My teaching method is to basically base all the topics that are going to be covered in real life examples. Therefore, the student can relate the topic with nowadays scenarios and have a better understanding of the topic. I also use graphic material and the main idea is to have fun while we learn.
I am a very patient person who is never defeated so if a student does not understand immediately how to approach a problem I give them the tools to work through the problem and with patience.
As a tutor, I take the same approach that I aspired my tutors to take, when I was a student. This means a lot of student interactions, starting from the fundamentals and then moving on. I aim to involve the student a lot in the subject, by giving them routine home tasks. I find it very interesting giving lessons to Secondary and Highers students.
I first find out what you don't know or understand and how you study in order to better tailor a lesson to you. That way, we can make the best of the time we have and you can leave knowing more when you leave instead of being more confused or knowing just as you did coming in.
Understanding the fundamentals first is key. We can then develop understanding through tackling topic relevant problems. Discussion of relevant theories and even small demonstrations of basic physics principles are necessary for a students understanding and I'm happy to do so. Seeing is believing after all.
My teaching method is by first explaining skills while doing simple practices and finally ending with a quiz on the subject.
The most effective way of teaching, which i follow, is to explain the theoretical concept behind any concept and try and help other to visualize it.
I take this tutoring role very seriously, and while my approach to teaching may seem light-hearted, it is to put you at ease as I do not want to come across as intimidating. I am very enthusiastic when I teach, and during our tutor sessions, I will accord you my full attention because time is precious and I do not wish to waste both your and my time.
My teaching method varies depending on the individual, I like to structure it best around how they learn. The main idea is to provide the student with an understanding of the topic so they can tackle any question they are faced with.
I like to make learning fun for my learners by enabling them to visualize the topics being taught by relating the topics to real life scenarios.
In my opinion, teachers emphasise memorizing formulas too much and rarely explain what they actually represent. If a student knows what formula means he/she can implement it on any problem. All of the sudden physics and maths become fun scientific fields which help you to understand the world around you.
I have been trained by the most inspiring science tutors and this has greatly motivated me to help others understand seemingly tough science concepts in a creative manner that suits the student's learning ability. My tutoring approach is to understand my student, emphasize on his or her strengths and patiently work on weaknesses.
It varies with the type of student. Generally, I always like my students to understand the problem from analytical perspective so that he/she understands the core of the problem. This allows them to solve a different question in the exam without any difficulty. The other thing is - I believe in taking a lot of tests which helps to develop their learning and execution.
Hello everyone, I am an MBA with the degree in an Electrical Engineering, and my teaching is based on practical and logical method, effective learning for the students, explaining students with the live example so that the student can grasp more and more. after teaching some quiz type short quick test to analyze the understanding of the student. Three principles in which I work as 1.
I am comfortable giving maths and physics lessons to all levels within secondary school and undergraduate engineering degrees. I am a patient person that tailors my lessons to the individual. In my lessons I will simplify the topic you are having difficulties with to a level that you feel comfortable. I will then provide assistance as we increase the complexity to exam standard.
My Teaching Method is to simplify the subjects so that anyone can understand it easily and fast. It is also a method I use for myself. I had a couple great teachers that made the subjects interesting and got me into them. I found kids learn best when they can use the things they have learned in everyday activities.
I'm an engineering student at the university of Aberdeen seeking for a challenging career in a progressive organization where I can acquire current and relevant knowledge and develop effective skills to maximize individual and organizational productivity. By helping other student I'm also helping myself to recall previous knowledge.
As a Tutor, I am patient and I try to setup up the basics for my student. I always make sure that everything I teach is accurate and break it down to my student as simply as possible. When it is preparation for an exam, then I help practice for the exam strategically to get the best marks possible.
A devised methodical process ensuring the ‘why?’ is always explained and answered. Ensure you will be able to achieve all marks with full working out tips. Apt with AQA and Edexcel.
I give lessons based on what the student needs and for that I like to have them understand in a visual and computational way the tool they want to use for an exercise. It is like I am showing the paths and the follow each path until they find the right one.
I am a German physics student in Aberdeen. I give classes up to university level. For my classes I like to use simple examples from the daily life to explain abstract concepts, as they often appear in maths and pyhsics. I like to use simple explaining methods and exercises, especially in maths following the concept learing by doing referring to examples, as mentioned.
Hello student, I am Nicholas. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Petroleum Engineering with First Class Honours, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. I am currently doing my MSc in Petroleum Engineering at University of Aberdeen. I provide tutoring service at GCE Advanced and Ordinary levels, as well as Science and Engineering Undergraduate level.
My approach is firstly giving a broad understanding of the core concepts which then allow me to focus teaching on the exams and report writing to pass the courses.
I base my classes on solving specific examples that picture the methods in clear and understandable way, also make use of Khan Academy materials for support.
I have a PhD in Genetics and following an academic research career, I have more recently been self-employed as a private tutor, coaching local (Aberdeen, Scotland) primary and secondary students in person on a 1 to 1 or small group (2-3 students) basis. I also tutor students online who prefer this mode of coaching or are not in the immediate vicinity.
I personally prefer to work on the topics my pupil finds the hardest, once those topics are explained in detail and fully understood, I would then move onto the other easier topics on the syllabus. I find this method most effective because it eliminates the fear from the subject from the onset, there's nothing worse than running away from the topics that you feel are your weakest.
I explain the concepts and formulas first and then problems in a categorised manner, so the student can be easily understand and build with the complexity of problems. Always provide sufficient number of examples, and I also give supplementary handy notes material.
PhD researcher and I give lessons to primary and secondary school pupils. Very organised and patient with my work, I do thorough research and explained the subject matter repeatedly to my students. I plan my lessons effectively to ensure that the standard of students are met. I am Competent, intelligent, good demonstrator and effective communicator.
PhD candidate in engineering, with experience in both one-on-one and class tutoring for maths, physics, chemistry and general engineering courses. I tutor secondary school students and also undergraduates. I deliver my tutorials by breaking down the complex into the simple. This is done by pinning relationships between what is being taught and what the student experiences in their everyday life.
My teaching method is combining the idea of 'practice makes perfect' with a fun approach that keeps my students interested and keen to learn more.
