My teaching method is to provide clear information on lesson objectives to start with. I will then split my time into roughly three portions, spending the first portion explaining the day's subject in detail and remaining interactive with the students by asking them questions etc.
My teaching methodology, is learner centred learning finding a style and way that suits them. So if it means having a walk by a canal or up a hill to find out about the natural world for History or Geography or Science to being in a classroom researching information on the internet or from books.
Offering sessions to GCSE pupils Will proofread creative writing pieces and work with the student to improve them Past papers, essay marking and confidence building exercises I will encourage students to do their best and believe in their own potential. Hopefully, I can teach students to love the subject.
I believe in using current, real life situations to help place a question into a context which is interesting, engaging and easier to understand. I use practical situations to teach the basics in problem solving and basic English skills. I am a passionate teacher keen to work with individuals who wish to improve their literacy.
My areas of expertise are poetry and prose analysis, particularly of romanticism and war literature, possibly helpful for GCSE or A Level students. Creative writing wise, I have won poetry competitions and offer inspiration and guidance to new and experienced writers.
I am an experienced Secondary English teacher, with over 6 years experience working in excellent schools in Redbridge, and a consistent 95% pass rate at GCSE. I am really committed to helping students achieve their best, through creativity, personalisation and praise. I believe there is no fixed way to support students and really enjoy working with them to achieve their potential.
My teaching method is flexible and depends entirely on the feedback from the pupil. English is renown for being a subject with 'no right answer', so I would not be there to just give the pupil the answer, but help them to reach it themselves. My role would be to explain the demands of the work clearly and help foster an individual response, aiding pupils to write effectively and eloquently.
My teaching method varies to the needs of the individual, or class, including differentiated lessons, students' input, use of ICT and snippets of videos or films to support learning etc. My teaching fully follows the curriculum and examination boards' specifications.
I teach English language to non english speakers or those who want to perfect their fluency in English language in order to build your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. My methods of instruction are Lecture and discussion based as well as brainstorming and pop quiz.
My teaching method is tailored to your strengths and weaknesses, following basic guidelines of your requirement and timeline each session will involve segments of clearing doubts, reviwing previous material and focusing on current task. I try to provide relevant anecdotes that make it easy to relate and understand instead of just textbook learning.
I am flexible in my approach to tutoring and proofreading, and will happily tailor according to your needs and goals as an individual. Just message me and we can discuss the what will help you gain the most from tutoring/proofreading.
I approach each topic by asking my student what they feel they are struggling on and what they might feel is best to overcome this. By knowing how my student feels about that topic area, it gives me the ability to use the right resources and techniques to ensure my student is feeling confident about that topic after attempting ways to achieve that area.
I would try to take a student-led approach whereby they inform me what they believe are their strengths and their weaknesses and from this I can determine where focus should be. My lessons would be targeted at younger students who are struggling with the basics of english, whether that be reading and writing, or higher skills along the lines of thinking creatively, analysis and evaluation.
Carefully prepared lessons plans based on student level. Using practical exercise, games, listening exercises, video sessions, dialogue, every day situations. Used approved text and student support reference such as English File. Have excellent accent and calm voice reassuring voice.
I am happy to teach all levels and ages, from school pupils to mature students wanting to expand their knowledge and culture.
I like to balance speaking, listening, writing and listening skills as I believe they're all important to helping you become a well-rounded English Language speaker. I love grammar and think it's really important but I also love conversational English and like to help my students achieve a natural sounding proficiency of language.
I have several years of experiences with students between the ages of 7 and 18 who have faced challenges within the school system or are no longer in formal education for a variety of reasons, including behaviour issues, special educational needs, health problems, anxiety etc.
I am very adaptable in my teaching method, i find what best works for the student, rather than sticking to a set why. i have found that every student learns differently, whether they are Primary school level, secondary school or even college.
My goal as a teacher is to help you with your unique struggles as a student. I approach each student as an individual and tailor classes to help you reach your maximum potential. I am patient, and will try a different approach if you do not understand me the first time. Bring me what you are concerned about in your studies and I will help you.
My teaching method is built upon having a calm atmosphere to maximise engagement. By actively listening to students, I can identify where they are struggling and help accordingly. Students tend to know themselves where they need help! I believe that practice makes perfect and nothing can replace getting stuck into the work.
For me, language was born in communication and is used to cater for that purpose, so the most effective way to learn language is from real communication. Tasks with real purposes such as writing emails, listening to radios or watching movies in the target language should be included to help learners learn language better.
I offer a friendly, structured approach. I will tailor each lesson to each individual student to ensure their learning styles are effectively met. I will prepare resources before each lesson so the student is fully aware of what materials will be covered in each lesson.
Through many years of courses I have attained a variety of well rounded skills and experience that can be easily applied.
I base my classes around what the student needs. I like them to let me know exactly what they need help with so that I can prepare and then have a session ready to help them with. I'm a very friendly and patient person - I know that work can be difficult so I am more than happy to take things slowly and go over things as many times as needed.
Basically, during my classes, I try to get to know my students in order to tailor my teaching methods according to their learning style. I mainly teach level B2( First Certificate in English), but I do have the knowledge of the Cambridge Advanced English.
Good writing creates a great academic student. You must be able to communicate your ideas with refinement, intelligibility and authority. Begin the essay or dissertation, with a clear outline of the main points to cover in the entire document. This then determines the structure of the essay and informs the reader of how to relate to the topic.
I would first assess the level of ability that my student can read at. I would do this by getting the student to read to me or by having my student sound out words. This allows me to analyse the best teaching methods to use to allow them to reach their full potential. I would then allow my student to improve by increasing the difficulty they are reading overtime.
As an educator, I strongly believe in every student’s ability to succeed and I am very passionate about inspiring others to learn.
I ensure that my lessons are catered for each individual learner and their specific needs. I feel that this is essential in order to boost the holistic development of each individual learner. I am approachable and willing to consistently learn personally.
I approach every student by finding out what level they are currently at and from there I find out what they are capable of learning within a session. I work with Primary school students and secondary students to GCSE level.
