I take private and group tuition with small batch , focusing on written and oral grammar skill. I take classes for student from standards 5th to 10th. Emphasis is on good command over English language and overall development of child.
My teaching methodology is based around catering to each individual child's needs. Learning is not something that is one size fits all- to get the best results, each lesson must be catered to not only get across the general message of what is being taught, but to reinforce the substance through a more personalized take.
I follow the Montessori pedagogy in fostering independence which can be used for both children and adults. I have a calm approach to teaching that includes giving students time to think and explore their options through the lessons. I am extremely organised and find it easy to create lesson plans and long term educational goals to reach throughout classes.
I briefly outline my lessons and course outcomes. I lecture on specific topics encouraging the students to learn by research. In addition to set lessons, I bring in other relevant texts to provide the student with the full context of what he/she is reading.
My aim along with tutoring a student is to teach him / her the effective study skills as to boost the his / her confidence and self-esteem. I am a life-long learner, and I do my best to assist my students to become the ones, too!!! I personalized my teaching strategies to every individual student's need, level of comprehension and experience.
I design sessions for Gr 3-Adults based on student need determined through an initial assessment. Sessions are scaffolded with lots of discussion and practice to solidify learning. My classes range between 45 mins to 90 mins depending on student's age.
I am currently a PhD student in English and have served as an adjunct English and composition instructor for the last 8 years. I prioritize my students' needs, teaching them strategies for academic writing and reading comp with activities/vocabulary assignments, or their homework.
My method depends on the student I am tutoring but I normally start by having a conversation about the topic and making a big mind map. Although simple this can be extremely helpful in exam time. For each idea together we construct paragraphs so that the student feels confident, having both and in depth and broad knowledge of the topic.
I firmly believe in individualized teaching/learning. What works for one does not work for all! I carefully customize my tutoring to fit the student's personal needs.
I provide writing feedback and instruction to high school and college students alike. Most students request assistance with development, organization, formatting, style, and grammar. However, I also teach higher level students to incorporate advanced writing techniques into their academic papers.
I have a student-centered approach and use the "I do, we do, you do" model of instruction. Any new area of learning starts with a form of pre-assessment to see what the student already knows, and then work from there.
I am most experienced with middle school, high school, and college-age students in the subject areas of writing, reading, history, and college application preparation. I do my best to not simply edit work, but to ensure that students learn skills that they can them apply to future projects and assignments.

My approach to teaching foreign languages is for my student and me to read a story in the target language, to learn the grammar deductively, and to discuss the text in the language we're studying. This works for any level.
I have been in school for over 16 years. I have a Bachelors in Health and Human Phyisology. I have over 5 years of Spanish under my belt. I have read countless books and articles and I am full of Star Trek Trivia.
I have an AA in liberal Arts and a BA in English Literature with a minor in Art. I also completed two years of study in Electrical Engineering. I love the written word and enjoy sharing that love with others.
Education: Saint Joseph’s University- Philadelphia, PA 3.8 GPA, Master of Science in Special Education, M.S. Ed. West Chester University- West Chester, PA 3.
I am a teacher with almost 20 years of experience from grades 1 all the way to tutoring college students. I have worked as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, literature teacher, private tutor and more. I enjoy working one on one with students and finding their strengths and weaknesses and using them to help create a plan of intervention.
I teach English using English only and no other language. It is believed that this method has shown better results than other methods. I prepare lesson plans for vocabulary and structures which are helpful for delivering classes and easier for students to understand.
My teaching method is easy I help you to understand where you have to stop or read and what punctuation need what reaction and so many things
My biggest strengths as a teacher are patience and compassion. When I was in junior high and high school, I needed a tutor. I was embarrassed and ashamed. I use a personalized learning style that is student-centered to focus on the student.
I base my sessions on what the child needs wether it is help with their homework or help with areas they may be struggling with. I will plan a session to meet the needs and wants of the child and the parent.
I love teaching, and appreciate how a relationship can be built and the lesson can be customized when you are tutoring one-on-one or with a small group. I have seen that this attention gives the student an opportunity to express confusion about or mastery of the topic and be seen as a developing individual. I value the human side of education and do not just see it as an industry.
I focus on diction improvement amd reading speed.
My teaching is based on innovative and unique styles of learning. In believe to run with the time, the way the learning needs to be imparted among students. My classes will be for the students of standard 1 to 12.
I have experience with both University and School institutions. I love teaching and seeing my students achieve! I like to try and relate to my students, everyone is different and has their own strengths and weaknesses.
ACT prep can be a difficult thing. First, we must establish a base score. Then, we can work together on each section to determine what factors can be practiced to perfection! Skills we may work on include: time management during the test, functional grammar, reading interpretation, math problem solving, and scientific essay interpretation.
My teaching methodology is deductive: learning paths can be taught so that in the long learn the student becomes an independent learner.I believe that in a language class student participation is utmost important and that learning should be interesting and fun. If the student loses interest, he/she stops learning.
I like to personalise my teaching method to each student, as a cemented pedagogy will not work the same on everyone. Studying the ins and outs of teaching has given me the ability to do this. I like to be able to discuss the lessons with my students and work together to ensure that I am helping them to my best ability.
Writing is not something you are either born "good" or "bad" at. It is a skill. It is a set of tools. If you have a hammer, it might be easy to hang a picture, but just a hammer won't cut a board in half. Writing is the same way, you may have the tools to write a great narrative, but just narration won't create a killer essay.
