I tend to base my teaching around the syllabus of which I will require from your child. We will take topic by topic incorporating class notes, notes of my own and other resources I would recommend. In addition to this I will help my students by providing tips and organisational techniques that will guarantee you a more structured approach toward exams.

Being a student myself, I am able to tutor children ages 10+ up to GCSE level currently. I structure my lessons based upon each individual and vary my teaching methods based upon what works best for the student as an individual. I am calm and patient and willing to work with the student so that they may be as successful in their learning as possible.
I am a current University student who is offering lessons to GCSE english students. I base my lesson structure around individual learning strengths. The way a student learns differs from person to person and i find it important to take this into account when developing lessons.
We will take our time to understand each individual task and we can make it as exciting or simple as you like! We will do a mixture of exam practise and general understanding. I am patient, and will let you show me how you like to work best.
Hi there! I’m Miral Pankhania, I’m 17 years old and I’m based in Epsom, Surrey. The main reason for me wanting to tutor is my huge passion for English, however I’d also love to earn some extra money for my volunteering trip abroad next year, after A Levels. At GCSE, I achieved a level 9 in English Literature and I was two marks away from another 9 in English Language.
I base my classes on what the student wants to achieve, providing personalised support. This enables each session to be focused from the start, ensuring all desired material is covered. The lessons are a mixture of teaching and tasks, encouraging interaction and enabling progress to be continually monitored.
I will often work through a task with a student in order to understand their individual needs and to help them improve on their weaknesses, while allowing them to understand their strengths at the same time. Very short yet effective homework tasks will also allow me to find out where a students weaknesses are, allowing lesson times to be more effective and efficient.
My lessons will depend on how the student learns best and what they want to achieve. If it is exam prep this would involve past papers, flash card revision and more depending on what will work best. I am flexible depending on what is required.
My teaching method is creative. I try to make the learning exciting by making tasks creative and get children to think about their learning in different ways. I try to engage them using a variety of worksheets and explaining it in a way they would understand if they are struggling.
I am a year 12 A-Level student with 10 GCSEs (7As, 3A*s in all compulsory subjects, including classical civilization, art, history and french) doing History, English Literature, Biology and Religious Studies currently. I am most comfortable teaching English - either language and literature which I have an A* for both in GCSEs.
I would approach the tutoring lessons by first identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the student with their help. We will then go on to improve those areas using appropriate methods and resources such as practice papers, reading around certain topics etc.
I am a patient and open-minded tutor who is able to be flexible and open to suggestions in terms of what works best for individual students. I understand every child is different and therefore different approaches are needed in order to help them succeed.
I give lessons to students of any age and ability. I like to approach tutoring in an organised way. I start by learning more about the student I am working with and their current abilities in English language and writing experience. I will then create a tailored lesson plan to go through everything you need to develop your writing based on what you want to achieve.
I am a female English student currently enrolled in her first year of A-Levels who is taking both English Literature and English Langauge and has a great passion for reading and an extensive vocabulary. My GCSE grades in English were an 8(A*) and a 5(C+).
My teaching method for begginers is to make sure all the alphabets are written and read properly. Then I teach how to make esay sentences and how it should be read correctly with right pronounciations. For advanced people I use the efficency method and I give tips to write outstanding official letters/ emails for professional use.
I base my tutor sessions on harnessing strengths, and strengthening weaknesses. I am open-minded, and adaptable to the needs of my students, making each class unique. I can help in many areas and I am confident I can work with my students in order to give them their necessary tools for success.
I normally start of by getting to know and understand my student before teaching. It is essential to listen to students concerns, give them the platform to speak as well as keeping learning fun and clear. My experience in university has provided me with skills that are needed to provide the highest quality of service.
I approach each topic, first, on the basis at which the student may first understand it, aiming to establish some immediate confidence in their own knowledge. From this I hope to understand the student, how they personally approach the topic and their own learning, meaning I am more easily able to tailor their lessons to suit their learning.
My teaching method is based on the importance of close reading your primary texts. An understanding of how to effectively analyse the text itself forms the basis of your writing technique and is an invaluable skill.
My teaching is very student orientated and individual; you present me with what you are struggling with and I will assist you however much you need. This is about empowering you and giving you the confidence boost you need in order to succeed.
I am a very friendly, patient person who is willing to learn how you learn best in order to help. I also enjoy making anything I do as fun as possible, so I will try my best to make our lessons engaging.
In the past I have helped with GCSE students but as I am now at University I would also be able to help with A Levels. I would want to know which areas of study need addressing before coming up with lesson plans to target these areas.
I base my classes on first finding out the student's areas of weakness, by first questioning them on areas they find difficult, and also through practical tests. I then guide them though these areas by explanation and example. Using questions and a range of extra material, I strive to advance their ability, and meet any examination criteria they wish to focus on.
I ensure that students are not only able to answer questions but are processing the information and applying it in relevant circumstances. An accountability of students is ensured throughout lessons so that rumination on subject content enables true a education.
I tutor english to primary school pupils who have english as a first language or as another language. I encourage positivity in my tutoring sessions and aim to build good rapport with students to make tutoring as fun as possible for the students. I also tend to give out homework at the end of each session.
I am a hard-working, creative and conscientious student, studying English Literature and French at Bangor University. I would be interested in giving lessons to students studying for their GCSEs. Although I have never taught previously, I would use interactive games that would enable the students to enjoy the lessons whilst simultaneously learning the content.
I would take each case and look at it individually ti be honest and teach based on the individual and what they want to get out of it. If it is every 'getting by' then I am happy to be used in any way you see fit. IE you tell ME how you want to be taught. We can read literature together, discuss topics, or be tested on your spelling. Flexibility is key.
My teaching methods change depending on who I am teaching. For example, when teaching school pupils I tend to follow their school's curriculum in order to provide a useful and practical service that benefits them the most. I give lessons to anyone studying for GCSE, A Level or anything else under a degree level. These are always 1-1 sessions, that go over current lessons in greater detail.
I like to base my lessons around the student's needs. So, if you were to tell me that you struggle with close reading or language features, I would design a set of lessons that will introduce the basic concepts and then work towards an A* grade answer. I would like to spend some time with my students in order to completely understand their needs and the way they learn.
