I generally teach students in middle school or at GSCE/A level. I allow my students to find their own way of attempting a particular problem. I feel that it is best for students to not be tied down with certain methods if they do not work for them and that fear of punishment is no way to motivate students to do their best work.
My method is to meet with the pupil/student define what the problem areas are then base my classes on how to tackle anything the pupil/student might have problems with & strengthen these areas by talking through the main difficulties & giving the pupil a technique on how to manage the work or the dissertation.
With six years experience researching and studying Linguistics I have worked with various universities in Kent and London on paper, projects, and conferences. I hold a masters degree in Language and Cultural Diversity from King's College London where I graduated with a Merit.
My teaching method is directly inspired by my own teachers and mentors who imparted so much to me along my educational path. I believe in an honest and straightforward approach, one that aims always to provide a model for my students while also helping them to see in me a mentor who himself still has much to learn.
Relevant education. I have to meet and understand your child before finding out which approach to learning is most suited. It will be a very proactive class, with children relating what they read with their own experiences.
I am currently in Year 11, going on to Year 12 and I am predicted As and A*s at GCSE. When tutoring, I usually ask the child the exact topic or area they struggle with and we tackle that first then move on to solidify the areas they are most confident on.
My teaching method is adapted to the way the child learns so I can cater to their needs and focus on their weak points. I am enthusiastic and will always be positive with the child even if they can't understand the question.
My teaching method is very much about the students pace however very interactive and practical. I strongly believe that the best way to learn it 'to do' and my teaching style involves a lot of brainstorming together and making something interesting out of it individually.
My teaching method is based upon completion of several worksheets that focus on grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and content. These can be tailored to the students level. The completed worksheets then give me an idea of areas that need working on. In the next stage of my lessons I will work through these areas causing trouble to best suit the individual needs of my students.
My teaching methods are structured to the 11+ requirements, more specifically the CEM (Durham University) exam. I have been teaching an 11+ class of over 15 students for the past 6 months, who are progressing extremely well. My methods generally involve going over past papers and working through different exam question types to ensure that each type is approached appropriately.
I try to tailor my teaching methods towards each individual student, but one of the key characteristics I believe to be extremely important within tutoring is patience, as I realise that everybody has different learning styles and they learn at different paces.
My methods vary from student to student, as not everyone will learn in the same way. Some learners may require visual aids such as, handout sheets and illustrations. Others may feel the need to listen to music, use coloured markers or have regular stretch breaks.
I have a patient approach I aim to make learning engaging and fun I offer help understanding and accessing literature I can help any age of any skill set bellow degree education I can help with literary criticism and suggest further reading
My teaching methodology is fairly relaxed and friendly whilst still encouraging the children and helping them through advice and praise as well as humour! I will tailor the sessions to the child’s needs depending on what they need help with.
I use a variety of teaching methods that cater to a wide range of student abilities. Whether it is workbooks, worksheets, practical tasks or practice papers, we work in the way that the student will find most effective. It is student focused to allow for the best progression.
I focus on the individual and their strengths and weaknesses. Adjusting the pace, improving concentration and enjoyment in doing something the student is struggling with. I am really easygoing but know how to get stuff done- together we can improve your English skills.
My teaching method is tailored to the needs of each individual student and their needs and goals. I believe that tutoring English language and literature is not only about me teaching you the content of a course and explaining difficult concepts, but us working together to develop the writing and analysis skills you'll need to be a successful English student.
A secondary English teacher that has experience of teaching students of all ages and abilities. I am enthusiastic and very keen to support in any way that I can. I like to use a friendly approach when teaching to encourage self confidence and belief. I have been in education for 4 years (1 year as a learning support assistant and 3 years as an English teacher).
Usually I will ask the student if they are studying any literary texts and then we will analyse a passage together. Also I give the students writing exercises to ensure their spelling, punctuation and grammar is accurate. Moreover, I give advice on essay ad exam technique. However I can be flexible.
I base my classes on your needs. We will begin by determining where you are struggling and proceed to tackle the problem head on one at a time. We will go at your required pace.
I am very friendly and approachable. I have an unlimited amount of patience, which lends itself nicely to teaching younger children in preparation for SATs. If based locally, I am able to travel for tutoring, or online if this is easier.
I ensure that I personalise my teaching approach to both the subject I am teaching and the student I am teaching it to. I spend a lot of time ensuring that my lessons are varied, enjoyable and, most importantly, able to help you progress towards your targets and beyond.
I can give lessons to those preparing for entrance exams (4+, 7+, 11+) and also at primary level in general. I'd also be able to give lessons to students looking to prepare for GCSE examinations. I take time to consider the pupil's ability, and their most preferable way of learning, and structure lessons around this.
My teaching method is fairly relaxed - our first intro session will comprise of a short assessment so I can get a sense of where the student is, and then a casual chat to establish what the student's own aims are. From there I'll establish a flexible tutoring plan that can be deviated from if the student feels like there are areas that need specific attention (e. g.
I have two degrees, plus a wealth of experience as an educator for both primary and secondary school students. Each session will work through a different section of the 11+ syllabus, often consisting of two hour lessons , each hour specialising on either Maths, Verbal or Non-Verbal reasoning. Homework is set each week to encourage a students overall independence and to support lesson content.
My teaching method is always to ensure conceptual understanding as opposed to just procedural knowledge and I use a CPA approach. Also, I ensure that children can apply their knowledge in a range of situations, both familiar and unfamiliar.
My teaching methodology is to have the student write example exam essays or use past written essays which we then break down and assess together. This way we can determine the necessary points of improvement and work on developing these specifically.
Every lesson will be geared towards each individual student. Often I will use PowerPoint presentations to create a multi-media approach to lessons. Lessons will start by trying to gauge the areas a pupil struggles with most, and then finding the least strenuous way to overcome such issues.
Tutoring tailored to your individual needs. I have my own children and can speak to your child in a way that will make tutoring fun and engaging. I have experience with SEND, challenging behaviour and various learning difficulties. I have 10+ years experience in Primary schools around Gloucestershire, working in various settings. I make learning fun, engaging and motivating.
I'm Jack, 2nd year English Lit student at the University of Salford - looking to teach children aged 8 - 18. I have previous experience working with children, and after uni I want to travel to South Korea to teach English there.
