I offer lessons for Key Stage 3, GCSE, A level and equivalent. My teaching style involves getting you to think about where results come from and understand why they work, not just learning formulae by rote. Deeper understanding leads to greater confidence with maths and the ability to apply your knowledge to unfamiliar problems.
I teach using a student focused method where I will listen to any problems the students have with the subject and then discuss how to tackle these problems and questions. I am very easygoing and I will help students on a case by case basis with focus on what they're specifically struggling with.
Own home tutoring 1-2-1 or in small groups following any preferred structure. Likes to use whiteboards/ video clips/ interactive materials to engage pupils. Flexible on timings, usually tutor on weekday nights and can commit to weekly sessions or one-offs. Experienced in marking and editing for coursework preparation.
I usually approach my teaching with different teaching methods since the students within the classroom are diverse. student teacher teacher method, reinforce, formative assessment, class discussion, test. I give class objectives and see how far we can goo within the lesson in order to see each student understanding.
I teach students how to process questions and figure out how to use the information they’re given to solve it.
I am a recent Mathematics graduate and have experience in tutoring students of all abilities up to GSCE level. My teaching method is to start from basic examples and work up using similarities to the example in question; comparing the mathematics, where possible, to real life scenarios which can be easily comprehended.
My Teaching methodology is mathematics, I teach the subject with real time examples, explain and help the students to understand the topics using the best suitable approach (Discussion method). Motivate and encorage the students for exploring the new things turns into learning.
My method of teaching is going through the literature and then testing to make sure it is understood with practice questions. If anything is not understood then it is compared to something the student enjoys to enforce memory recall. I am able to motivate students when the workload becomes overwhelming, as I have been in that position and know what is required keep going.
My teaching method changes with each person I teach.
I try to teach maths and physics in a practical sense. Many topics in these subjects feel abstract and I believe it’s inportsnt for the student to understand why they’re learning them, in order to understand them. My engineering studies enable me to do this.
I believe a person best understands something when they have had the concept explained to them individually and understand the theory behind it.
I am educated to a postgraduate level. My level of teaching is from primary level to undergrad and everything inbetween. I mark A'level exam papers for two exam boards, write exam questions and "Maths for business" courses for training companies and travel around the country training tutors how to teach maths better.
I just help the student with what they're struggling with in school. I will try to teach them in a fun but structured and efficient way, so they can learn while enjoying themselves. The students won't be rushed into learning, and I will patiently allow them to work at their own pace.
I look at what needs to be learnt, how much (if any) the student knows and work from there. Anything that is difficult to understand I will find a way to make easier that suits a particular student, for example there are visual learners so I would draw it out etc. To help remember what has been learnt repetition is the best thing. Writing/drawing it out, saying it outloud etc really do work.
My teaching method involves firstly understanding what sort of level of intellect the student is at and then starting from there. I make sure to involve plenty of examples and diagrams where possible and to treat each student differently. I want all my students to feel comfortable in their ability and for them to see real progress without exerting too much pressure.
Teach students up to Maths GCSE or FSMQ level. Can help with the structure of notes and explaining of specific questions in all topics up to that level. Am currently studying Maths A Level so can teach the correct method the exam board wants to see and correct set up for studying it in later life.
I will base my classes around the student in order to keep them interested in studying as I know myself that it does not appeal to everyone, I would do so by relating to things they are interested in so that they feel at ease and they do not become bored.
I believe that the best way to learn is through a practical approach so I would get you doing fun exercises to help you understand and retain information. I am very friendly and approachable so hope to create a working environment that will put you at ease and ensure you get the most out of your lessons.
One to one lessons tailored to help the student develop skills in areas they are struggling with.
I typically give lessons to high school and university student level. The class is based on understanding and practice. First understand the content of the lesson, and then practice, practice and more practice to build confidence.

Currently pursuing PhD. in Aerospace Propulsion at Cranfield University. I have completed my BEng. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire UK and my MSc. in Aerospace Propulsion from Cranfield University UK with first class honours. I am a gold medalist in mathematics at the International Mathematics Olympiad with my global ranking being 192.
I am a 22 year old graduate who is ready to help give maths tutoring and lessons to Primary and Secondary school (including A Level). I like to explain the problems and put them in to real life issues so people can visually understand what we need to work out.
My teaching method is heavily focused on practice questions. I believe the key to improvement in mathematics is plenty of practice - seeing is believing! It is also important to have fun while studying mathematics as it is pretty abstract at times.
I can give lessons to anyone under the age of 18, I believe practice in questions and repitition is essential in learning Maths but engaging the student with quizes and fun excersises nearer the end of the session is better way to keep the student focused and engaged.
In my teaching I focus on understanding, as memory without understanding is unreliable, particularly under the stress of exams. To build confidence, I insist on plenty of exercises and practice problems. If you have already seen the material you want to learn, we'd start with figuring out what areas need deeper understanding.
I am a patient teacher, in a one to one style, I explain, demonstrate, recap, happy to do so until my learner understands fully
My teaching method will be one on one focusing in the main areas you want to improve, not only providing theoretical knowledge, but also practical for better understanding of the subject. I am based in Cranfield, but I can travel to Milton Keynes, Bedford or surrounding areas.
