Personally, my teaching methodology is based upon what I have observed regarding my peers studying their GCSES, what works best for the majority of people and what worked best for myself.
I believe the best way to learn subjects is to make the work more interesting, fun, and interactive. Revision notes are easier to remember when the information is simplified and written in note-form. Also, as a student who has just recently completed her GCSEs, I am able to offer advice and tips.
I approach each topic by making mind maps, PowerPoints and flashcards to produce the basic points and then to create more detail over time. Lesson will last an hour, throughout that hour we will go through basic points of each topic then go into more depth via powerpoints and mindmaps.
I teach the kids by trying to find a point of interest for them. This way they are engaged more and have a more enjoyable learning experience. This is more likely to get them self motivated and more eager to learn in the future. I like to break things down for children into easily digestible chunks, to avoid them being overwhelmed.
Writing an essay, especially under exam conditions, can be quite daunting! I want to try and take away some of the stress, by approaching English coursework and exams in a straightforward, methodical way, which will definitely enable you to succeed.
I believe every child has a capability to reach 100% success, but a classroom situation cannot cater to everyone's needs. No two children are the same and this applies to learning, and through my methods and high experience of working with people and getting an accurate perception of them, I can create a learning programme to fit perfectly to a child.
My teaching method will always be based on how my students prefer to be taught, yet when it is necessary I can teach them using a different method if I feel that they would benefit more from this type of method.
I am able to give lessons to GCSE students and anyone below this level. I base my lessons on the specification used in the lessons the students are taught at school enabling them to achieve higher grades and to enjoy the subject even further.
Would you like to learn more about poetry? Or the difference between whom and who? The perfect pleasure of persuasive alliteration; or giving your CV an overhaul. Degree qualified, with numerous teaching qualifications- we'll open with a mini-quiz or two (no pressure) to figure out which methods we should focus on, to help you learn in the best way.
I am currently expected to graduate from the University of Liverpool this year with a Bsc in Psychology. I have cast experience tutoring young people in English and French from primary ages through to A Level. I love teaching at all levels, and understand that no two young people work the same so strive to tailor my lessons to the individual.
I approach each topic by breaking it down into smaller sections, with each section making it easier to comprehend the material and once we have reviewed these and have had a small assessment to make sure you understand the material, we will close out the topic with an overview to examine whether you now have an understanding of the topic.
I take both communicative competence and grammar rather seriously. For younger learners, I tend to focus more on explicit grammar teaching whereas for older and more proficient learners, my focus would be more on how to use language functionally and appropriately.
My lessons are very personalised, based firmly on what the specific student wants to get out of it. First, we will start with a rough over view of a topic, then steadily focus in on the more complex aspects. I never like to sit and just read through a topic, but I like to create engaging discussions, exercises and pop quizzes to keep everything fun as well as educational.
I am looking to give lessons to children between the ages of 8 and 17, the use of these lessons will be decided upon by the individual with a focus to improving their academic studies of English.
Please note that I offer only online teaching. My teaching method is to as follows, firstly: - identify and review your writing ability - list out ways on how to improve your work - set a deadline for the student to apply the methods of improvements. - review and edit student's 2nd draft Repeat until the student is satisfied with their work.
I am a unique teacher in that I aim to make every lesson fun and relatable. As a psychology student I will use my students lifestyle and learning type to tailor my lessons towards them. I have a vast knowledge on psychology, literature, maths and the English language.
I base my classes around specific texts, catering to the students needs, focused around close reading and interpretation. I would produce small presentations for each student focusing on their specific needs so maximum learning can be achieved through my tutoring. I can provide general literarcy and grammar teaching if needed also.
I approach my teaching through using the most effective learning techniques that I have spent years learning about (allowing myself to achieve 80% at University so far) and combine this with fun and passion for the topic. I am very patient and have worked with children as a Cabin Leader on a kids camp in America for 3 months.
I'm Hendrik, a recent graduate in Law from Durham University! I'm happy to tutor GCSE, A-Level and IB English and History. Learning should be fun and rewarding, so in my lessons I strive to create a friendly and relaxed environment for my students. I find that this is the best way to promote active learning where everyone, including myself, can learn from each other.
My teaching method is very practical and creative. I believe students need hands-on learning, where they can experience education through abstract and concrete resources. teaching and learning will be based on fun activities to enhance the love of learning. I give lessons to primary students as well as key stage 3 students who require a boost.
My name is Chrissie Fadipe and I give lessons in English and English Literature from KS3, KS4 and English as an additional language. I believe in the importance of building a good rapport with students and showing them the relevance of what they are learning.
My teaching method offers home or online lessons, with a range of learning techniques. I offer help with reading and writing skills for Primary School and key-stage 3 English pupils. During lessons I can help by talking through and explaining the topic, provide helpful learning techniques and improve overall reading and writing style.
My teaching methodology is a very individual approach, I believe that each student should be taught in the way that he or she requires to be taught with the material working for the student rather than the other way around. I place the emphasis on the student's skills and utilise those to get the best results in terms of how the student learns.
Firstly I assess students to see which level they are at and which areas they may require more support. I always differentiate my lessons according to the requirements of the individual.
I have worked with small groups of GCSE students before, creating resources, worksheets and providing other support they may need, tailoring each session based on each students ability, needs and requirements.
My teaching methodology is based upon tried and tested methods I have succeeded in throughout my school career! I enjoy a variety of methods (such as presentations, one-on-one coaching, quizzes and practise questions) to stimulate interest and encourage extra learning and development.
My teaching method is engaging students and sparking a passion within them for English - not only is it necessary and extremely important to employers, but it is also something to be enjoyed and something that can shape you as a person. There is an easy 6 - step method to learning and mastering a subject, which is: to Audit, Understand, Memorise, Organise, Apply and Repeat.
I'm finishing my bachelor's degree and starting my master's in September. I currently tutor GCSE English language and literature. I think success is all about enjoyment and confidence. If you begin to enjoy a subject and find enthusiasm for it, and gain confidence at the same time, you are bound to do well.
My teaching method is as simple/complex, as informal/formal as the needs of my students. However, my teaching is more academic and theoretical in approach, 40 minutes long per session and this is split into two 15 minute slots with a ten minute break after the first 15 minutes. My teaching is completely done online.
I primarily teach children between the ages of 8 and 11. However I have had a few Adult Literacy classes for some students who are learning English as a Foreign Language.
