I am used to teaching students between the age of 5 and 15 and aim to tailor my approach to the individual. I am patient and methodological in my manner and work hard to ensure the content of my lessons is clear and broken down appropriately.
Lots of my work is based around creative writing, as this is the best way to put concepts into practise. I like to find organic ways of thinking through whatever grammar issue or structural element my student is finding difficult.
I am wholly committed to student-led teaching (even when that means that I take the lead because the student is unsure of how they would like to move forward). What this means in practical terms, though, is that I work to get to know the needs of the individual student and I prioritize meeting those needs during each session.
I am currently 17 years old. I have given lessons in higher English, biology and hospitality as well as giving lessons for these subjects at national 5. I have a passion to find ways to help students find memorising for exams easier. This can include flash cards, mind maps and oral reviews.
I focus on the 9-1 Mark Scheme as, obviously, we need to be fully aware of what the examiners are looking for! Lessons need to interesting and energizing, consolidating student's strengths and working on improving any areas they are not so sure of - all the time working on increasing confidence.
My teaching method is totally child-centered. At first i explain the whole topic, i tell them to read again and ask if they have any doubt.I prefer to give total freedom to my students to express their own imagination and thinking about each topic.Teaching is a process of learning,so i tell them to explain it as if they are teachers.
My method is eclectic and fun. From project based learning to hands on, conversational methods. Each student is approached in a different way and with a lot of patience and care. The lessons are engaging and fun with a good dose of grammar and sentence structure corrections.
My teaching method includes engaging learners. I have worked with SEN and EAL pupils. I am currently completing a Masters in Education and Leadership in which I am exploring how learning can be developed and challenged. I use effective questioning and provide resources which stretch and challenge learners.
My teaching focuses more on younger students and adults at beginner level. I have often times used various exercises to introduce the subject and get a feel as to what the student can do. I will provide set literary texts if wanted or I can adapt to specific texts that the student is studying although I will have to know in advance.
To achieve top marks in English I have realised how important it is to take things one step at a time, my aim is always to focus on specific parts that you need to improve and attack it from different angles to ensure that you have learnt it in a way that you will not forget, training your brain in certain ways make it so much easier to take in a lot of information yet still be able to put it...
My teaching methods include - Brainstorming - if you are a visual student -I have creative methods of revision which have really helped me in exams - i.e pictograms, color codes etc, past papers and examiners comments, class discussions. I am a very energetic and enthusiastic person who has a real passion for knowledge.
I am a young student In secondary that would like to help infants and juniors in primary.
My teaching method is to do a brief overview and then to go into further detail. I try to use different methods for myself as well as advising others. If there is any reason as to why I cannot reach you, I will try my hardest to provide you with homemade quizzes as well as other resources.
As I have had experience in teaching students in secondary school, especially on the topic of English, I intent to give lessons to students who are in primary or secondary school currently. The techniques and methods of instruction cannot be consistently maintained throughout each lesson as each student would require something specific as to their needs and issues on a particular subject.
My name is Callum Hardwick and I am currently in my third year of studying English and Scottish Literature at the University of Glasgow. I am comfortable teaching from primary-secondary levels and I aspire to attain a TEFL + CELTA qualification subsequent to completing my degree. I am a grade-A student, and while I would not say I am particularly intelligent, I definitely know HOW to study.
I am an interactive teacher. I have always been slower to absorb content and understand concepts - so will take work as slowly or quickly as the pupil wishes. I will discuss with the pupil how they learn and what they hope to improve on.
Simple teaching with day to day practical experience . Nothing satisfies me more than meeting new people, developing new relationships, solving problems and contributing to overall growth of an individual. Weekly assessments. weekly tests.
I approach each topic with mind maps and colour in order for my students to remember important information easier. Teaching methods may vary depending on the student's ideal learning techniques. I like to bring as much fun as possible in order to not stress the student.
I will communicate with you and give you more practice on speaking and writing. I'm also friendly, so you can be comfortable with me and practice your English with me. you will be braver when you speak English with other people especially when you go to other countries.
16+ age, all levels . I have more than 6 years experience teaching in colleges, academies and training centres in the UK. I have been preparing people for work and have given careers advice. I have MA degree in education.
My Teaching Methodology is based on three stages of teaching. The first is the recommended approach which is to - 1. Engage the student, 2. Study (teach) something, 3. Do an class Activity. This approach usually works, but I mix things up sometimes to keep the lesson fresh, and the student interested.
My teaching methodology, is for the first session explore what the child enjoys and dislikes, and then to teach English through, games, drama, essay planning, book reading, and presentations.
I teach using modern methods, introduce research into the teaching, help students get interested in the subject by narrowing and making precise. Students get major leads in the required research rather than getting lost in the demanding ocean of the English Language.
I'm offering guidance to those wanting to get into writing or who are struggling with exams or wanting some more in-depth/one-to-one tutoring in school/college. I will tailor my tutoring methods to the requirements of the individual, whether this be going through terminology, analysing texts or giving career advice for people wanting to get into writing professionally.
I love to organise and lead people, and I my teaching style is relaxed but to the point. I am very interested in constructing interesting debate and encouraging wider reading and thinking with young people of all ages.
My teaching method is quiet simple, I'll go one topic after another as English is a simple subject. I also try to bring the student's interest in the discussion by giving some useful examples. In friendly behavior rather than strictness.
I also believe specialist, one on one support is key to ensure that a child is fully engaged with the learning. I also ask higher learning questions to extend and challenge a child to ensure that they are reaching their full potential.
Teaching is my passion. But even before I begin my lessons I believe in creating a bond with my students so as to welcome them into this limitless world of education and knowledge. English is a universal language and there is simply a lot to learn.
I study MA English Literature at the University of Exeter (interested in Victorian literature, Post-Modernism and Dystopia) and would be happy to provide assistance and guidance for all English and literature related topics up to an undergraduate degree.
I'm an A level student studying English Literature as one of four subjects. I understand how teaching can be effective and how important it is to involve the student and incoporate their approach into my lessons; I'm very passionate about helping improvement and about making tutor lessons enjoyable but also highly productive.
