I have recently retired from teaching after 37 years as a highly motivated teaching professional addressing pupil’s needs and development. I remain motivated by the belief that all children can be successful learners and am enthusiastic with an ability to make learning exciting and enjoyable.
Interactive and hands on teaching and learning methods used to match the individual needs of every child. Effective assessment for learning used to allow every child to reach their full potential. Concrete, Pictorial and Abstract teaching and learning strategies used.
I'm offering lessons to GCSE students studying maths, english or computer science. I take a discussion approach when teaching as this allows students to ask questions and stay engaged.
My teaching method is to approach tasks and activities is small manageable steps in order to ensure that students reach an understanding comfortable for them.
I will check the exam board requirements, check questions in past papers, create Quizlets to be shared for independent use. Attempt to find out your learning style: Linguistic Musical, Kinesthetic, Visual, Spatial, Logical, Interpersonal or Intrapersonal. Attempt to adapt my teaching style to fit individual needs.
I always teach topic wise and go grade-wise. I have customized workbooks for Mathematics from Year 1 to GCSE and these books are purely helpful in providing a boost towards achieving A*. I have plenty of worksheets as well which I give to my students.
My approach to teaching is always to work out where the gaps in the child's learning are first and take it from there. Past papers help determine where the strengths and weaknesses are, from their we can work on each problem area a lesson at a time, breaking the subject down into more manageable chunks and working at a pace that suits the individual learner.
I base my classes around making a topic interesting as what I have found then it is easier to learn and remember if there is an interest within the material. I have given tutoring ranging from KS2 - A level. I am friendly and can get along with my student well, as it wasn't too long ago I was the one being tutored.
I'm very friendly as a tutor and I'm not too strict, I like to have a friendly and fun environment in which learning doesn't feel like a chore. During lessons I like to go over the things that the student doesn't fully understand before taking it back to basics and going over that part. Once that's done I like to go over some questions together before letting them try alone.
I first establish what the student needs help in BEFORE the session and plan a lesson tailored to them. This will involve a starter/warm-up activity to get them thinking and engaged, followed by an introduction to the fundamentals of the topic, going through some exercises together and going through a summary at the end.
The way I teach subjects depends on the subject itself. With Chemistry, we'd be using learning techniques that help increase your memory such as active learning (e.g using flashcards) and spaced repetition. With Maths, I would try to help you understand the basic concept first and do a lot of questions on that topic.
My teaching method is very flexible, and completely tailored to your needs. I can do my own lessons on specific topics which a student struggles with in particular, print out worksheets and help you complete them. Alternatively, I can help students with homework/schoolwork that they already have, and help consolidate their understanding of this material.
My teaching method is relaxed. I follow the 10 second thinking time rule that teachers in Enfield are told to follow. I also use multiple resources when teaching and lead by demonstrations.
My teaching method depends on each student and their approach to each topic, letting each student experience the topic first and then I build up on their knowledge. All of the money of this tutoring goes to British Heart Foundation.
My tutoring method may vary depending on how the student learns best, I will always put in the extra time to figure out which method is best for that individual whether it be repetition or slow step by step learning.
I am an enthusiastic teacher eager to teach students mathematics with real life examples.I would like to focus on the basics of mathematics and would prefer checking the level of understanding of the student before taking up regular sessions.I will be monitoring the progress regularly and keeping a progress report for the student that can be referred by the parents.
My teaching method is completely dependent on the individual. I understand that all children learn differently and differentiate my teaching accordingly to ensure full understanding of the subject and topic. I find it important that the basis of every subject is grasped before moving on to more difficult topics.
I can differentiate learning style and content according to need and make maths and English fun and interesting. I teach drama once a week to a community group and love to bring creativity to the sessions. I believe children learn best when they have fun and can openly discuss processes and understanding.
I believe it is extremely important for children to have control over their learning. I strongly encourage them to express their ideas and suggestions by encouraging them to ask questions. Taking into account individual needs such as cultural backgrounds, emotional considerations, and special needs, I plan my teaching to meet each child’s individuals’ learning needs.
I give lessons to anyone below degree level and am happy to focus on anything from passing an exam, to reaching for the very highest grades. I like to focus on both full exam papers, to really draw on areas to focus, as well as any particular problem areas, through a series of questions. I find the best way to learn maths is to do maths.
The teaching method I will apply is fairly theory-heavy (particularly in physics rather than maths) which I believe is the most crucial of a subject. A-Level and GCSE are notorious for saying 'this is how it's done', but not 'this is why it's done like this'. The understanding of the subject is the absolute foundation of achieving ambition, in which too many students sadly miss.
My teaching method is explaining Physics and Mechanic with real world examples to give a better understanding of the topics. Because in my point of view, the world us can be easily described by Math and Physics rules. I can teach in both English and Farsi.
My teaching method is person to person teaching and i prefer to provide my personal notes to the students to cover up the difficult areas and i prefer to conduct mock exams for the students to keep them active all the time
My teaching method is unique to every student as some require a stronger foundation of Mathematics before diving into Questions and some others may require more development in exam technique to ensure every mark is gained. Also I tend to focus on developing the understanding on concepts so that every student I teach can tackle any problems by applying the concepts they've learned.
I first explain the problem. I will try to make this as relatable to the real world as possible. Depending on ability, I will then work along side the student to come up with a method to solve the problem. I often find for maths above GCSE level, deriving/proving the equations that are going to be used can be very useful in helping a student understand the application of them.
Specialising in GCSE tuition for students taking their exam in May / June 2019. I am offering new students the first lesson for half price. I Monday to Friday after school but also during the morning for mature students / out of school students.
I am offering maths lessons up to the level of A Level Maths and Further Maths. My teaching style will mostly depend on the how the student learns. However, in general, my approach is to find out the student's weak spots and working on those first, and providing many questions as practise makes perfect.
My teaching method varies depends on the student. If you're someone who visualizes better then I'll use cards with different pictures in order for you to understand whereas if you learn by listening I'll use different methods so you can absorb the knowledge.
Through getting to know the student(s) and how they learn different things I am able to personalize my lessons to aid their learning in an efficient way. Whether the student is a visual, auditory or vocal learner, I am able to deliver a fun yet productive lesson.
At the beginning of the lesson, we will recap over the last session's lesson and we will go over any homework sheets that I had set. We will work through questions that the student found difficult and I will provide some similar questions to use as warm-up exercises. After having done this, I will teach the student based on the relevant specification that the student is using in school.
