My teaching methods are creative but constructive. I thoroughly understand the need to incorporate learning in accordance with the national Curriculum. I enjoy teaching feel that I can apply this energy into teaching children. I feel that practice is crucial for children to perfect there learning.
I am a qualified teacher with dollops of tutoring experience and a partridge in a pear tree.Knowledge is inefficient without context.I teach with the child not to the child. My content is conceptual but practical.
My teaching style is friendly, structured and supportive: I tailor lessons to students' academic needs. We will go through each topic by theme, character and language analysis, geared towards the assessment style (essay/exam).
I understand that sometimes the problem may be finding the topic "boring" or "too complicated", so my approach is often to make it more relatable or (when appropriate) entertaining for the students. I have a deep appreciation and passion for literature and writing, so to help make that connection for someone else would be a real honour.
For me education is all about switching people on - illuminating a subject as well as grasping its content. I believe that if I can help a student to be interested in the topic at hand, then I’ve done something for them as people as well as for their academic success. I try to do this by incorporating broader ideas from the arts & humanities within my lesson plan.
I teach in an interactive manner, encouraging self-expression. I aim to simplify and make accessible complex ideas, theories and practices.
I wish to maintain an interactive and healthy sessions with students so that they remain active and learn at the same time.
I like to take assessment before start teaching so I can know what level child stands on. I prepare my own resources according to the assessment. I believe on practise more on each topic and then move on to the next topic. After every topic, I take a test.
I tailor my teaching towards the individual. I understand that not everybody learns in the same way and want to make my lessons fun and engaging so that you get the best out of them. For primary/secondary school students, I base my teaching on the National Curriculum and am able to tutor for SATs. I base GCSE and A level lessons upon your specific exam board, e.g. AQA, Edexcel, etc.
I personalise my teaching to suit individual requirements and have a kinaesthetic approach to teaching along with a creative and practical flair to engage and inspire. I focus on the use of examination language in order to familiarise students with the concepts and to prepare for any examinations.
Lessons will focus on covering critical areas required for the exam from the syllabus, as well as exam techniques. I also wish to impart on my students the value of treating academic study as an opportunity for personal development so that they can become confident, employable and well-rounded individuals.
I approach each subject based on your level of academia and then through sessions we shall build upon your experience of what you already know.
My teaching approach is different the average. I have struggled with concentrating my entire educational career, but have discovered different fun and engaging techniques and tricks to maintain focus and retain material and I would like to teach and share these with my students.
My method of teaching begins with the basics and showing examples to clarify understanding of the subject; e.g. word search/spellings and researching the meaning of the word and then writing the word into the context of a short sentence.
I am a believer in talk for writing; it's all about discussing the texts and topics beforehand in order to really craft a unique perspective on what is being dealt with before delving straight into an independent writing task. I like teaching by modelling together; I'll write an example up using your ideas, before gradually giving you the ownership over your learning.
