years' expertise in engaging and inspiring students who need confidence-building, supporting and motivating. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Essay writing technique, for all subjects, all boards and all levels.
My aim is to raise attainment, stretch ability, build self-confidence, encourage independence and resilience, promote study skills and foster aspiration. CURRENT AVAILABILITY : SCHOOL TIME ONLY, MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY.
My teaching method is mainly based on the Task Based Learning approach, in which the topic is introduced and then the pupil's understanding is developed through the completion of tasks, as I find the most effective form of learning is applying the target knowledge.
Actually I am a Fashion Designer. But, I am a geek of the maths ... So much that I reached the final of the national math championship in Spain when I was in my last year of ESO (GCSE). In the end, I did not win because the last test was "logical" and I'm not good at it.
My style of teaching is focused on process of learning rather than on the correctness of the answer. One important thing I have learned along the way is to be patient and provide appropriate 'think' time. Ask leading questions to help students learn and understand the material. Also, relate successful study strategies to the tutee.
Hi, Im a Student currently studying Maths A Level. For my Maths GCSE I achieved a grade A. I've loved doing maths ever since i was in primary school. If your child is in year 11 or below, i will be able to teach them. For my lesson structure, ill be focused on what they are currently doing in school. We will start each lesson with the basics then get harder as the lesson progresses.
Hi, I have just completed my third year of an MSci degree in Chemistry at the University of Bristol and I am on track for a first class degree. I am able to tutor students from year 7 to A level in chemistry, maths and physics. It wasn't too long ago that I was sitting GCSE and A level exams myself so I understand the procedure very well and have good knowledge of exam technique.
My methodology as a tutor is very pupil-centric. Generally I find the first few sessions to be useful in establishing what type of learner a pupil is, and where particular gaps in their learning lie. From there, I will establish a personalised plan for the pupil, and my method of teaching will be very personalised.
- I'm a fairly laid back student who believes that repetition is the key to success. You don't practice until you get it right, but until you can't get it wrong. - I am happy to tailor each tutorial to the needs of the student but I will generally go through the theory of a given topic and then test it using past paper questions.
I prefer to tutor one to one and I am able to take pupils who are either taking GCSE's or A-levels as well as in early secondary school. My best way of teaching is to see how the pupils will respond to maths puzzles and questions as well as me teaching them the topic at the level of detail required.
