I will give lessons at the level of a-level, I have experience with the WJEC examination board however, there are many similarities with other exam boards such as AQA. Lesson structure will be based on the content of the exam.
Like many tutors my primary aim is to help the student feel comfortable with the content they are learning in school, and provide a boost in their education. Lesson starters, worksheets and PPQ's are essential in my sessions. I initially start each session by asking the student if there is anything they would like to ask regarding what they have learnt in school or college.
20 year old female from Blackburn whom is currently studying an undergraduate BSc Psychology degree at Lancaster Universities. Currently a Part-time Class Assistant at Kumon Blackburn Study Center and a jewelry designer. It was not long ago I completed my A-levels in Sociology and Psychology attaining an A and a B.
My teaching method all depends on the student I am working with as all students have a learning style unique to them. The first sessions would all be about figuring out what that is and going from there. I am energetic and enthusiastic about psychology as a whole and love sharing this with anyone who also shares this passion.
My teaching method is to make my students/student feel relaxed so that they are comfortable to ask questions or inform me that they are finding a concept difficult. This way I feel that I can get the most out of my students and give them the best possible help. I also like to tailor my lessons to meet the needs of the pupil.
I have a very patient but thorough teaching style; I will break everything down and help with study skills in remembering the vast amount of information within psychology, and will provide learning in a fun and engaging way for both psychology and mathematics.
