As a teacher I adapt myself to the client needs and availability. I am flexible. My methodology is modern, updated, interactive and different to classic lessons. I don't teach a subject, I show the pupil how to learn by himself.
According to academic research, linguists have demonstrated that there is not one single best method for everyone in all contexts, and that no one teaching method is inherently superior to the others. However, I prefer Direct Method (also called Natural Method).
Lessons will be designed and suited according to your interests and needs. However, speaking will definitely be involved to help you gain confidence and fluency by practising and learning new vocabulary in each lesson. We'll have fun! I can teach any kind of level and students of all ages are welcome to apply. I have a strong attention to detail.
My classes combine the traditional method with the latest trends. The first is an assessment of the student to determine their level and abilities. Based on the results, I designed a personalized program which included: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and conversation. Part of the program I include teaching materials and online tutorials to give to the student the tools for their learning.
Hello! I offer Spanish tutoring up to A Level standard for students who are preparing to take exams either this summer on in coming years.
I like to focus my lessons in conversational aspects, most of my students have had the need of living abroad or being a tourist, so the need for conversation and understanding locals has been quite big! I'm not a homework teacher or anything related to do it by yourself, I like to support my students and help them through everything.
I make learning fun and relevant. On a one to one basis I adapt the lessons according to the student's needs. In a group I tend to follow a designed study program. I use music and a variety of visual aids, like photo cards, posters and realia. With me, students will learn more than a language; they will learn the culture, origin of words, current language trends, a bit of history, etc.
In my lessons you will find: Vocabulary Grammar Oral comprehension Written comprehension Oral expression Written expression Communication skills I use audiovisual resources because I think it is a good and funny way to learn. But I am really looking forward to offering whatever you prefer in order to learn Spanish.
As a start, I would like to give lessons for beginners. I am more than happy to work with children, young people or adults. My approach is taking things slow and thorough. getting to know the language through familiarising the student with the culture as well, however I am quite serious about grammar.
I give lessons to people looking to gain a basic understanding of Spanish. I start my lessons by providing relevant vocabulary on the lesson´s topic, and discussing real life examples before using exercises to reinforce knowledge. Having worked with children I am very patient and dynamic.
My teaching philosophy stems from establishing and nurturing a positive relationship with the language, you must enjoy learning in order to really succeed. I teach degree level Spanish literature, and anywhere from beginner to advanced Spanish and English language classes. I incorporate games, acting, group work and also worksheet based lessons.
I tutor based upon my own experience of learning English. I try to cater to any sessions of conversational tutoring to mirror conversations you might have within a Spanish speaking country. I speak standard Spanish with a Costa Rican dialect. Within any tutoring I give, I always seek to ensure the student has a solid understanding and feel for the local culture.
I base my methodology on the pupils' needs and strengths, approaching the language from different sources, free association of ideas and in connection to their previous knowledge, no matter how deep it is.
Teaching experience. I have taught adults in a variety of settings and home tutoring for academic and travelling purposes. Engage with the Spanish world. I plan my classes and teach through history, culture, food, literature, movies, news and destinations of the Spanish. Tailored guidance. With a flair for teaching, I help my students build their skills and reach their full potential.
My teaching method is to combine the traditional tools (as studying the grammar rules) with new methods (as gaming). After the lesson, some exercises to settle down the new knowledge. You can choose if you have homework to be corrected the next class.
I have taught young students for the most part, and am familiar with several coursebooks and different teaching approaches. I like to base mine on the students' needs. After an initial assessment, I take into account what the student expects from the course, their goals, and their learning habits.
My lessons are personalised, adapted for every person/group. Student centred, mainly focused on communication skills, but always adapted to the student's needs, interests and aims.
I tailor lesson plans and learning plans according to every student's special needs and goals so that you can have a more personalized learning experience. Language learning and teaching are both great passions of mine. I speak 8 languages (6 at a professional level) and teach 3 of them. I teach with a lot of enthusiasm, patience and with an overall positive approach.
I can teach from primary to degree level of Spanish. Usually people bring me the materials they are given at school so that I can work with them on that. If not I make a lesson plan to deal with what the student wants to learn such as verbs, speaking or listening tasks.
I build the lessons around songs. This way, students are immediately immersed in vocabulary, culture, natural pronunciation and expression, and learn about a place and people in a fresh and exciting way. I've combined 15+ years as a language teacher, musician and intercultural trainer to create the best language lessons I could create.
Accuracy and fluency are the keystones of language learning, but I aim for more. I focus on fostering language that is idiomatic. In speaking that means aiming to sound natural, appropriate and not like a textbook. In writing that means avoiding interference and an awareness of writing conventions in the target language.
Lessons will be thoroughly planned and structured before-hand to ensure they run effectively. I believe progress checks and repetition are paramount when learning a language too. Having sat languages exams, it is essential not only to know the content, but also to understand what the examiner wants. Therefore exam practice will be included if necessary.
I am a fun, patient and approachable individual and know various techniques to complete work to a high standard, having done it all myself. I can cater for all levels up to university level and can form lessons around your needs and requests. Just send me an email or a text message.
I based my classes on material that I will provide, focusing on the personal goals of each student. We can use interesting TED talks if you want to improve your speaking, real articles from Spanish newspapers, fragments of Spanish TV films and series...
I can give lessons to any person who desires to improve vocabulary, comprehension, pronunciation and writing skills. To me, it is really important to learn at the same time you have fun, so my classes are very interactive and flexible. I can adapt to the level of the person and his or her needs ( DELE, academic writing, familiar situations, etc.
The most important thing for me is to feel comfortable with each other. We all have different and unique needs, so communication is very important.
My teaching method is simple, I adapt to what you want. If you want conversation lessons to improve your vocabulary, we can do that. If you want help with homework or practicing certain topics, we can do that too. By speaking to a fluent Spanish person you will be able to pick up Spanish easily.
My way of teaching is based in using logical thoughts and theory applied to real life situations. I love to interact with the student and encourage them to be better every single time, and try and get the results by themselves, thinking about solutions and how they can be applied in different situations rather than repeating back what has been discussed.
A language should be fun, interesting and enjoyable. For this reason, I try to make each lesson understandable, easy to digest and fun. I place a big emphasis on speaking as I felt that at school, I learned how to read and write but didn't ever practise speaking or listening.
