My teaching method will be catered to your ability and how you want to learn. If you find it easier learning by repetition, writing, listening or speaking, we’ll work together to help you get to the level you want to be.
Break lessons down to its simplest form then build them back up. Understanding is key to getting the work done correctly. During phonics learning I use singing as a form of cementing the knowledge, giving them access to their sounds in an easy and fun way.
I have a very strong student-centered approach to teaching, and prefer assigning project work rather than exams, often encouraging hands-on experience and creative experimentation within the student's work. The student's needs and personal goals are always at the heart of what I do.
My teaching methodology has been based on exam requirements. In the past, have given each child a copy of a selection of the types of essay required in a non-fiction exam, and the aspects of content and SPaG their exam boards looked for.
I tailor classes to individual students, depending on their needs. I have experience working with primary school aged children, as I completed work experience at a primary school, and I have also mentored GCSE students in their classrooms and encouraged them to participate in the class work.
Initially, I will learn about you, your goals, and achievements. Most importantly, how much time are you prepared to devote to study, and what level are you currently aiming to achieve? I will, consequently, determine which areas of your studying are more challenging than others. I will maximise your strengths, and develop your weaknesses into the same.
My approach is a mixture of creativity, blended with tasks of real purpose, that are memorable for the child. I strongly believe that the child is far more likely to succeed, at learning a new skill set, when given tasks of real purpose and with a creative hook attached.
I give lessons to students from GCSE to university level, as well as offering proofreading services for those writing a dissertation or thesis. I have a friendly and patient approach to teaching and enjoying tailoring each lesson to my students’ interests and strengths.
My teaching method is covering each section of the exams and using past papers so that the student can get some practice and gets used to the format of the questions. I make sure the student is confident with the topic we're covering until moving on to the next topic.
My teaching method is very pupil focussed and tailored to the needs of the individual, how best they learn and what they would want to cover. I am flexible in my approach but will always be prepared to meet a learners needs.
I will aim to aid learning by using a mixture of memory techniques, games, visual learning as well as mini quizzes and conversation (and lots of positive reinforcement).
I feel the most efficient way to teach is by listening and understanding the individual needs of my pupils. I take care in developing and adapting my lessons to ensure my pupils are confident and comfortable in what they are learning. I am friendly and have a genuine passion for my role as a teacher.
My teaching method is best described as a flexible and friendly one. Over the five years I have been tutoring and my year in the classroom, I have developed and employed number of techniques that have helped my students achieve. Every learner is different.. what works for one person may not work for another.
In tutoring online, I provide detailed and constructive feedback, whilst also using models to emphasise techniques for writing in appropriate genre and register. I turn work around quickly to ensure support is timely as well as robust. My approach is honest, friendly and personalised.
The most important thing about any lesson is for the student to feel that they have learned something new or honed one of their existing skills. I therefore begin by asking the student to tell me something that they find difficult or wish to work on. Then I will find specific examples, based on the identified area, and we can work through problems and questions together.
I approach the topic with conversational questions for practical exercises about the topic. I like to encourage my students to think of how they can use the topic in their daily conversations, so I provide examples and rollplays related to it.
The way I would teach would be first to see how well the students read and this would be done by choosing a book with them that they'd be interested in, after assessing how well they ready I would construct activities that would help in where they struggle.
I am friendly and relaxed in my approach to teaching whilst maintaining an academic mindset. I encourage children and young people to ask lots of questions to encourage academic curiousity, and introduce them to useful academic reading and/or writing techniques by demonstration.
My teaching approach is tailored to fit around each student’s individual needs, and combines identifying areas for improvement with a range of exercises designed to adjust mistakes while boosting confidence. Teaching will be monitored by regular quizzes to make sure information has been absorbed thoroughly.
I like to base how I teach on how I wish I had been taught myself at school. No-one has ever got anywhere if they don't want to learn. I try to make it my goal to help those I help, to want to learn. Being 19 years old, I wouldn't like those I was helping to think of me as a teacher, rather someone helping them to get to where they want to be academically (As cheesy as that sounds).
I aim to teach the correct grammar in any given manner. I am available to help in other subject areas, please provide me with full detail as to what this may be. I will be able to assist and guide you and I tailor tutorials to suit individuals needs.
I am offering my support to GCSE and Alevel students. I base my tutoring around your weak points in order to pull your grade up. My lessons aim to put you at ease and feel confident ready for your examinations. I focus on key skills within each lesson so that you are equipped with the knowledge needed to become a master of English.
I give lessons to students up to college level. I help my students to achieve the best grades possible by being patient and understanding towards my students. My teaching methods will include carefully constructed lesson plans which help my students fully understand the subjects.
My teaching methodology is through fun. When you engage a child, you can teach them anything at all. Fun, personal lessons that grab the child's attention. I also love to promote a love of reading. I love to encourage children to read for pleasure as I love to read myself.
I approach each topic with as much enthusiam as possiable and always aim each lesson at the learner’s interests. I always differentiate my lesson plans and make sure each child gets the support they need to enjoy learning and strive.
The way to learn to read, is for the student to learn the look and sounds of letters and words to gradually build on their vocabulary and then they become reflective and selective in their choice of words and language.
I love my subject and wish to pass this on to my students, helping them to enjoy and achieve. My teaching methods adapt to the individual need of each student. I have taught both skills based and direct instruction approaches. I have experience of teaching special educational needs and English as an additional language too if needed.
My teaching method can be seen as laid back, once tasks have been assigned, I allow the student to lead the session so to know what the student knows, but offer insights where I see necessary as it’s important for the student to not be overloaded with information in order to process things better.
I believe that the most important thing in a classroom environment is communication. Within my tutoring sessions there will be a lot of communication which will hide the fact you are learning behind a wall which is more "fun". In other words, my main teaching methodology is making learning interesting.
My name is Alicia I've been writing since I was seven and reading is my passion I've tutored before and love helping people learn new things, having a open warm tutor is important to make learning fun I believe I can bring this to my tutoring job since I have a young friendly face
