Everyone has a different way of learning, it's about finding that method and using it to reach that individual eureka moment. 1:1 tuition is the way forward, going through the topics step by step with numerous tips and tricks to help progress.
I love planning fun lessons. I believe effective teaching consists of adult support as well as independence and resourcefulness. As well as teaching children, I like to create the perfect conditions for children to teach themselves also as this is more likely to provide the knowledge they are getting longevity.
I base my classes on the needs of the student/students. I try to use a variety of methods, such as practical exercises, visual exercises, oral exercises etc. This helps different students to grasp the material in the way that is easiest to them and allows different perspectives of the text to be seen.
I would adapt my teaching method to the requirements of the student. I would ideally offer classes to those preparing for GCSE's or anyone who needs help in the subject. I would match the working pace of the learner in order to make sure every aspect is fully understood.
I am interested in giving lessons to GCSE/A level but after my degree I am confident in giving dissertation advice. I am very laid back and approachable and don't like to put too much pressure on students as they come to here out of choice to improve. I want to aid that improvement and allow students to gain a level of understanding they feel confident with.
In my lessons, I will make sure the person I am helping/teaching is learning at a comfortable pace and is not confused throughout.
My teaching method is flexible to each student in order to make sure that they are able to learn in the best way possible for them personally. During my time at sixth form, lessons were often made up of interactive activities as well as textbook work, and this is how I feel most confident teaching pupils, however I am always willing to try something new.
My teaching methodology is dependent on what the student needs help with. For instance, if the student requires help with analysing a passage, then I will guide them through how to read a passage with a specific frame of mind that will help them with analysis, as well as giving them key terms and techniques to boost their grades.
I structure my lessons around content, and what my students wish to focus on. My methodology is straightforward; I approach each topic and discuss it in different ways, ensuring different teaching methods are used in order to suit individual students. I give lessons to all types of students and aim to take into account the issues my students wish to approach.
I have a friendly and enthusiastic approach to teaching, in the belief that you engage with something best when you are enjoying yourself. I have a lot of patience and am able to deliver a lesson (or series of lessons) that is tailored to the specific needs of the pupil. I am extremely flexible with my approach, allowing me to adapt to each pupil that I teach.
For me, teaching is far less about talking and telling as it is about listening and observing. The methodology that might suit one student perfectly could be useless for another student. I pride myself on my adaptability, getting to know each student personally and presenting the information in a way that works for them.
Multisensory, bespoke teaching methods that suit the child’s preferred way of learning. Plenty of fun to be had too! Please get in touch. I am available on skype or face to face.
I like to get to know my students well and work out what makes them tick.
My teaching method is making the students comfortable in what they are learning so that when it comes for them to do it themselves they are able to do it confidently and are able to understand the subject very well.
I try to get my students engaged in the literature we are reading by helping them to see how the work can relate to them. The best authors deal with universal themes and it is about tapping into the psychology of the author and the reader to find where that mutual connection lies.
I like to base my teaching method on each student individually, so I don't really have just one teaching style. The first lesson will mainly be me getting to know the student and their strengths and weaknesses within the subject.
I put the student at the centre of my lessons, getting to know each individual student allows me to prepare lessons best suited to their preference and in turn allows me to make learning fun and engaging. I also use a range of strategies to ensure any additional support needs are catered for.
Having recently graduated from a Masters in Political Science at UCL I now work as a freelance journalist. My teaching method is tailored to each student individually and the learning style which suits them best. I first ensure to define the area the student feels they are lacking in and work on methods to help them improve.
Each session will be built on diffrent aspects around current school work with a deep look and understanding and will later grow to perfecting coursework and exam results. Taking a break down of content, essay structures and exam timings we will be able to build up confidence and grades within the subject.
I adjust my tutoring methods after getting to know the student and how they learn best. Keeping it fun and interesting along the way. I'm down-to-earth and light-hearted but with effective teaching methods. Recently graduated with a 1st. Teaching all ages from 11+ through to undergraduate tutoring.
I will listen to both you as a parent and your child to what they struggle with and enjoy. I will then link activities to their interests to support their learning. I can teach the basics from phonics and decoding the words to comprehension.
Ive always succeeded in my English lessons at school and have received As in my GCSES in english literature and language. The way lessons are planned out depends on the child and what they need to focus on to reach their goal.
My teaching methods include visualisation and this is good for reading and literacy as it helps students illustrate mental images. The use of technology is essential as it has its benefits when used correctly. Group work and peer assessment is also a vital methodology. Worksheets to take home is also beneficial in testing the students understanding.
My teaching method is built all around making my students feel comfortable so that they are able to freely ask any questions they may have on the subject. I begin by trying to determine how much they know and what they've been taught at school before proceeding with my own teaching.
Every child is different so it would have to be a case of assessing what their strengths and weaknesses are.
My teaching method is to break down whatever content I'm teaching to its most basic elements. I think the most tactical way to achieve this is to question the pupil and allow them to take on a more leading role during the pupil-tutor exchange.
I like to play things by ear a lot especially when it comes to reading, there’s so much variety when it comes to teaching someone how to read or even just how to view what their reading in more ways than one.
I’m friendly and supportive and believe in letting each student find their best way of learning. I will provide homework based on the content and problems encountered in each lesson and give feedback at the next class before moving on to the next topic.
My teaching method involves breaking down the concepts and sentences to make it more simpler for the students to understand and grasp.Once they understand the meaning they can memorize the text in their own understanding after which I would take a small test after each topic to test their understanding.Any mistakes are then corrected and improved.
My teaching is individual. A student learns in different ways and my aim is to always encourage a sense of achievement and pride when finishing pieces of work. I also want to support the development of a student and spark a passion for education.
