I like to understand the main problems the student has and tackle those in a way that suits the student. I also like to make sure that they understand the why, because this will enable them to tackle any problem like this in the future.
I will be teaching KS1, KS2 AND KS3 Maths. My way of teaching is that, I will ask if there is anything that they don't understand or don't feel comfortable with and if there is, I will go through that topic with them. Also if there is any exams coming up, then I will help them with what they need help with in that exam.
I take my students' education very seriously. I usually start with a Maths assessment to understand their strengths and weaknesses, and then compile a list of topics we need to work on. I aim to give the students a test every 6 weeks on the topics we have learned to ensure they understand everything.

I would first get to know the individual as well as the specific exam board. I would have 10 minutes at the start to review the last lesson, 20 minutes for the new content and another 20 minutes for questions. The last 10 minutes would be for the student's questions and be assigning some individual work too.
