Kevin Hiscutt Primary Educator Manchester ENGLAND 1.
Hi, I'm an experienced primary school teacher who has spent the last 22 years working across the primary age range. I'm used to getting good results including with children who have EAL and additional needs. I will ensure my teaching is tailor-made to be as unique as you are.
I received an A in my A Level English Language and took English Literature to AS. I have a degree in History and thus my written English is to a high level. I am willing to teach primary and secondary age children as well as those taking Lowers/GCSEs. I begin teaching by discussing with the student/parents which areas need improving upon before forming a course around that.
I provide a friendly and helpful insight of my experience taking my GCSE's and how I coped with the stress of it all.Everything you need to know from the point of view of an understanding student and everything I learnt.I shall provide methods of testing your memory based on what you prefer and what helped my friends and I most.Tips, advice, opinions and most of all knowledge.
I am an undergraduate who has taught English (at all levels), Mathematics and Art for international students of all ages. I am a very flexible, calm and understanding individual who can adapt to the student's style to get the best grades.
I am a Masters Graduate in Media and Public Relations based in North Yorkshire, with a thesis in Financial Communication receiving a distinction grade. I give lessons to university undergraduates with a similar degree subject. Lessons are often taught through emails, with opportunities to meet face-to-face depending on location.
I finished my 2 bachelors degree in BA Sociology and Bsc Nursing and my Post graduate Studies in Business. I prefer to give lessons to Nursery students and University students as I am good teaching kids as I used to do a volunteering job to teach childrens in our local area. My technique was to identify their age and level of understanding before giving them lessons. I give exam tests as well.
Experience of teaching 1-2-1 and groups from adult literacy up to speech writing and presentation skills for the United Nations. In a journalism career of more than 18 years I have learned all disciplines and genres. I'm engaging and confident - and can transmit the latter to the pupil.
I am a graduate with a passion to teach and inspire others through my specialist knowledge in both Art and English. Working as an arts Ambassador for the university, creating tutorials and volunteering as a workshop assistant gave me the opportunity to teach various age groups. This has inspired me to pursue a career in teaching and private tuition.
I am a student of Master's in Creative Writing at Northumbria University with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from India. I give lessons in English, grammar, reading, writing and Literature. My lesson structure is generally simple and precise with instructions about grammar and writing techniques.
I'm 19 and am looking to improve my skills and earn some money while helping people in an area that I am truly interested in. - ENGLISH TUTORING As a native English speaker I can offer an effective and adaptable lesson to anyone of any age with my main aim being to adjust my lessons to the needs of the learner.
Professional highly motivated, passionate and dedicated recently qualified teacher, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, communication skills and with experience of working with students from different backgrounds. Loyal and caring person who loves making a difference in the lives of children.
I pride myself in tailoring lessons to the interests of the child to ensure they gain the most out of their sessions. I make learning fun and engaging and ensure the child feels at ease. I prefer to assess children on an individual basis, discussing with them what they would like help with whilst also discussing needs with parents.
i offer English lessons at a secondary education level, my approach as a tutor will be to build a good relationship with my students therefore, i know what their strengths and weaknesses are. this way we will be able to work together closely to develop a much stronger character.
I like to engage the children I’m teaching as I believe if they are engaged and are having fun in the lesson, they will learn more. This is not just for the sake of saying it but it is proven through myself and my collegeus when we tutored students at a local centre.
My teaching methodology is dependent upon the student(s) level of understanding and knowledge - what teaching methods work best for them and try to incorporate them into my practices.
I approach each topic based on the children's specific needs so that lessons are tailored to target each individual pupil's requirements. Continual evaluation and assessment are essential to helping develop progress, confidence and attainment. Providing the right amount of support is fundamental to allow children to become independent learners and masters of their own knowledge.
I am happy to provide lessons for one any who asks, hopefully i'll be able to help and pass on some knowledge.
My teaching methods are based on the student and work from what worjks best for them, i.e. if they are a viusal learner and practical or theoretical and prefer to write everything. I am easy going , however, firm with learning and making a noticeable progress.
My teaching method is slow, steady learning. This allows both myself and the student to track the progress being made, and allow room for improvement. I have found that this method has allowed the student being taught to clearly see where mistakes are being made and how to remedy them.
Text based lessons for literature are reading and discussion based, with the student taking notes. This leads to essay modelling and practising of the skills by the student. EFL and GCSE language teaching will be tailored to fit the interests and first language of the student where possible.
My teaching method is largely based on the interaction between pupil and text. I like to create lessons that are age-friendly and relevant to the students. The most important aspect to me, is that students come away from a class with at least the germ of their idea and the desire to write it.
I use varying teaching methods in my lessons and the technique I apply to a student depends on their level of comprehension and their primary needs. For example, for a student who needs improvement or confidence and listening abilities, I might choose to use the direct method, also known as the 'oral' or 'natural' method.
I personally find the best way to obtain maximum learning is to address the areas the student is struggling with, find the source of the issues and look at how it can be improved. It is vital the student is able to recognise where they are going wrong in order to progress.
My teaching method is suitable for entry level students. Lessons can start from understanding past, present, future tenses to writing sentences and paragraphs. I understand that people learn at different speeds and tailor my lessons to suit each individual whilst encouraging progress and my aim is to make learning English fun.
I personally believe incorporating something you enjoy into things you may not enjoy as much, are very helpful in learning the best way. For example, if you are struggling with your spelling, let's look at your hobbies, favourite books or films and we can go from there.
I've always struggled with the pressure of exams, and so I can completely empathise with those who feel the same! I can also appreciate the time-consuming ordeal as you prepare to hand in coursework, or take part in a controlled assessment. Each student is different, and I'm here to give help as it's needed! I like to start with a short introductory session with the student.
I set a lot of tasks to do so that the student can practice. After all, practice makes it perfect. I will start by seeing how skillful they are and teach the structures for essays. Also, I will test them and time them - for the poetry as well as students normally find it challenging.
As a tutor, I prefer organized and meaningful classes; after understanding the interests of the students, I like to create timetables and action plans tailored to them which allow efficient progress. I set a standard amount of homework that helps further develop their understanding. Most resources that I use are created by myself, although I like to make good use of online ones as well.
My teaching method is a steady lesson plan for each group, so I can monitor progress for the individual student and the class as a whole. I like to encourage confidence and discipline equally, but most of all I want learning to be fun.
