My teaching methodology is fun but educational so that students do no feel bored or forced to learn but enthusiastic towards attending an English class! I can teach not only the 5 areas listed below but anything else about English required!
Understanding is absolutely key to learning. If you understand, rather than just memorise, then you will be able to apply the thought process to alternate situations. I like to make my lessons current, topical, and interesting to my students.
Hello, my name is Lowri and I am a personable tutor comfortable with catering to diverse learning styles. My lessons will be tailored to the needs of the individual student, using innovative techniques to make the material accessible and enjoyable for the student so they'll be comfortable interacting with the material.
I ensure that all of my lessons are fun, engaging and stimulating for the individual. It is extremely important to tailor the lesson to support the needs of the individual and ensure they are confident in their new learning.
I create an individual programme for every child I teach, making sure that the sessions target the individual needs of the child. I include multi-sensory learning opportunities and simple games to help make learning enjoyable. For dyslexic pupils and those with dyslexic type difficulties, I use a structured, sequential, multi-sensory programme proven to help with literacy problems.
I am a patient, friendly and confident tutor with teaching and tutoring experience across primary and secondary schools, colleges, community centres and universities. I chose to become a tutor as I have a genuine passion for education and enjoy supporting students throughout their studies.
I base my teaching upon the individual. I understand there are some ways that work and some that do not. I will get to know the student and their learning in order to get the best out of them.
My philosophy is that learning is easier when it is fun for the pupil, my lessons are generally game based with assessments given regularly to check progress. As a classroom teacher, my lessons are similar to those in primary schools but on a one to one basis.
I have experience working with children of all abilities. I have acquired various teaching strategies over the years which has increased my ability to help children raise their self esteem and confidence levels in order to progress. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach all the subjects I have indicated above.
I believe (and my experience supports this) that anyone can 'do' English, no matter what they have experienced at school, or been told by teachers. For children at GCSE age and younger understanding and enjoying English is a matter of confidence and accessing the curriculum in a way which suits their needs and interests. Teaching well is all about positive communication.
I base my classes depending on what the student needs. I have found it important to both improve strengths and topics that the student finds more challenging, with sufficient time being dedicated to each one.
When teaching, I take into account the learner's ability and interests and ensure that the learning is tailored to their needs - while making it as interesting and fun as possible. I have many long-standing pupils at various levels.
My teaching methods involved allowing my students to learn in styles which benefit them the most, whether that be going through material step by step or allowing them to come to me with the just the aspects they are struggling with.
I am a keen tutor looking to help children and young adults learn how to approach subjects they find difficult. As well as covering material thoroughly, I teach students to look for patterns and methodologies which allow them to continue their learning away from the classroom.
My teaching method is adaptable to each persons. I like to ask a student what their preferred learning strategy is and change accordingly. I like to give examples and exemplars as I find it useful to compare other peoples work. Peer marking or marking together is also helpful so the student can learn how to improve.
My teaching method involves clear criteria and goals for the lesson which can be monitored through discussion and questions. I can draw the student's attention to different critical and contextual details in order to broaden their analytical approach to literature.
My teaching method is to approach the subject at the students pace. I understand that typical forms of teaching don't work on all types of students, and I can therefore adapt traditional lessons to suit the learning style of the individual.
I foster a productive environment that is very focused on the goal at hand. I am considerate of learners' needs and have tutored students with a range of learning and behavioural difficulties to fruitful outcomes. I like to create resources around learners' interests and I am sensitive to learners' needs.
My lessons would be catered to the individual student, focussing on what they have issues with as well as what they excel at. The focus would be on the tasks assigned by school, but we can work on other activities if the student the support.
I tailor my teaching to suit the needs of individual pupils. I begin by identifying any gaps in learning and then use a range of fun, engaging and effective teaching techniques to target these gaps. Pupils will be able to succeed academically and will have increased confidence, self-belief and a positive mind-set.
My preferred teaching method is a mix of discussion and note taking, and essay structuring and planning as I find this is the most effective way of practising for essay-based subjects such as English and A Level. I also believe in breaking up sessions into periods of 20 minutes in order to keep the tutee stimulated and attentive.
My teaching is learner focused. You know what you need, I can help you get there by understanding how you like to learn and adapting my materials and approach to enable you to be successful. You’ll find me to be friendly and approachable, while always remaining professional.
I will be offering lessons in English to high school age students (11-16) to improve written language, grammer and puctuation. I can offer individual or group classes. Individual classes will allow focus on a particular area which the individual can choose, such as essay writing, reading comprehension, grammer etc.
My personal approach to tutoring is to help calmly and thoroughly help students understand the question and the solution to make a strong foundation for future knowledge. I aim to assist students and give hints and support to inspire understanding of the answer until they are capable of completing the questions independently.
I give lessons to anyone looking to improve their English - from school pupils to foreign speakers. My techniques and methods depend on the lesson but I like to keep lessons very organised with particular goals and aims. Reading may be required before lessons for pupils.
I tutor English, English Literature and Creative writing to all ages of students (even adult learners). I will initially assess the objectives and expected results of the lessons from the students/families before collaboratively outlining a ‘lesson plan’. I am flexible to each student’s needs/levels and will work at their own pace.
I work with you to produce an excellent piece of writing. I show you where you are going wrong and help you to put it right. I include help with referencing in my methodology. Book now to avoid disappointment. A one stop, complete answer service.
I believe that every student has the potential to thrive in school. In order for this to happen, the methods and techniques that are used need to be altered for each student. Therefore, I would adapt my teaching styles to accommodate the learner.
I am a firm believer that reading is the key to grasping the requirements of basic literary skills. I would go through passages of different literary styles (novels, short stories, poetry etc.) and explain why writers choose to employ certain styles as well as looking specifically at the punctuation and grammar of the text.
Lessons are based around a student's personal weaknesses. Following an initial assessment, detailed support will be provided in less secure areas. This can be from content issues to exam technique. Students find this to be a lot better than classroom experiences which is often generalised.
