I try to act more as a mentor than simply a teacher trying to pass on curriculum knowledge. I try to offer advice in topics I myself found difficult in school as well as easier and unique ways to remembering some of the more difficult areas that crop up in maths and science.
My teaching methology will differ depending on the group of students. I may work with solving exercises, or preparing slides.
I am a Postdoctoral Research Chemist and I want to give lessons to AS, A2 level students My technique and methods of instruction are to give an overview of the relevant topic, and then forge with detail. No amount of frivolous behaviour will be tolerated.
My teaching focus on building concepts and fundamentals by explaining them in simple way (using lots of examples), quick revision and recap of previous lesson, flash cards, mind map and lots of practise with past exam questions to achieve higher grades
My Technique for teaching varies from many, I aim to understand how the student likes to learn and capitalise on that method. Most of the time I find students do not know how to understand the content especially when it comes to science, therefore my lessons tend to be very interactive in order to get the understanding across as opposed to just memorising for exams.
- Classes Our live daytime classes on the net cover all the key academic subjects for 11 -17s. Plus our weekly seminar in Philosophy and Society. This is a complete academic education at secondary level, with social skills training.an educatiion partnership with the family.
My teaching methods vary depending on the students needs. I find that students perform better with self belief and confidence, so I work on this a lot. I pre plan all of my classes, choosing topics that need the most work.
My teaching method is through explanations then going through sample answers to then a set of questions to test the understanding of the subject. This is the method I use to learn new material and it is effective.
