Initially, I have an assessment with the student evaluating their needs and what learning techniques would be the most beneficial. I like to approach each subject, topic at a time until fully understood. Revisiting past topics also helps to constantly keep up to date and refresh memories.
I begin with an initial assessment to identify what areas need to be worked on. From this we build and individual learning plan and work on progressing through each section. I currently go student to student tutoring in their homes or my own home.
My teaching methods vary depending on the way the student best retains the information. I usually encourage mindmaps and organised note-taking as well as providing thorough explanations and discussions to help break down theories and ideas. If there is a specific method that works for you, I am happy to explore it to ensure you receive the best possible results.
My primary teaching method is through conversation. I believe the key to success is being able to explain things to one another and talk complicated issues out.
I can give French lessons to anyone interested in learning a new language, whether it is for school or for your own pleasure. I will start with the basics and then try to talk and write to you in French so you can improve quicker. I can also give essay writing tips both in French and in English for students from high school to university levels.
I hava taught the group and individual classes and have got the experience of teaching over 3 years. I mainly teach according the course requirement.
A mature, friendly and approachable High School student looking to tutor primary and secondary pupils at any level of English as I have excelled in my SQA National 5 and Higher English exams achieving an A on both. I believe that as a tutor I possess great interpersonal skills and have the ability to put people at ease.
All children love to learn through play. I incorporate play in order to make it fun for the children and they learn without realizing it! Children enjoy the freedom and power of reading, and this success breeds further success.
I approach the subject carefully I see how strong the student is in this topic first. Then I help to the students needs.
I can provide lessons for all children up to GCSE level, and adults who want to improve their understanding of written or spoken English.
I am a perceptive, empathetic & creative person who has a very strong work ethic & enjoys seeing the end results. Passionate about teaching, learning & development, I am a real advocate of helping people achieve their best possible results & potential in life. My character is very social, I am definitely a people's person who brings a very positive attitude to the learning & working environment.
My teaching methodology is to tackle the parts you find tricky straight away so that no topic is scary. I believe that children should be fearless learners and there is no such thing as a silly question. I communicate with the children so I know what they are struggling with and what they are enjoying as I want them to be comfortable with my style of teaching.
My teaching method is uniquely customised depending on who I am giving lesson to. For example, I recently tutored a young 14 yo boy with ADHD (for English) and, due to this problem, made the lesson much more hands-on and interactive, allowing him the opportunity to learn while saying alert.
I can tailor the lessons around what the student wants, whether it be grasping the basics, explanations of complex concepts or going through exam questions. I try to understand the preferred learning style of all my students so that they are able to remain engaged and learn in a way that suits them.
My teaching method was learning by doing. I let my student do their task before revealing and discussing the lesson.
I like to teach up to GCSE level English as I am still a student & received grade 9's in both of my English subjects. I like to ask the students what they're weak on, and begin to focus on that.
My teaching methologology depends entirely on the student. I am likely to ask the student what they would specifically like to work on and what they think their weak areas are. I will then form a lesson structure from there, drawing from resources which helped me previpusly and also more relevant resources which have been recently published.
I base my teaching methods on the needs of the individual student I have worked with non-English speaking students before and tailor make every lesson to suit the individual. My sessions are often more activity structure than book structured.
My teaching method consists of doing exercises based on different topics ranging from creative writing to poetry. I base my lessons on reading as well as annotating different texts from books or plays. I make sure my students enjoy what they are studying by relating their hobbies/interests to the subject. Example.
Patience, explanation, encouragement and praise, even for the smallest of improvements. New students often gain confidence as they study . I encourage students to talk about their work. Also, to make considered observations on the texts that we'll be studying.
I approach each client by understanding their needs and learning styles. This enables me to design effective, personalised tuition which meets the needs of my pupils. Through combining my extensive knowledge of the English curriculum with a deep understanding of how students learn I am able to provide extremely successful tuition for each of my clients.
I mark the students work and give specific feedback which they can improve on. I am able to solve any problems students have in areas of study they don’t understand and able to correct them effectively. I first investigate areas of weakness of students by setting different tasks which look at the effectiveness in different areas of English e.g.
Text based lessons for literature are reading and discussion based, with the student taking notes. This leads to essay modelling and practising of the skills by the student. EFL and GCSE language teaching will be tailored to fit the interests and first language of the student where possible.
My techniques and methods will consist of spending quality one to one time with students enabling me to help them with any topics or questions they find difficult as I believe the more time you spend with a student the better they will benefit in the long term.
I am currently doing my A Levels. I am in Year 13, and I achieved all Grade As or A*s (7,8,9s) for my GCSEs. My predicted A Level grades are A*AAA. I particularly enjoy English Literature and find myself attaining good grades in the subject, which is why I chose to teach it. Lessons with me would comprise of a starter activity, then to be followed by the bulk content of the lesson.
I like to teach at a delightfully slow pace. I make my students revise their lessons every day. I give them information bit by bit and do not dump it on their heads all at once. I always have a pre-planned journal in which I write the lessons for the day.
I approach each learner and their needs individually, always meeting with prospective clients to discuss their aims and goals, strengths and weaknesses, prior to beginning lessons. I believe that learning should be fun, individual and creative - taking place in a supportive environment.
My methodology varies depending on the necessities of the student, of course! I love teaching through content, I think it's really motivating.
I set a lot of tasks to do so that the student can practice. After all, practice makes it perfect. I will start by seeing how skillful they are and teach the structures for essays. Also, I will test them and time them - for the poetry as well as students normally find it challenging.
My teaching method is based around assessing the needs of the individual student. These would depend upon their stage in school, their specific difficulties, strengths and weaknesses, interests and so on.
