I base my classes on the students needs, whether that is a level or degree level. This includes helping students with the contents of their essays, structure etc. This may also be helping students with exam prep such as answering questions or help understanding difficult topics. I cater my classes depending on the type of learner the student is.
I give degree level and postgraduate classes. I am a hands on teacher, who guides students through the course and course material, offering personalised one-to-one support. I prepare classes specific to student's needs and level, and can offer tutoring in a variety of formats suitable for different needs and requirements.
I like to zero in on what the student struggles on most, this could be done through asking the student what they find the hardest, what they dislike and why or by simply looking at previous test papers. I then aim to focus sessions on these weaknesses.
I like to get an understanding of my students individual learning and revision preferences and use these as a basis for creating lessons and resources. I use my background in Psychology to inform my teaching. If learning is fun and engaging, then it is better understood and remembered.
I am a Psychology graduate who has a passion for teaching and helping others reach the levels they aspire to. I am confident teaching Psychology and Maths (my second favourite subject) at AS/A-level and GCSE level.
My teaching methodology is student led. I use text books to maintain some structure but I believe in freedom of learning to tailor-make individual paths into learning. Everyone learns differently, I like to respect that.
I make sure to differentiate my lessons to suit the needs of the learner. An example of this is including stretch and challenge activities for more able learners. I like to use a range of different activities to make learning more engaging.
I can understand the difficulties pupils may face when beginning to study psychology due to the vast amount of information the topic covers and the theoretical side to it, however these are two of the things that make it such an interesting area that is developing continually; I am keen to enlighten pupils in relation to this.
My teaching method is very flexible, so that you can basically ask all kind of questions that come up with your mind. I like using different examples and interesting findings to illustrate concepts in psychology, which can definitely help students to have a better understanding and memory in the large syllabus of the public examinations.
- I provide one-to-one and group tuition lessons, where I work on a feedback-based approach; I set each student targets to meet in a given time period and provide them with feedback on how to improve. I also target specific ways of teaching to enhance memory.
My teaching methods are flexible to achieve the highest possible marks for the individual. Each student learns different, therefore is taught different. The initial contact is to establish where points need to be strengthened and the easiest way to do this for the individual in question.
I’m an experienced psychology tutor, having offered support, teaching, and mentorship to several students over the years - psychology is a big subject area, with a lot of complexities, grey areas, and arguable concepts, and that’s before you get to the statistics! I’m a big believer in breaking concepts down into small steps, using easy-to-understand language, and tailoring learning to wha
I approach each topic from it's most basic elements and gradually introduce the extra necessary detail, providing all notes in an easy-to-learn format. I can pace lessons to you and make lessons as interactive as possible with the availability to teach topics in a fluent way.
Firsts things first I start with you. What are you learning styles like? How do you prefer to do things? It is important for me to get to know you and understand which methods of learning can aid you the most.
I find the best teaching method is to start from the basics, and work our way up to increasingly challenging material (at the student’s pace of course) . To do this, we will practise many exam past paper questions and exemplar to provide the student with a greater understanding of what the exam board are looking for.

Being a student, I understand that unstructured lessons can be relaxing as a study method, therefore my methods of tutoring are not going to be completely structured. I plan on asking questions and getting the students to plan the points they will include.
I study Mental Health nursing at the University of Manchester. I tutor psychology in all levels up to A level. This will typically be for OCR students (A level). I plan the lessons according to needs of the students whether they need to read or practical ways of learning
I use a student led teaching technique whereby I focus mainly on areas where a student may be struggling, as well as furthering the students' fundamental understanding of a topic. My teaching method varies according to each individual, it’s critical that students enjoy their learning experience so it’s key that students have input in their own learning experience. Having said this curiosity is critical in order for there to be success.
My teaching method can be tailored around what works best for the student, I'm happy to be given a syllabus before hand or certain topic areas/researchers/theories that you need to know so that I can bring in resources. I am personally a very visual and creative learner, so I am an advocate for the use of coloured pens, beautiful diagrams and charts.
