Writing an essay, especially under exam conditions, can be quite daunting! I want to try and take away some of the stress, by approaching English coursework and exams in a straightforward, methodical way, which will definitely enable you to succeed.
I am able to give lessons to GCSE students and anyone below this level. I base my lessons on the specification used in the lessons the students are taught at school enabling them to achieve higher grades and to enjoy the subject even further.
I am currently expected to graduate from the University of Liverpool this year with a Bsc in Psychology. I have cast experience tutoring young people in English and French from primary ages through to A Level. I love teaching at all levels, and understand that no two young people work the same so strive to tailor my lessons to the individual.
Please note that I offer only online teaching. My teaching method is to as follows, firstly: - identify and review your writing ability - list out ways on how to improve your work - set a deadline for the student to apply the methods of improvements. - review and edit student's 2nd draft Repeat until the student is satisfied with their work.
My teaching methodology is a very individual approach, I believe that each student should be taught in the way that he or she requires to be taught with the material working for the student rather than the other way around. I place the emphasis on the student's skills and utilise those to get the best results in terms of how the student learns.
Firstly I assess students to see which level they are at and which areas they may require more support. I always differentiate my lessons according to the requirements of the individual.
I have worked with small groups of GCSE students before, creating resources, worksheets and providing other support they may need, tailoring each session based on each students ability, needs and requirements.
My teaching methodology is based upon tried and tested methods I have succeeded in throughout my school career! I enjoy a variety of methods (such as presentations, one-on-one coaching, quizzes and practise questions) to stimulate interest and encourage extra learning and development.
I'm finishing my bachelor's degree and starting my master's in September. I currently tutor GCSE English language and literature. I think success is all about enjoyment and confidence. If you begin to enjoy a subject and find enthusiasm for it, and gain confidence at the same time, you are bound to do well.
My teaching method is as simple/complex, as informal/formal as the needs of my students. However, my teaching is more academic and theoretical in approach, 40 minutes long per session and this is split into two 15 minute slots with a ten minute break after the first 15 minutes. My teaching is completely done online.
I primarily teach children between the ages of 8 and 11. However I have had a few Adult Literacy classes for some students who are learning English as a Foreign Language.
My classes are based on using stimulating literature and resources in order to gain the child's interest. I use contemporary teaching methods, a!ongside the more traditional techniques, such as repetition and using memory where necessary. I plan every lesson in accordance with the child's individual needs and am determined to improve their levels of confidence, leading to increased success.
I teach what's practical and necessary to get functional rather than focusing on text book theory. With my methods you will be up and running in next to no time and will find it worth your while. I can provide training at your home or online at a time convenient to you.
I will prepare lesson plans, concentrating on aspects which the pupil wishes to study further. Hand outs, research quotes and further study suggestions would be provided. Ideally, prep would for the next lesson would be given. It is best to have a brief consultation to start with, so I can prepare a course plan and time frame. I am a great believer in visual aids, plans and audio helpers.
For the initial session, the student is assessed to establish their strengths and weaknesses in the chosen subject of study. An individual programme of learning is then created, incorporating techniques and resources to cater for the learning needs and preferred learning style of the student.
As a teacher, I like to evaluate the starting point of each student and craft a series of tasks which will allow the student to reach their goals in measurable steps. I prefer to craft experiences that are relatable and topical wherever possible and measurable in quality.
As somewhat of a perfectionist, I ensure this attitude is adopted by those I teach. My teaching method is one whereby I explain tasks at hand as well as what is expected from the learner. Having done this, I then listen to and acknowledge their ideas before nurturing them to be the best they possibly can.
Teaching is my passion and I thrive on helping people reach their learning goals. I am a very visual learner so I teach this way also. I’m very patient and adaptable to all types of learners so however or wheatever you’d like to learn let me know.
I am looking to give lessons to anyone from High School to an A-level standard. I always initially base my lessos around what the student personally perceives their weakest point to be, as the students self-confidence and personal views are of the utmost importance to me.
I am a masters graduate that has enjoyed dissertation and extensive research methods during my time at university. I prefer to tutor for dissertations by recommending literature and helping with structure. I usually provide a checklist so the large task in hand seems doable.
My teaching methodology is that a good teacher is one that shows you were to look, but doesn't tell you what you see. I would work mainly with the flipped classroom method, encouraging my pupils to take responsibility for a subject they are struggling in and grow a love for it outside of my teaching. Curiosity is a main driver of learning.
With primary school students a focus is placed on understanding key concepts within literacy, such as nouns, rhyme, verbs and adjectives. With GCSE students I have previously focused on improving the tutee's skill to close read an extract and pick out stylistic qualities that create a text's meaning.
My core teaching method is positive reinforcement, I believe that people of all abilities can be given the techniques and knowledge they need to feel inspired, through patience, structure, and tailored pathways, such as auditory, kinesthetic, visual or practice revision.
I am a semi retired teacher who has experience teaching all ages and nationalities. I tend to use the communicative teaching methodology and like to build good relationships with my students. My lessons are often student led.
I am a student at the University of St Andrews currently pursuing a life-long love of arts subjects through a Film & International Relations degree. From previous experience, I would feel more than comfortable to tutor students studying between Primary and GCSE years. I am friendly, enthusiastic, and willing to travel to you and / or help out of hours over social media.

I am a second year university student looking to teach high school children. In my lessons I aim to teach each student the required material but also to give them the skills to think for themselves and form their own ideas and interpretations of a text, a skill that will become increasingly important as they progress throughout the school system.
