My tasching method is personal lessons with lot of practice in games and competitions with analysing and how to do not mistakes working.
I have tutored students in my local area for a number of years, and through one-to-one teaching I have seen how an individualised approach can dramatically improve academic performance. I favour a collaborative style, working with the student to identify areas that they find difficult and through practice helping them to gain confidence.
I base my lessons on the student/s, firstly I see in what way they like to be taught and their learning style and then I base my lessons upon that. My characteristics as a tutor would be firstly getting to know the student and asking them many different questions on school and what they like.
Since I am young myself, i get along with kids really well. I try to bond with them and get along with them, understand how they learn and whats best for them. I try and make them get really comfortable with me so they can tell me what they are comfortable with and what they are struggling with.
I am able to teach up to and including GCSE level students who are as willing to learn as I am to teach. During the first lesson, I aim to understand to what extent of my subject the student is familiar with and will build lesson plans based on their weakness in order to help them strengthen it.
My teaching method is to make sure that the students are understanding and are gathering an opinion about a text rather than just reciting what is being taught to them about it. Once a student understands the devices and to what effect they are being used in a text for, the student begins to enjoy the work we are doing much more.
I give lessons to those studying English Literature/Language at high school level, and adults who are studying English as a Second Language. Teaching is 1:1 and specialised around what the student specifies they wish to work on - whether it is reading comprehension, specific genres such as poetry or plays, or confidence in listening and spoken English.
My teaching method is through worksheets and also personalized quizzes for the student who I shall tutor. I am also open to helping students with their homework and also happy to take student's requests in what they would like specific help in.
I use more of an interactive approach to teaching. Rather than spewing out information and memorising nonsense I like to get the student involved. Interactive learning is a hands-on approach to help students become more engaged and retain more material. With or without a form of technology, interactive learning helps students strengthen problem solving and critical thinking skills.
My teaching method is practical, re-assuring, not strict but make sure the job gets done and student progresses. I tailor each session to my students as my mother is a head teacher and have learnt a lot when it comes to teaching from her.
My teaching method is fun! Learning through games is the best way to learn, it helps you remember better. I like to start my lessons with a quick recap of the previous week and then get straight down to the work that needs doing in a fun, simple way. I will also send you ways to revise and the best methods to learning things.
I quickly assess the student’s ability and needs. I will then shape the lesson around them, keeping up the pace and changing activities regularly. There will be concrete targets. I will make sure all students feel more confident and in control.
I ya e many methods to engage students into education firstly is by warming up ‘the mind’. This is normally creative writing prompts, or a quick close reading analysis excercise. After which, presentations, interactive (educational) gaming, debates/class discussions etc.
My teaching is very much learner orientated. I believe that targets should be set by the student which would be reviewed regularly. Targets should include both subject learning and character building using 'soft targets' as short term goals.
I am comfortable working with primary and secondary aged children in all subjects but in particular in English Language and/or Literature. I tailor my lessons specific to each student I work with catering to their learning style and personality. It's important to me to make each lesson as progressive as possible.
I try and work on the weaknesses of each student. I will help with homework and possibly exams as well. It will be useful if they have a textbook/questions to work on. NB: I will be more available during the summer.
I'm a new tutor based in Islington who has had the fortunate of being offered places at both the University of Oxford and Cambridge. I'm a friendly and approachable tutor who has been educated up to A-Level, with no less than an A grade and have tutored students before with different charities.
My teaching method is a controlled and organised approach to texts, focusing on verbal discussion and extraction of information, followed by precise short write-ups and summaries of texts. This will be followed by longer essay-style questions and mock examinations which will be marked in line with the mark-scheme and feedback will be distributed.
I pick out an area of the syllabus (dependant on the exam board if GCSC level) and create tasks related to it and focus heavily on reading and writing. Structuring an essay is important and a key skill to master in order to pass an exam and do well in coursework. It comes naturally to some, but is a skill that can easily be taught.
My teaching methodology is first to understand how the student learns, whether that's by reading out loud and having discussions about texts or whether they learn through tests and other methods. I would be willing to teach students up to GCSE level. My lesson structure will consist of going over set work and practising areas of the subject that the student finds most challenging.
hello everyone I have over 10 years of experience and travel the world teaching my native language through arts. i can give lessons to a whole class or individually my lesson structure can be both spotaneous and also structual i believe every student is individual and will plan my structure to there need and the style and strength in learning.
My teaching method is based around that of my student. I will understand both they're strengths and weaknesses and work through weaknesses in order for them to gain a fuller understanding. Depending on what the student needs, I will provide a full lesson package that is aimed directly to the lesson requirement.
I try to inject fun into learning, I’m patient but always push for the best. Reading is key to learning so I ensure students read and discuss the books.
No matter what it is you may be struggling with, I will make sure I help you in any way I can. Confidence is key to achieving good grades in any subject. Simply let me know the texts you are studying and the areas you wish to improve on and I’ll focus our time on how you can achieve your goals.
Due to me being home educated I have a lot of free time which I wish to spend helping others with their school work. I have experience with working with the elderly and young children. Have taught children to read and understand maths as well as help other understand English poetry.
Fun, engaging , practical lessons with input and practice. All levels, all exam levels, CV, Interviews, Business English, writing, speaking, in real life situations. Groups and 1-2-1 sessions with families and teens. Lessons should be fun to increase learning and motivation.
