I have studied music since my childhood. In NYC, I attended The Manhattan School of Music (BA in Music Theory) and Hunter College (MA in Composition). Music theory is of great interest to me for its beauty and as a composer; and the piano is the vehicle I use to compose, teach and, of course, play for fun.
I have completed a Bachelor of Music degree, majoring in contemporary vocals, and have 10 years teaching experience with a variety of ages. Tailoring my approach to suit each individual, I use various combined teaching methods, while still focusing on the importance of technique.
I'm considering one on one teaching for students of any age. Classes will be in a very structured and planned manner. And an adequately paced class ensures maximum coverage of topics in the right amount of time, but at the same time being able to follow well.
I use the Musikgarten method as well as Susuki for the children. The Orff aproach and Alfred,s methodology for adolescents and adults. Students get motivated and start playing quickly an ample selection of repertoire in the classical, jazz and pop styles.
Structure of class: 45 minutes 1) exercises and techniques - these are very essential in moulding and strengthening the fingers while playing the piano.
I design lessons for each individual's needs. Lessons teaching music theory, sheet music reading, using method books, and teaching chord charts and guitar tablature for learning songs. Lessons are taught weekly, available in 30 or 60 min. classes.
I have a gentle, fun approach that makes learning music exciting. My experience teaching kindergarten has given me different strategies to motivate all types of students.
I think that the best way to teach someone to play the piano is to have them learn music that they want to learn, but with a classical approach. For example, if a student wanted to learn to play “Hey Jude”, then I would get an arrangement of it and teach it to them using classical tequniques.
I am a RETIRED teacher of the core subjects in elementary and middle school children. I also was principal at an elementary school in Ohio. I love children to be involved in learning.
I live in Texas in the United States of America, prefer to answer to my surname. Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region, I've graduated from a Performance Arts High school with a Double Major in Music Composition & Vocal Performance, minor in Italian.
Hi Everyone. I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist. If you're a beginner, advanced beginner or intermediate piano student, I would love to work with you. I also enjoy teaching beginner and intermediate guitar students. In addition to standard piano materials (John Thompson, Bastien, Hannon) your lessons will be supplemented by working on your own compositions.
My teaching method is sight read the notes, then right hand, left hand, both hands together with count the timing
I approach teaching in a personalized manner. I treat each student with an individualized respect, ensuring that they learn in a way best suited for them.
For those interested in understanding and mastering musical materials and techniques, such as reading music, understanding harmony, piano (beginners to intermediate), guitar (beginners to intermediate) and ear training. I seek to reach the maximum of each student but with respect and patience.
I am more comfortable in one to one teaching even though I am teaching in group also. I plan lessons according to the learners capacity and previous knowledge. Classes being purely learner centric I encourage students to be free to ask questions without hesitation. I follow step by step method and expect students to practice the lessons well which have been taught already.
My teaching method is based on the basics first and then adding in all the flare. Foundation is one of the most important things in music and without it it is hard to explore everything else! I try to make my lessons fun and enjoyable.
This class is for beginners who don't know the keyboard and or music on general. I'm not a teacher in this class. I'm a learning partner who learns with you and helps you grow as a musician. Learning time will be an hour maximum.
As my main purpose for teaching piano is to encourage those who are interested in learning the covers of their favourite pop songs or classical music, I teach with patience and easy methods
My teaching methodology is to create a firm base with the knowledge of music theory then slowly teach keys. So that the students are equipped to play, read and also write their own songs.
I follow trinity college, london syllabus And ABRSM syllabus according to student's choice.
I have a founded a easiet way to teach music theory .Had my own notes nd formulas which i derieved during my music classes.

I teach in very attractive way which is enjoyed by all students of different age. Contemporary styles, composing styles and combination of songs along with Excercises makes learning fun.
I insist on learning basics of music upto a point that the basics of music become a part of students' personality which raises their understanding of music and they enjoy the music differently than a layman.
