I believe it is extremely important for children to have control over their learning. I strongly encourage them to express their ideas and suggestions by encouraging them to ask questions. Taking into account individual needs such as cultural backgrounds, emotional considerations, and special needs, I plan my teaching to meet each child’s individuals’ learning needs.
I am an A-level student hoping to tutor GCSE or students of a lower age. My teaching method varies on the subject. For example, for maths, I would teach the content and give the students a few questions to attempt and help them when they get stuck.
My teaching method consists of firstly understanding the students knowledge of topics within that certain topics and highlighting areas of strengths and weaknesses (RAG system closely working with their specification), further ensuring maximum benefit of these sessions.
Lots of repetition tends to be the way forward with Maths. Exams boards often want you to be good at not the actual understanding of the theory. More so the practice of using it in exam questioning. The best way to combat this is to repeat multiple exam questions.
I believe that a good understanding of principles and theory is key to achieving the highest grades across most subjects, as this provides the understanding needed to deal with difficult questions. However I am also flexible and can adopt different approaches for students of different ability.
I have a very simplistic but effective method. We work our way from basics, establishing a sound knowledge of underlying ideologies, as we progress, teaching style and session structure will be personally tailored to each individual based on their capabilities and performance.
I structure my lessons differently based on the students. I help the students to identify problem areas and then work together with them on materials I provide. I also set them a little extra work to do by the next session, to ensure their understanding, and go through any problems they had at the start of their next session.
I will teach in easy way of solving it efficiently and quickly .
I have had experience of coaching members of staff in the branch (6 years experience). My teaching style is more aligned to coaching in the private sector. As a part of my degree I carried out training in the use of technology in French at GCSE level.
The most important aspect of a 1-on-1 tutoring session is that it must be a conversation, not a lecture. I challenge my students to work out the answers, rather than just giving it to them, which is much more effective. My lessons are enjoyable and good-humoured, as I believe this is extremely important for students to learn well. My lessons are also exam-focussed.
My teaching is very practical and tailored to student's specific learning methods and abilities. Being in the first year of students to sit the new GCSE's, my experience and knowledge of the new specification is what makes my teaching stand out as a tutor and definitely will be able pass on the necessary skills required to ace the exams.
I am happy to tutor anyone going on to do their GCSEs or anyone in years 6-9. I will help students by going through any difficulties individually with them and helping them make structured notes and sharing the notes papers and books I have collected to help them increase their understanding and practice further.
I like to create challenge for my students, I provide an insight into the topic and allow them to understand the basic principles through examples. I then test their knowledge making sure they fully understand before moving forward. I aim to make the experience fun whilst also pushing boundaries to allow students to surpass their potential. Achieve great results by aiming high.
My teaching method is for people to be taught at the comfort of their own home through online services as I will arrange calls
My teaching methods is engaging the student 100%.
Approachable understandable and patient it really works well worth he young rj kids.
My teaching methods is to ask the student what they know and what they need help on and if the student is stuck in assist him and teach him a quick and easy method to tackle that math question.
I based my classes on active participating, whether that be through focussed listening, discussion, problem solving.
For most of the students, math is a scary thing. At first approach, they face the math problems from the platform which can be solved very nice and tricky way. Currently, I am studying at the University of Buckingham on Applied Computing where programming shows me the different angle to solve different problems.
I am a first year student at Queen Mary University of London undergoing a integrated masters degree (MEng) for Mechanical Engineering. Having achieved A* Maths GCSE, A* Further Maths GCSE and A in Maths A Level, I strongly believe I will be a very competent Maths Tutor. My aim with any student is to ensure each session is engaging and effective.
I base my classes on establishing deeper understanding of topics and working on identifying and rectifying any gaps in knowledge. This sets students up for ultimate success at GCSE and beyond, allowing them to easily decipher the increasingly wordy and challenging questions come exam season.
I have completed my second year of university studying mathematics. I will give lessons to children of all ages but in particular those studying for their 11+, GCSE Maths and A-level Maths. I am available most evenings and weekends.
From previously taking on Maths and Chemistry at GCSE (and then as an A level), I've learnt various techniques from my teachers, family and friends which simplify difficult problems.
I believe the key to my success at GCSE and A Level was determining my learning style. This is so important as the way students are taught in school doesn't always work for everybody. I aim to help my pupils discover this and tailor the lessons to suit.
My teaching method is repetition and going over the work numerous times, also flashcards and making notes is key to achieve those top grades - in which I will teach
My teaching methodology is very simple and straightforward. I believe Mathematics is all about exploring, reasoning and challenging thinking, rather than just learning so I Encourage students to develop original ideas. I always tend to show different ways to solve the same problem and encourage the students to come up with their own creative ways to solve them.
I teach mainly by explaining ideas and then using examples that students can understand in order to help build up knowledge. I then have students practise these concepts by using a variety of examples and practice questions in order to familiarise students with new ideas.
I’m a Cover supivisor at a school. I cover the teaching ages of 3-11. I’ve been cover teaching full time for the past 2 years. I have a fantastic rapport with all the children that I teach. I am currently tutoring at the moment and I’m getting very positive feedback also.
Following initial assessments, I can identify the areas of the curriculum to work on at KS3 and GCSE levels. The lessons include an overview of the theory behind each topic including fact sheets. The key to success in Science is to then practise numerous and varied exam style questions consolidating the understanding of the subject.
I am new to the tutoring to the kids outside of my family. I believe that every child is unique and requires different method. It is best to learn using real life examples and i try my best to use this in my lessons.
