I am comfortable working with primary and secondary aged children in all subjects but in particular in English Language and/or Literature. I tailor my lessons specific to each student I work with catering to their learning style and personality. It's important to me to make each lesson as progressive as possible.
I do not have one teaching method. Instead, I choose to adapt my teaching around my student and what they want to learn. For example, if you needed to learn how to closely analyse a text, I would draw upon experience and set out a structured lesson on how to do so. Making sure you perform tasks which I can give feedback on.
My teaching method is simple - show someone how to do something, explaining learning, expect participation in return so you can learn quicker. This is the best way to remember techniques, and will aid understanding, memory and efficient learning. Work only from home.
I am a very patient person, and so I am happy to work through the material at the pace that best suits the student. I will make sure the student understands the subject matter before moving on, and will come across in a friendly and approachable way.
I am friendly and approachable, having been tutored before myself I know how frustrating it is not being able to achieve the results you desire. I like to think I can both boost your grades and help give you a confidence boost.
My teaching method varies with each individual. Each student will have their own preferences about how they would like to be taught and I will adjust my teaching to help meet individual needs. I like to use a range of methods whilst teaching to help students with their learning.
I have extensive experiences working with SEN students, this means I am able to provide engaging, challenging and comprehensive lessons for students with autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD or other behavioural difficulties. I currently teach high school students, GCSE english language and english literature.
I am a results orientated person who can teach from A-level to degree level tailored to the indidual or group needs.I structure lessons on an agreed plan working towards achieving the objective that the student requires. After an initial analysis of the student's abilities I agree a study action plan with the student.
I give students few sub-topics to familiarize themselves with inform of questions, short stories etc, then during the next meeting, teach the topics, answer questions, give exercises and mark immediately. This helps students to understand and not to memorize.
As this is English based, if I was tutoring someone on reading, I would start by asking the student their first impressions on the book and what they think it could be about. When facing literacy problems, I would expect students to approach it in a calm manner and hope they would attempt it first by themselves and then I would help them.
my teaching methods include getting to know each student's strengths and weaknesses in the applied subject and then improving from there. firstly through knowledge of the topic, the analysis and criticising the topic and then lastly, applying knowledge. learning the background and foundation base of the theme and objective, diagrams and then analysing it with detail.
I can adapt to the needs of the student, teaching with visual aids or written explanations. I can help with spelling, expanding vocabulary and honing essay writing skills including how to be more concise and good phrasing choices. When approaching texts in particular, I enjoy utilising discussion to help students form their own viewpoints, visions and analysis.
I am a student looking to teach anyone looking for English help at A-level or below. This can include students looking for advice on the English part of the 11+. I am friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working and am willing to work with individual students based on their preferences.
I approach teaching by having a clear understanding of my students learning style. From there I am able to develop my lessons to suit either visual, auditory or kinetic learning styles to ensure each lessons is both effective and enjoyable.
my teaching method is notes, mindmaps and just getting to know your style of how you learnt the best. i have GCSEs in every subject due to me passing them all, meaning i can give you the right way of revising to pass.
As a psychology student I have the understanding that every student is different and we all learn differently. Therefore my approach will depend on the type of student I tutor. I will first assess their level, then spot the areas that need working on. Also, I make sure I take into consideration the learning style of the student.
I'm a new tutor based in Islington who has had the fortunate of being offered places at both the University of Oxford and Cambridge. I'm a friendly and approachable tutor who has been educated up to A-Level, with no less than an A grade and have tutored students before with different charities.
I am a primary school trained teacher with experience teaching in New Zealand and United Kingdom. I like to provide A positive learning space for all my students to ensure they feel comfortable to ask questions, give things a go and help them reach their full potential.
My teaching methodology when it comes to giving lessons in English is interaction, academic videos, role play, creative writing and reading. All these methods will be linked to the topic being studied with the student. There will be a time table given to the student on a weekly basis.
I understand how demanding the new curriculum is for GCSE English and thus, want to offer my expertise in this area. I am also taking English Language & Literature for A Levels, as well as Maths & Psychology, so I consider myself an able tutor for the core GCSE subjects.
My method of teaching begins with the basics and showing examples to clarify understanding of the subject; e.g. word search/spellings and researching the meaning of the word and then writing the word into the context of a short sentence.
I am patient with people, but firm. I try to find everyone’s full potential, and try to encourage them to do so. I have a passion for learning, and hope that this will rub off on my students. I have always achieved over my target, and try to challenge myself.
I have tutored mostly a-level and GCSE students. In preparation for my lessons, I expect my students to have an idea of what they want covering. A good proportion of my time is first dedicated to getting to know student's strengths and weaknesses. From there we try and build a framework of what we want to achieve over the time we have together - setting realistic goals and deadlines.
I give classes to children in school. I like to approach my lessons by finding out what they do not understand. Explaining then quickly testing their knowledge till they are confident. Lessons will last 1 hour each and can be extended for one more hour if needed. Can have up to three lessons a week.
My teaching method is based around that of my student. I will understand both they're strengths and weaknesses and work through weaknesses in order for them to gain a fuller understanding. Depending on what the student needs, I will provide a full lesson package that is aimed directly to the lesson requirement.

I begin any teaching process by making a student feel comfortable and identifying their weaknesses and strengths, from there we can achieve their goals and (more importantly) attain the required grades. I understand that not every individual has a natural affinity for English as a subject, but I believe that every student is capable of achieving an impressive grade in English.
