The aim of this workshop is to explore the confines of the mind through literary practice, play with language and experiences and try to reach the state of "lyrical disinhibition" where the barriers of mind, body and feelings are undone . The workshop 'Writing Dynamics' seeks to experiment with interdisciplinary techniques to stimulate writing.
I teach online one to one via Skype by sharing my desktop screen. I teach individual students also at my centre .
My teaching methodology, would involve one on one teaching method of writing, literature, and focusing on students writing skills as well. My main focus would be focusing on the way students retain the knowledge of being successful in English lessons based on my teachings.
I have an M.Ed. from Loyola University in Chicago and have twenty years of lessons in writing, whether in terms of nuts-and-bolts grammar and structure, or in terms of creative flow.
I spend the first session getting to know my students in order to grasp what they're struggling in, what they hope to achieve academically, and what resources they need to do it. I then gather worksheets and cultivate a lesson plan that is individually crafted for them. Whether it be test prep, reading help, or writing tips, I have resources on hand from my grassroots tutoring program.
My teaching way is different from others, as i teach in very much simple as well as unique quite understandable method. People usually don't ever forget what i teach for whole of their life. I can teach in groups as well as individually.
My teaching method for SAT prep is a lot of targeted practice with real exam questions. There is a pattern and once students can discern the patterns, they are a lot more successful. I also believe in using test-taking strategies in order to eliminate and critically think of alternate ways to solve problems.
My teaching methods include: - Analysing and understanding Job postings and descriptions - Expanding vocabulary for resume and cover letters - Creating appropriate and personalized resumes and cover letters My aim is to equip students with the necessary skills to gain confidence and independence.
My teaching method is instructional conversation. Rather than just telling children information they need to know, i prefer to allow them to question and discuss their thought processes, allowing them to organically learn. I want to provide an engaging learning environment for children which makes them interested in learning.
My method is to assess where you are and learn about your goals, and then devise a fun and effective program to help you reach those goals as quickly as possible. I use a combination of resources, mixing verbal/ auditory inputs with visual instruction in order to maximize comprehension and retention by making duel neural pathways in the brain.
I prefer to treat the subjects from a practical and easy to understand approach and above all to do many exercises and teach reasoning why to do something in a certain way, not just memorize.
I love to teach based on examples that are related to our contemporaneity and so we can learn about William Shakespeare through The Lion King or concepts of classical Greek literature, such as Deus ex machina, with Toy Story to make the reception of knowledge much more enjoyable, in addition to sharing my professional experience that has a solid literary base.
My name is Suzanne Smalling. I am 31 years old and I have been teaching elementary school for a total of 10 years. I earned my masters degree in 2008 from Albany State University in Early Childhood Education. Two years later I achieved the highly esteemed "Teacher of The Year" award. I have extensive experience working with students from a variety of backgrounds.
My teaching methodology is child-centered, and I use reward programs for milestones in behavior and academics. The first few sessions will consist of both formal and informal assessments, so that I can know a particular student's strengths and weaknesses. I also strive to get to know my students and to make sure they feel at ease with who I am and what is being taught.
From middle-schoolers to college undergrads, if there is one thing that I have learned that works at all levels is the art of simplicity. Listening to student concerns takes an open ear, closed mouth, and patience. If a teacher does not have those qualities, he's in the wrong business.
I teach children from class five to class twelve. I assess the student's strengths and weaknesses. Creative writing is an integral part of my lessons which gives students the confidence to tackle any new subject with confidence.
I approach each student with an asset based lens. I build from the foundation of knowledge that individual holds, and then utilize a restorative, strengths based approach to uplifting the inherent skills already present. I am patient and encouraging, and I understand there are no bad students, only missed chances at application.
I rely on applying a method of fruitful study for the student since I was recently there and they will help him a lot to be able to overcome the subjects that he attends my class in an easy way and also learning a lot for an academic future.
Hello !! ABOUT ME - As a part time home tutor, I have got an experience of 3 years teaching students upto Class 9, where I have proven myself as a good teacher and teaching has become my passion. As a presenter at office, I have proven my presentation skills in the training sessions to my team. My way of handling the classes or the team would be a user friendly and an organized method.
I believe that an equitable classroom climate is an environment in which everyone has what they need to achieve a similar goal. I understand that we all learn at different paces and in different manners. The key to success in the classroom, is figuring out how an individual learns and providing them with the best fuel for their personalized learning experience within your classroom.
Hello fellow students! I feel we are all always learning, including teachers. My name is Randee and I love to teach. I currently work with Title 1 students tutoring in Reading and Math (ages Kindergarten-5th grade). I graduated from Eckerd College. I would say my philosophy on teaching is that every student learns differently.
English requires pronunciation and strong grammer.. that will be the focus.
I would explain the lessons in detail via skype or any other medium. You may ask doubts and clear all your queries. I believe in perfection and commitment so you may expect the same from me. I cater to school students.
One on One teaching is the key to success! I feel a student is entirely a teacher's responsibility. I need to improve myself on and on to be best suitable for my student.
My teaching methodology is based on tailoring lessons to each individual learner's need. Each student learns differently and needs a slightly different approach. I am experienced at modifying curriculum to suite a learner's need, interest, and learning style.
I as an educator know that student engagement is the key to learning retention and having a great overall classroom experience. With changing times, education requires adaption and evolution. I use storytelling as a powerful method to impact knowledge, values and life skills and I believe students learn better when engaged so I use technology to boost learning.
I earned my BA in English Literature from Providence College in 1968. I hold a MEd from Boston University, a Master of Divinity from the Episcopal Divinity School and a Master of Theology from Boston College. In my tutoring, I try to build on a student's current strengths as a first step to improving their academic performance.
I prefer to teach one-on-one. Having planned and conducted tutorials for groups of 20-25, I find that doing face-to-face work lets me understand my students' needs in a much more efficient manner. I also prefer to work via Skype/online, mostly due to travel constraints, though I'd be willing to negotiate this based on transport/distance. My classes are quite structured, but not rigid.
My teaching method is to make it as fun and entertaining as possible. I use metaphors, games, mnemonic devices, and the student's personal interests to help make meaningful learning connections that will last.
I always adapt my teaching method to the student and context. I believe in meeting individual students at the level they've already achieved and affirming, naming and congratulating them on their current skills sets. I present myself as a compassionate co-learner who just so happens to have the knowledge the student needs.
