My teaching method is one to one sessions, using homework materials provided by the student, to help with homework and understanding of academic material through supervised reading, learning and practicing literacy skills, expanding vocabulary, perfecting punctuation and structured learning alongside homework topics.
I do not have a set teaching methodology as I'm not a believer in one-size fits all. It is dependant upon the individual and the environment they learn best, I will work around this to benefit their education.
Each class is tailored the the students needs (e.g.
My teaching method is finding out what the best way for you individually is to learn and develop a plan for that.
I'd like to approach teaching by focusing on things the pupil is struggling with; there's no point wasting time on anything they have confidence in. I'd like to see what level they work at and then go from there; I can help with understanding any queries and working to build up the skills they already have to improve them.
Each lesson is tailored and suited for the student that I am teaching, allowing them to excel and achieve the best they can. Visual learning, thinking and reading play a big part in English and so play a big part in my teaching.
My teaching method is based on a pupil centred approach. I want the pupil to come to a point where they are able to fully understand using a means they are familiar with. In the past I have created “Miss Jolly essay tips” sheets etc. and created visual prompts because I know all learners respond differently.
I approach each lesson as my students need; if they feel that they need to cover something more in-depth than we first thought, I adapt my teaching to fit around this. It is about making sure my students gain an understanding of what is needed.
I will tailor lessons according to the needs of the student and work together alongside them to improve their skills. I feel that using discussion (topics of interest, current affairs) as well as methods such as role-play exercises is important in language lessons as it allows students to speak freely and improve their everyday conversational skills.
I am prepared to work with you to help out in your high school English classes, and if there's someone out there doing Bulgarian, I can work with that too. In terms of methodology, I would be ready to assist you in any way you deem helpful, be it read through your work and give feedback, discuss texts or help out with oral exam preparation.
My teaching methods always focus on an individuals needs first and foremost. Every person has their strength and weaknesses and I am to turn a weakness into a strength. Whether it be oral English, idioms or essay writing.
My teaching methods include deep discussions on a given subject matter, addressing context, existing analysis and literary terminology. I provide sample essay questions and guidance on essay writing as well as elaborate feedback. I have found the best way to critically read is to make yourself familiar with all aspects of the literary work and I am happy to help you do that in any way I can.
During our first session, I will learn about my tutee, including their likes and dislikes, whether they enjoy academia, and what, specifically, we need to focus on during future sessions.
I like to teach one on one lessons or small groups in order to offer more individual attention. I also like to establish what my student wishes to improve on and then build from there on wards. I am also quite flexible with the preferred learning methods of my students.
My teaching method is discussion based. I will help you reach conclusions about your work by leading you through scrutiny and analysis of the texts you are studying. We will debate key points of novels and critical essays to inspire new ideas for essays or exams that you are required to take.
I am a skilled and experienced qualified teacher, with more than thirty years experience. I enjoy the opportunity to work with individual children or adults, tailoring a learning programme to meet each student's very specific needs. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Literacy, English (KS2 and KS3), and GCSE English Language and Literature.
Having studied French and Spanish myself at university for my degree, I have a lot of knowledge and experience about the process of learning a new language and improving your linguistic skills. I really enjoy this process because it gives you the opportunity to feel like a child again when you are learning new words, making mistakes and simply having fun, it's all part of the process.
I am happy to teach ages 4- 16, I always take into consideration any areas that a student may be struggling with, and offer any support and guidance that I can. I try to make my lessons fun, engaging and approachable for the students.
My lessons are well suited to students who are studying at GCSE, a -level and degree level. My teaching method consists of making history fun for my students. My lessons are engaging as I transport my students back into time for them to understand certain historical events while analysing how they have impacted the world today.
I tutor primary, KS3, GCSE, A Level, degree, adults with English as an additional/second language (and IELTS) I believe in building confidence by providing a relaxed and fun environment where the student is able to enjoy learning and employ different teaching methods such as books, games, tests and ICT to retain focus.
I base my teaching on understanding. My only interest is that the student understands my tutoring. I carry each lesson with the highest level of professionalism. Unless instructed otherwise, I cover lesson after lesson, in a manner that connects one lesson with the next. I am calm, understanding, open to criticism and opinions and ready to take on any challenge.
I teach subjects according to the student's objective. First I establish what is the goal, then I work out (with the student) what steps need to be taken to achieve that goal - e.g. pass an Exam. I then formulate a study agenda and follow it systematically until the student has mastered all that s/he needs to so as to achieve their objective.
My teaching methods are starting with identifying the problem areas and learning style to tailor the curriculum to the pupil
I am a university student from Nottingham and have tutored a wide range of students before. I try to change my teaching style to fit the student, as each person learns in a different way.
I base tutoring on the student's particular needs, focusing primarily on the texts the student is currently studying in school. I believe that discussion is important in developing an understanding of a subject, for example poetry, and encourage students to give their interpretation of the subject at the beginning of the session.
My teaching method is based on compassion and patience. I tailor every lesson to the student and try and find the best way to teach my student. I like to make lessons more fun and quite like making songs out of the material.
My teaching approach considers the needs of the student and family, the character and learning styles of the student and the pace at which they may comfortably work and achieve. I set interesting tasks and provide stimulating, varied, well researched course materials and can provide homework and feedback after lessons.
I am specialised in teaching primary age children. My lesson plans and resources are curriculum based and unique to the student's needs. I aim to progress and scaffold the pupil's learning. I have experienced in teaching and supporting SEN pupils.
My teaching methodology is fun but educational so that students do no feel bored or forced to learn but enthusiastic towards attending an English class! I can teach not only the 5 areas listed below but anything else about English required!
Understanding is absolutely key to learning. If you understand, rather than just memorise, then you will be able to apply the thought process to alternate situations. I like to make my lessons current, topical, and interesting to my students.
