I am currently doing my PhD in mathematics at Imperial College London, but my background is in theoretical physics. I have been a physics and mathematics tutor for three years now, mentoring about 80 students, up to university level.
My style is to always try and teach the underlying theory rather than just the answers to exam questions in a very interactive way. I do however like to use past exam papers as they will give an idea of the types of questions asked in exams and how they are phrased as well as improving exam technique.
I base my classes on the weak areas of the student. I have had nearly 20 years of experience and get excellent results. I have particular success at getting students into grammar school or other selective schools.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach GCSE Chemistry, GCSE Double Science (biology, chemistry and physics). I also teach A-level Chemistry OCR (Chemistry A). I have had experience in AQA and OCR (Chemistry B) A-level too. - Tell me about your qualifications.
Experienced, Friendly and Affordable 11+ tutor who is sincere and hard-working and promises to help bring out the best in your child. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I specialise in 11+ training in Maths (Key Stage 1, 2 & 3), Verbal reasoning, Non-Verbal reasoning and English (Comprehension, Essay Writing and Grammar).
Even the most confusing Science can be made accessible if approached from a different way. The key is to unlock your learning style so that you can understand the way in which you can learn best Sometimes in science the textbook just doesn't seem to explain a concept fully. In today's world of 3D cinematography the bland pages of the textbook make learning difficult for some.
I approach each tutor session by looking at the particular weaknesses of the individual and tailoring sessions to suit. I like to have an initial session to identify areas of weakness and create an action plan for the sessions to follow.
I am very well qualified in Chemistry, having gained a PhD (Organic Chemistry), MSc and BSc (1st class) as well as a PGCE (Secondary Science teaching). I currently teach science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) at KS3 and Chemistry and Physics at KS4, as well as Chemistry at KS5.
My teaching methods are mostly student lead (by that i mean focusing on their needs). I like to break down complicated things in to their simplest form and explaining them in a way that make sense for everyone and differentiated to cater for everyone.
Results 2017: A-level. A* 50% of tutees, A grade 30% of tutees, B 10% of tutees C/D. 10% GCSE: 70 % A *, 20% A, 10% B. I help parents and children who are striving for good grades in GCSE/A-level or degree level exams in Science subjects. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I am a good listener and I tailor my lessons to suit individual learning needs and focus on what the pupil needs the most. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I can teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3, KS4. I can teach Physics at KS5.
I am a qualified and science teacher. I have graduated with 2:1 then completed Secondary science PGCE and have gained QTS. I have extensive experience in the classroom, small groups and 1:1 tutoring across KS3 to A level. I am familiar with the new OCR, AQA and EDEXEL curriculum. I am very patient, friendly and approachable which would make pupils be at ease.
I am one of a small number of the UK's elite "career" tutors. I do not do tutoring on the side of another profession nor fit it in around other studies - it is my sole occupation and my passion.
I'm an A-level student studying Maths, Physics and History, willing to tutor those at GCSE level Maths, Science and History or As level Mathmatics. I use the students own homework and class work to make sure their knowledge is secure and build upon areas where they struggle.
I am a current student at University of Aberdeen, I am French and therefore can teach in both English and French. I studied the International Baccalaureate (IB). I am most confident with teaching high school students (year 8-12). I prefer to teach around practising a lot as I believe this is the way to assimilate lessons.
I believe it is very important to tutor each student as an individual according to their ability and goals.
I have a BSc (Mathematics and Physics) degree from the University of South Africa. Eight years ago I took early retirement from an engineering career in South Africa and immigrated with my wife to France. I use the BBC website and a graphics tablet. I try to make the lessons more interesting by drawing on my engineering background.
I am a fully qualified mathematics teacher with over 17 years' experience who is available for tuition at Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach both mathematics and physics up to A-Level including Mechanics, Statistics.and Further Maths I also teach Chemistry at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. - Tell me about your qualifications.
My teaching method is based on getting the tutee to understand the base concept first and then be able to apply that to questions. This is vital in the new style of GCSEs as they require a lot more thinking for yourself and applied knowledge, having done them myself I will be able to provide key tips and techniques.
The typical lesson will usually look like this: First we review with the student what was done in class, I then help the student fully understand the lessons while helping with the homework. Occasionally we will have a training lesson over what was seen in anticipation of a test. I believe that every student has a great potential which just needs to be unleashed.
I like to find alternative ways to teach than the ones provided at school/lectures. Focusing on 'real world' examples to help relate and visualize what is occurring or try to explain the subject so you understand what is happening, this is key. I also will prepare you for exams breaking down how to get to the answer as soon as possible, extracting only the necessary out of the question.
Initially my focus is right on the basics to develop a good platform in order to build up the learning process on it.
My teaching methodology is basically an engineer’s approach; identifying the problem that each individual student has, and finding the solution by strengthening that area through careful explanation or further practice. This way each student has a tailored experience rather than a general overview of the course, as they would in school.
It's very important to me to teach using examples so that a student can be more involved and feel more confident in their skills walking away from a lesson. This also allows me to understand the student's ability and tailor a lesson more specifically to them. I am able to teach at A-level (or equivalent) and below.
I provide 1 to 1 and group tuition to all subjects at GCSE and A level. To make sure students are happy with my teaching I provide a free 1hr trial. I prepare notes, worksheets and mark questions outside lesson to make sure that the 1hr is 100% utilised in teaching.
My teaching method adapts to the students. Typically when tutoring a student I sit down 1-1 and after identifying key areas of difficulty work through them with examples. This however varies greatly if I'm teaching a class and with the subject.
My teaching method is learning from examples and using these examples to construct steps that can be used to tackle any problem. My teaching style is very structured and organised.
Before the first session I will ask the student to specify their syllabus so I can prepare for exactly which kinds of issues the student may encounter. Proceeding this, in the first session I will look to assess student by asking questions on all parts of the syllabus they have covered.
I try to teach something extra always to get that extra marks at the exam. I believe in patient teaching as all students are not equal. It only takes me a couple classes to understand the level of any student.
I first like to ask my students what they struggle with or need work on, then find material that is specific to this topic. I can also help with homework and if I feel the student is confident I will try to introduce further material and help the student to push further on his/her studies.

Physics is the study of of the entire universe down to its smallest form. From atoms to the interaction of protons, neutrons and electrons, all of life is made up of these items. Of course, it is far more complicated than this, and for many students, it is complicated to the point of simply not understanding the subject matter. That is why using the help of private teachers with physics private lessons is such a good idea. With the help of these private lessons, any student, no matter how much they are struggling, is going to receive specific, tailor crafted lessons and plans to help them understand the subject and give them the tools to move forward in the class.
Not all students learn the same way, so going in and hiring physics private teachers is such an important option. With the help of these electricity private lessons and the engineering private teachers, it is possible for any student, regardless of how they learn, to finally grasp the set topic. Learning these topics is not always going to be easy, but the private teachers are there to discover how a child might learn and what is the best way for them to understand the subject.
Our Physics tutors write articles on their subject to help you better understand the material.
