My main focus will be those seeking tuition within GCSE'S and A-Levels. I seek to tutor in a way that best suits the individual whether it be using images and pictures, posters, mindmaps or simply looking at a textbook and note-taking.
I offer tutoring online and in Southend-on-Sea and Westcliff-on-Sea in Essex. I tutor: - English - Maths - SATs and 11+ examinations - German / Portuguese - Media and Film Studies - English as a Foreign Language. I also offer dyslexia and literacy support, academic writing skills, study skills, essay writing, plus Undergraduate and Postgraduate study support.
My teaching method aims to suit the needs of the individual! Every child learns differently and i think it is important to incorporate this into teaching methods.
My learning method is listening, repeating and learning from the base. It is important to acquire a good dramatic, understand the language, how it works and the general rules.
I teach basic literacy and numeracy to KS1 children, help children with specific difficulties such as dyslexia and teach higher level skills to children in KS2. I have taught and assessed children for KS1 and 2 SATs so am very aware of the curriculum and it's expectations. I tailor my teaching to suit the needs of each individual child. I talk first to the parents and then the child.
I am a high school student In year 11 so I can only support students younger than my age. The way I would like to help students is by allowing them to inform me about what they find difficult so the I can work with them to help them improve their mistakes. Hopefully, they will achieve better grades.
My teaching method is ‘step by step’ gradually building up the layers of knowledge. I believe making lessons & activities fun makes them more memorable, so games and speaking exercises are key. At the end of each session do a quiz to test how well / what has sunc in then work from there.
I am a fun and bubbly teacher, I love to help students by being relatable and hopefully sparking an interest in a subject.
Teaching methods can vary from student to student, as each child learns and understands things differently. But I feel as though the best way to check a child's understanding of something, is to have them explain it back to you. I am very friendly and a good communicator, but I will assure that the children remain concentrated and focused at the task at hand.
The first meeting would be comprised of a discussion of the student's strengths and areas of improvement, in the English subject. Then, depending on topic areas that require additional work, Powerpoint presentations and example questions will be provided. In addition, modular assessments can also be provided to monitor improvement and to highlight any further areas of improvement.
I prefer to ask questions to the students to know their prior knowledge. I use to make pairs to do the work. I always divide my class into group for group activities . Wrap up is an important feature of my lesson.
Our first lesson will go over what you expect to get out of this experience. Please have the books you wish to study and a general outline of your specifications within this story e.g. are you struggling with the content itself, the context, the literary analysis or just essay writing itself. Students up to M.A. level are welcome to contact me.
My teaching method is simple, easy and basic. I use phonetics, pictures and easy clues to make students remember their words and sentences. I usually split words and give their meanings to form a sentence. I can help in coherence and grammar.
I aim to find out what you, as an individual, want and hope to achieve, set you realistic goals that are achievable around your everyday life and constructively feedback.
I try to make my lessons as interactive as possible so as to engage the learner. As I get to know a student, I can q quickly assess the gaps in their learning, and tailor my lessons to address them.
I will make my lessons as simple and easy to follow as possible by breaking content down into demonstrations and presenting information in multiple ways.
My methodology is based on the individual. I assess each child’s needs and adapt my teaching approach to best suit the student. Building up a good rapport and allowing them to gain in confidence and shine would be my main aim.
I am a great believer in student centred teaching i.e. focusing on guiding the student through all the difficulties of passing the examinations whilst helping them to appreciate and increase their skills in understanding different texts. I enjoy teaching and guiding young people to develop their talents.
My teaching method begins with a brief assessment of current aptitude, where we identify future goals. My approach is then to build towards those goals in a steady, progressive manner. We'll set outcomes for each session and achieve them using a threefold strategy of theory and examples, problem questions/performance based tasks and detailed feedback.
My teaching method is one to one with adults and with kids a a group maximum 3 children.
I teach GCSE students and anything below. My techniques really depend on the student, however I fell my lessons are always fun, structured and efficient.
I firmly believe that, with the right intervention, everyone is capable of both reading and writing. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Literacy/English I specialise in tuition for absolute beginners in reading and writing. My degree has given me great insight into both barriers to literacy, and pre-literacy skills that must be present before reading can be successful.
My teaching method is based on past papers, helping students with assignments and teaching students how to revise effectively for exams.
My Tutoring method is based around an examination of studies the students are completing in class and expanding throughouly with what they ars struggling with. Along with introducing a range of new material obtained from areas in which the students studies and examinations are focused.
I can create a lesson structure to meet the needs of the student and support the learning that they are getting in school or college in order to improve their English skills and maximize the grade that they achieve.
I teach Key Stage 3, and GCSE students, between the ages of 11 to 16. I teach according to the wishes of the students. I follow the revision guides, and go through the topics in which the students are struggling with. Nearer to the exams we go through past papers so the students are familiar with exams.
I have been tutoring and teaching for a number of years and try to cater my lessons around the specific needs of the students I teach. When meeting a new student I will take the time to get to know them and how I can gear learning to get the results they want.
Attending a Kumon class is very different to attending a traditional 'school type' class as each student is working on something different, tailored to their individual needs.
I'm happy to give lessons to other college students and to high school students. I'll first help you in what you don't understand and try to also include knowledge that I know so that you also learn other things that might help you in the future.
My teaching style is flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of individual learners.
