PhD qualified science tutor with recent teaching experience in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Will travel to you! Recent DBS check (March 2013) and extensive experience with GirlGuiding UK. References and evidence of qualifications available. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Biology, Chemistry and Physics. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I offer tutoring to GCSE students in the field of predominantly maths and physics, but can also teach school sciences. I also offer maths tutoring to primary school students. I am most familiar with the AQA exam board, but also know the scheme of work for other GCSE exam boards and I can familiarise myself with the scheme of work for primary school maths education.
My unusual name is Razi. Teaching is in y genetics, my mom, and grandparents were teachers and I am no anomaly to this teaching dynasty. I am very laid - back and love the opportunity to meet new people. Furthermore, the best thing that teaching gives me is that it makes me know that I've helped someone, changed someones life for the better, and hopefully inspired someone to aim high.
Lesson subject matter is usually student-led, but always encompasses brain warm-ups and an infusion of history to give the subject more relevance. I bring along a whiteboard and pens for both of us to use, to promote conversation and the flow of ideas. I try as far as possible to promote mental calculation, pending my students' interest and ability.
My teaching method is to learn how the individual learns and to adapt my way to suit them.
I will be focusing on completing past paper experience and written questioning to tease out any misconceptions as well as being available for general questions. Scientifically proven as the best way to achieve higher grades. I want you to feel comfortable with the types of questions you will face in the exam before you go in.
I am enthusiastic and fully committed to education. Teaching experiences from KS2 to post-19 education has provided a sound opportunity to enhance education and subsequent life. My students are always actively engaged in learning - join me. - Which subject(s) do you teach? General Science, Maths and English Language to KS3. Balanced Science and Separate Sciences to GCSE.
As a Physics teacher I was always very careful about the quality of my teaching and up to-date in my lectures in every semester. During lectures I always made sure that the students were with me and I always put all of my efforts to inspire and motivate them. I can communicate with students from various backgrounds and can properly encounter the students who have different learning capabilities.
I try to use practical examples as often as possible in my teaching. I aim to engage and enthuse pupils in the subjects being taught and try to bring my own experience of real-life science into my teaching whenever possible.
My approach is flexible, student-focused and target aimed. I have experience of teaching algebra and trigonometry to students to help them fill the gaps in fundamental knowledge and make sure they could progress in their Physics course. I am keen to engage students by conducting small experiments and introducing smart animations to reveal physical phenomenon.
I am an AS student currently studyingChemistry, maths, physics and ICT. I can teach primary, secondary, GCSE and AS level students. I charge £17 an hour but there is room for negotiation.
My teaching methodology is based around exam style questions as this best helps boost exam grades. I will accurately assess what the pupil knows and any misconceptions they may harbour so I can address and correct them appropriately to give a good foundation to then look at higher level questions to ensure they can access the majority of a paper.
My teaching method involves as much direct practise at exam questions as possible, the more exposure you have had to past paper questions the higher the chance of success. My focus is to teach you through step by step methods, that work as set solutions, this removes the thinking process, saves time and makes maths intuitive.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Maths and Physics at GCSE, A-Level or for any other qualification you might be studying for. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have straight As and A*s at GCSE and 3 As at A-level. I have a BSc Physics (1st class) and am currently working on a research project at Jodrell Bank Observatory.
Hi my name is Faraz and I am a Chemical Engineeing student at the University of Manchester I am looking to teach students from GCSE to A levels. Having recently gone through these tough but rewarding periods of education I believe I understand the mindset of these types of students.
My pupils are at the forefront of their own learning - I facilitate their learning and continuously challenge my pupils. I always have learning objectives at the start of each lesson and these are checked at the end of every lesson.
I give lessons to GCSE students and lower, down to primary school level, focusing on Maths, Physics and English, however I am flexible with my teaching, hence am able to teach a variety of subjects, including Chemistry, Biology, Computing, Design and Technology and also History.
I teach mathematics and physics both up to A2 level (as well as GCSE and below) and can teach mathematics at an undergraduate level. I am willing to teach in a range of styles, however what I prefer (and recommend) teaching is a more in depth understanding of the material taught on the course.
I own a Ph.D. degree in Physics from a top level university and am a physicist & senior optical and laser scientist with working experiences in UK, Japan, France and China. I am offering 1-to-1, 1-to-2. 1- to -3 and 1-to-4 maths and physics lessons in Manchester/Stockport area.
I approach teaching by thoroughly explaining a concept and then applying it to lots of different areas. This is mainly done through practice questions and past papers. I aim to pinpoint areas that the student finds difficult and spend lots of time consolidating knowledge.
Every student is different and everyone has specific weaker areas, therefore, I tailor my methods to my students’ individual needs. However, one thing universal to all that I teach is my rigorous approach, as I really care about my students. As long as they are willing to put the work in, I will do everything I can to help them achieve their goals.
I am a young and creative tutor that is keen to look at students' School/College work and lesson plans in depth as to prepare fun and effective lesson schedules that enhance and maximise a student's understanding in each topic. I love finding many different ways to explain the same concepts should a pupil need a more thorough approach to their learning.
In my tuition, I will offer the following: • Structured lessons with relevant learning outcomes • Weekly homework to monitor students’ progress • Advice on university degrees and career opportunities in Mathematics and Physics • Preparation for A Level, GCSE and key stage 1, 2 and 3 examinations
Hi there, my name is Edward I am a second year student at the club university of Manchester studying Physics. I took maths, further maths, chemistry, Spanish and physics at A level. I am profficient in all subjects and teach it well. I have experience looking after kids at a friends daycare club called CASA club in Surrey.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach A-level Physics and Maths (Core/Pure & Mechanics). Please note that I currently do not tutor further maths, statistics or decision modules. - Tell me about your qualifications. Ph.D. in Physics (2006) MPhys (Hons) Physics (2003) A-level physics, maths and geography (1999) - How much do you charge? Normal lessons are £30 per hour.
Teaching must be as fun as possible. This is why all students are treated in a friendly manner so there is no hesitation in asking any questions and as many times as possible. They are given extra help even when not physically available via online collaboration software as time is crucial for every student and therefore as a teacher, it is necessary to be always there for them whenever needed.
For A Level students, I offer a deeper insight into the fundamentals of subjects to help you gain a more thorough understanding upon which to build. I aim to focus on areas of subjects which I, and other people I went to school with, found challenging, and hope to show you the methods I used to overcome these difficulties.
My approach towards teaching is student-centred with aspect of inquiry based learning. My role is to coach and facilitate student learning and overall comprehension of material while measuring the student's learning continuously through formal and informal methods of assessment.
I am from Leeds but live in Manchester as I am undertaking a MEng in Chemical Engineering (1st Year). I use a free online virtual whiteboard platform with a graphics tablet from my end so students can clearly see my writing and add ideas themselves to the shared area. I encourage the student to choose a topic they struggle with and ask as many questions as humanly possible to enrich their learning.
I am a medical school graduate interested in providing tutoring in the following subjects from grade 6 upto GCE O-level: Mathematics Physics Chemistry I prefer providing one-on-one lessons (though online tutoring can also be arranged). My goal is simple: to ensure that you score no less than a B in your exams.
