30 minute or hour lessons. I am a first study singer in my first year of my music degree at cardiff University.
Most importantly, I value the importance of loving music through the process of learning. Within a framework that develops, firstly, technical facility, I hope to encourage my students to actively think about the music they make, and in doing so, equip my students with the ability to be subsequently be empowered through their music-making skills.
Basically I teach at my place. My methodology is first I would like to start with the basics along with the music theory until there is perfection especially for reading the musical notes. Then I would start with few interesting songs by slowly increasing the level of teaching upto composition.
I am a psychology student who teaches music part time. I give lessons to those who want to start the flute or who have had some experience in playing (up to grade 4). I tailor each lesson to the student's needs and wants, so the lesson is never boring to that individual. I aim to make each session fun and relaxing, but can teach the student how to perform under pressure also.
I teach all skill levels how to create and compose music on the spot. This is the most liberating aspect of being a musician.
If you're spending hours slaving away playing something you don't enjoy, you're doing it wrong! I prefer to teach music on a casual platform. I believe music is to be enjoyed and played for expression as well as entertainment rather than as a soulless bootcamp. Music should be free and come effortlessly.
Lessons are fun and friendly and tailored to you or your child! I'll be setting realistic goals for students to work on each week which are written down in their notebook.
I am able to teach from beginner to Diploma standard, and prepare pupils for examinations. I can tailor my lessons to each individual's needs, whether they are sitting exams or playing for fun. I structure every lesson accordingly to ensure progression is maintained in each pupil's development.
I am looking to teach those that have not played before, or haven't played in a long time, that are looking to try something new or rebuild their skills. If you have a particular piece would like to learn, or just want to learn generally, I will help build your skills at a pace that suits you.
