I perfer to teach in a fun way that keeps the student focused and engaged in learning. I like to organise my lessons in a constructive way. I do not like to move on to the next step until I am adamant that the student understands the topic. I relate well to children and am good at motivating and encouraging to build high self esteem.
My teaching method, is hand on experience. Allowing the student to read out loud to me, and voice their pronouncation of words. From this I will identify weak areas and base tasks for the student to complete of these areas. And provide work tasks for them to take home with them.
I hope to work with students to find out what method suits them. Personally I learn well from brainstorming and debating to form draft essays of what I know. Then I conduct a literature review to enhance my essays. I would encourage this type of learning but each student is different.
I tutor English and Maths to primary and secondary school pupils, tailoring my methods to the individual. Located opposite Clifton College, I work with students (and their families) to identify learning goals and then create a relaxed and productive environment to help them achieve. I have a basic DBS certificate (but full CRB checks can only be requested by employers).
I believe that every child is a unique learner. There isn't one way to teach all children. I assess all children individually and plan lessons to suit each child. I think it is important to understand each child's interests and attempt to implement their interests into their lessons. I believe this helps children's engagement and 'hooks' them into learning.
My teaching style is primarily led by the demands of my tutee. However, my belief is that issue based debates that encourage students to come forward in their own ideas- supported by a exam board approved framework that I can provide is the most effective manner of learning.
I believe at the pace of the student but also pushing them where needed. I tailor my teaching to the child’s/children’s individual needs. My teaching style is patient and supportive, which I believe is important and allows the students to progress.
- individually tailored lessons for a tutee’s preferred learning techniques and abilities - challenging and motivating lessons, with support in areas that need development

I make sure every lesson incorporates a bit of practical learning. Pen and paper are all good and well however I’ve found engaging the children by getting them involved has always been more effective. It’s also a good way of encouraging the children to work independently which allows me to asses their learning.
I believe that all children learn differently, and there is no way to pinpoint the way that they can learn and understand without knowing them personally. The spectrum is never ending, and only by making the effort to know the student, can you effectively help them.
My main teaching Methodology is via story telling which makes studying lot more easier for the kids to understand than using traditional methods of teaching. For math, use of objects and various instances is used to make the subject easier and fun.

I approach each topic first by questioning to determine any previous knowledge, then clarifying . Afterwards starting at the foundation level then building up , so the pupil can have the the understanding and the information needed to comprehend the topic. Teaching methods may vary depending on the topic and pupil. Then clearing up any misconceptions.
My teaching method is one on one and I will work on the given texts with the student to make sure they have a full understanding of them.
I have delivered lessons to apprentices working towards their level 2 and 3 NVQ qualifications. I have also taught teaching Functional Skills to refresh their English skills. I like to keep lesson fun and break a topic down into small pieces to keep the subject more interesting.
Theory is good but no substitute for experience and my experience is truly international. By relating my personal experiences I can discuss real time issues with students.
