My teaching method is structured, and when it comes to Math it's all about practice! I strongly believe for a mathematics student to do well all he/she must do is plenty of practice questions in order to boost confidence, so with any new concept taught, I always prepare a number of questions in order for students to reinforce what they have learned.
My teaching method is completely dependent on the individual. I understand that all children learn differently and differentiate my teaching accordingly to ensure full understanding of the subject and topic. I find it important that the basis of every subject is grasped before moving on to more difficult topics.
I teach based on the student's need. If it's for an upcoming exam with less time then I would clear the doubts and prepare for the exam. Otherwise I would try to build a basic knowledge about the topic before moving forward.
A Level/Pre-U: - Mathematics - Chemistry - Physics GCSE/IGCSE: - Mathematics - Chemistry - Physics - Biology Common Entrance/13+/11+ My teaching is focused on helping students to self-evaluate their work enabling them to use me as an expert resource as they drive their own learning.
My teaching methodology is primarily tailored to the student; having said that, more often than not the student may only need their confidence building.
Since I'm still a student i can only teach up to A-levels statistics and both tamil, malay language for all. I'll teach until the topic fully understand and of course will provide further practices and mark them to check student's knowledge.
I help students grasp the key concepts, breaking down the complicated into easier chunks of information and looking for that "a-ha" moment from the student, building confidence. I explain the information which should be understood and applied so that it is easier to recall in the exam.
True learning only comes when one is able to explain the concept on his own. This is the level of proficiency I want all students to achieve, to be able to deal with their subject matters fluently. My classes will be structured and delivered in fashion that will encourage this type of learning.
At the moment my teaching method is a one-on-one basis. I like giving lots of different examples so that my students can achieve the confidence level needed for them to tackle exam questions. Additionally, I treat my students to homework and old exam questions. We can arrange to be meeting at safe and convenient places like the City Council Library.
For me, the most important aspect of teaching is sparking an interest in the subject- I find that students are much more motivated when they understand how a subject can be applied in impressive ways. I also believe it is vital to understand concepts, rather than just remembering them.
I'm fluent in all aspects of the new national curriculum and A level content. I'm happy to work with students of varying abilities and will tailor sessions around the needs of students. For example I'm happy to plan lessons on specific topics or work on exam prep. As a tutor, I can offer strong guidance, patience and attention to detail that may not be offered within the classroom setting.
I’m a university student willing to tutor GCSE and A-level students, I prefer to teach in a more practical way, giving student questions and finding out what they’re struggling on and how best to help them, adapting teaching to each individual learner.
My teaching style is a relaxed but highly encouraging one, letting the tutee pick which topics they want to focus on. I will then prepare a series of stimulating revision exercises that not only help with the topic in question but also focus on developing synoptic links with other areas of study.
I intend to tutor students who are taking their Mathematics GCSE or below. I ensure my students are proficient in specific topics by making notes. Focus on topics students find tricky and give them past paper questions on those topics.
I base my methodology on the topics which students will be focusing on in their education, and from there build extra knowledge to create a solid understanding of a topic. To do this, it's important to take into consideration the students worries on a specific area and build sound knowledge on this.
My strong academic background ensures I have the technical expertise to impart academic knowledge to students from different backgrounds and age ranges. Having tutored students ranging in age and ability, I feel attuned to the differences in each student and I am thus capable of adapting my communication and teaching skills to the specific needs of a student.
The approach i use is to firstly explain the method in a way that would easily be understood by a beginner. Making sure the student is more than comfortable to ask any questions as we go along. If they have not quite understood the first time, I would explain in a different way until they have fully understood the concept.
I will skills developed during my graduate, postgraduate and research career to present lessons. I am an experienced electrochemist, I offer math, numerical methods including finite difference, boundary element and Monte Carlo method, and chemistry lessons to A-level, undergraduate and postgraduate.
I can assist students from years 7 to 11 with their studies to aim for improved school and GCSE grades, as well as making them feel self-confident so that they enjoy their subjects and gain motivation. Not everyone will understand a problem in the same way, so I aim to target gaps in understanding and provide explanation where a student is confused.
My methodology for teaching is tailored on an individual basis; I understand that every student has preferred methods of learning, and I try to provide resources - and change my teaching structure - to accommodate each students methodology.
My personal teaching style is good healthy balance of both theory and practical as i believe it is just as important to be physically able to complete questions on a topic as it is to be told and understand it.
Step by step and clear explanations of methods to solve even the toughest of questions. I may photocopy my GCSE notes if required and give them to the student along with practice questions where available. I will solve examples along with the student to let them get a clear idea of the concepts.
My lessons are well planned and tailored to individual student requirements. I develop students` full potential by agreeing on appropriate targets with students and the parents. The progress of the students is monitored through tests and subject understanding to achieve better results. I use a regular record sheet to inform about progress and results of the students to the parents.
I teach lessons to students or individuals that require additional help with their maths or wish to be tutored as a supplement to their classes, up to A-level standard. The outline I tend to follow is starting by finding out exactly what the individual believes to be their weaknesses.
I am a positive, patient and organised individual, committed to improving students’ confidence in their own abilities and encouraging an active interest in their learning, specifically in maths and science subjects. This is because I believe the key to success in any subject is through understanding, making it easier to digest and most importantly, to enjoy the subject.
I’m an extremely down to earth individual and believe in the importance of building good relationships with the pupils I tutor, in order to create the best learning environment possible, leading to them being able to achieve and surpass all of their targets.
I make sure that the student actually understands what they're learning, rather than cramming all the information I possibly can, which makes tests easier to deal with, and complete. This makes students feel better about any upcoming exams, which makes them perform better.
Hello, thank you for visiting my profile. If you are looking for a tutor in any of the subjects outlined, you have come to the right place. I am an articulate and professional individual, yet also very down-to-earth and easily approachable. I appreciate that everybody learns differently and that there is no "one size fits all" rule when it comes to engaging a student.
fully appreciate that despite best efforts being made by both student and teacher the environment of a classroom is not always the best one to achieve one's best. The one on one nature of my tutoring allows me to identity the specific needs and learning styles of each student and work with them in a way best suited to them alone.
I base my classes on up to date GCSE content, simple explanations to new concepts and comprehensive skill building to approaching questions. As a student myself, I know the stress of examinations and the value of recall of lesson content with a second pair of eyes.
