My teaching method is completely tailored to the individual needs of my students. I assess their level of proficiency to see the level of difficulty my teaching should be. I will also ask them for their individual goals and set out a clear cut plan as to how this goal could be achieved with my help.
I offer tutoring to primary and secondary school students, even university students in their 1st or second year. I want my classes to be very open, which means there are no such things as silly questions or questioning to much. I like to combine a playful attitude with the seriousness of the subject, resulting a fun but efficient way of learning.
No teaching method is "one-size-fits-all." Therefore, I will always assess the level and objectives of every student, and compose a plan accordingly. My aim will be to encourage you to be as excited as I am about studying English. Perhaps we can achieve this by writing about your hobbies, or pointing out all of the dirty jokes in Romeo and Juliet.
My teaching methodology is not one, but several. I adjust the method in accordance to the needs of the learner. However, recently on my last studies I have used LSP (Lego Serious Play) method for engaging adults in learning. My lesson structure is not mine but ours. I try to build the lesson with my tutee based on my recommendations as an expert and I also focus on needs and interests of my tutee.
Teaching is fun! Learning is fun! Songs, active learning and memory games are all fun ways of learning.
I specialise in tutoring all four areas of the 11+ Curriculum. The content and structure of the 11+ exam varies between different areas of the country, but it will generally focus on a combination of the following four subjects: • English Comprehension & Literacy • Maths • Verbal Reasoning • Non Verbal Reasoning I run small group-sessions (max 6 children) in my own home.
I use a creative approach with teaching, trying to make it as hands on as possible. I believe that the more children are involved in their learning and the more curiosity they have, the more they gain from each lesson. I have taught from age 5 to 11.
I want to help my students gain confidence in their writing skills and their ability to interpret and analyse texts. The most important part of study is gaining a passion and appreciation for your subject; this helps you gain key skills and pass exams. I will lay a good groundwork on exam techniques as well as encouraging questions and exploration of literature.
I assess my approach based on each student, seeing how they learn best. Generally, I like to convey a good understanding of the subject, rather than treating everything case by case, so that my students can then go on and apply their techniques on multiple occasions, problems and subjects.
I approach each topic differently, as well as each students needs differently. I am extremely patient, as I have been a student myself!! I try to make the lessons as fun as possible, keeping the high academic standard, as I find my students tend to grasp the information easier.
My teaching method for English is what I believe to be best for each student as each person learns differently. I am experienced in a range of learning techniques though, whether that is using examples for inspiration or teaching new techniques of remembering information that will be beneficial.
My teaching style is tailored to suit each individual or class, as i believe everyone learns differently. I take into consideration the students background and how far they have come and where their next step is. I believe this is the best approach to progressively enable my students, to reach the ultimate learning goal.
I base my tutoring around what the student wants to achieve and then we figure out how best to reach that goal together. We can go through that students existing work together or I can set additional work if that is wanted or needed.
Hi! My name is Joe and I've only recently graduated from university with an English degree. I've always enjoyed learning new things but my real passion is getting others to engage with learning. I love the feeling that teaching someone something they love and engage with brings.
I always initially ensure to grasp a full understanding of the topic and what the topic requires of the student by researching past papers, mark schemes and examiners reports. This ensures that I know exactly what an examiner is looking for and thus how to approach the exam and how to achieve certain grades.
I teach each student individually, even when physically within a group. Understanding that each student is different, I approach each class with a renewed perspective. I teach mainly high school and university students but I am willing to teach anyone.
I approach a topic by breaking it down into small sub-sections to allow students to discover the base of their confusion around a specific topic or concept, and start lessons by asking questions about this. I am a patient tutor and listen carefully to any student's questions.
I believe every child learns in a completely different and unique way and I try to tailor my classes to the individual. After having a first consultation where I get to know and understand the student, I then plan specifically designed lessons based on your preferences and your learning methods and ability.
I like to engage the student by first asking them questions about what they are struggling with, what they are interested in and what they like about the subject. I go over sources and explain what examiners like or don't like, pick out relevance to work and also the context of sources to enhance understanding.
I like to work through the GCSE topics and questions one at a time, alternating between those a students finds to be their strengths, and those that they are weaker in, to help give some balance to the tutoring.
I would take care to pay attention to the students' needs and requirements and base my lecture on their level and understanding of the subject.
I tailor my lessons to the individual while trying to make learning relevant and applicable to the real world. My students describe me as "wacky", "fun" and "really knowledgeable". I really love my subject and am very passionate about it and I hope to share that with my students.
my teaching method adapted at each levels and at everyone's expectations : for studies, exams, living in France,... I will ask you what are your hobbies/passions and I will build my lessons about topics you are passionated about, the lesson will be more interactive and motivating.
From my tranquil garden classroom in Oxenhope, my aim is to create vibrant English tuition classes where students can feel confident to grow, take risks and, ultimately, to learn.
I am a CBSE class 12th graduate so yes I am well versed with the whole English subject scenario. I am comfortable with high school students i.e in India from class 9th to 12th. I will be focusing on one chapter at a time along with some weekly tests conducted online .
My teaching method is interactive and hands on. I encourage students to make use of the resources on the internet to practice, and to use technology where possible. I was a very academic student, and I encourage good organisation skills and as much reading as possible.
my teaching methodolgy is working with them finding out how they learn best and understanding them and there needs. i found in school everyone had different needs but as being bundled all in one class with 30 other kids its not really ideal because people are at different levels and stages.
I base my teaching on the individual learner. Every learner is different in the way that they learn and understand things. I believe the learner should be the centre of teaching because they are the most important person in the process of learning. I always try to make my lessons engaging and interactive so that learning occurs.
You the student will have an idea of how you need to improve. You will have less confidence in certain areas of English and we can improve. To do this I will teach you the theoretical reasons why words or sentence structures are the way they are. I will also advise on pronunciation and then it will be your turn to complete work sheets and answer real time questions on what we have learnt.
Each session will have clear learning objectives and outcomes for you work towards. A range of activities will be planned to enable you to progress towards your goals.
