I like to get to know my students well and work out what makes them tick.
I like to base my teaching method on each student individually, so I don't really have just one teaching style. The first lesson will mainly be me getting to know the student and their strengths and weaknesses within the subject.
I aim to give innovative and creative lessons as a way of teaching English as more than just its basic principles. Integrating both language and literature teaching methods to ensure the students learn English as an enjoyable and interactive subject.
I am an experienced teacher with 20 years of teaching experience. I can teach at all levels from Primary to University level. I have got a vast amount of experience in Language and Literature. Contact me for more information and to discuss.
I approach each topic by first identifying any gaps in the pupils knowledge/ misconceptions and addressing these. Once the pupil is secure in the topic I will work with them to consolidate their knowledge and deepen their understanding so they can apply their skills to a range of test situations.
I try to understand the student's strong and weak points and develop my learning plan around that. I try to give a holistic view of every topic rather than just go through what is written in the books.
I am very innovative in my teaching delivery I differentiate I intervene to meet the diverse needs of learners to help meet there expectations. I use the smart board, whiteboard to deliver my Functional Skills City & Guilds, QCF Lessons.
I would cater my teaching method to the individual. I have found teaching to be subjective. I utilise psychological tools such as visual aids, memory games etc. But again it is subjective. Dependant on the age and predilections of the student in question, I intend my methods of teaching to stimulate and take a jovial encouraging approach.
My teaching method is relaxed but effective, beginning with focusing on the students weaker areas in the language and gradually progressing by focusing on these, this helps the student to feel more confident in their own academic learning.
I am I very fun person who finds the best way to learn English is not by sitting in a stuffy classroom but by making the lessons enjoyable.

I have a friendly approach to teaching, in my previous workplace each child had a book designed for their ability. In these books there are exercises to improve their skills regarding the subject. When a child did not understand the work or needed help, they simply needed to ask me for help.
I use fun lessons with lots of energy and passion to engage primary school aged children in their learning. I have experience of working with children with SEND through to high achievers. Lessons begin with a starter activity (Game), main lesson with examples and challenges. Finishing with another game to consolidate learning.
