In a typical lesson, we begin with warmups on voiced and unvoiced consonants to ensure that the breath is connected and supported. We move onto short exercises focusing on pitch and rhythm to develop the student's musical understanding.
My teaching methods will be very practical, I have a lot of exercises that were given to me by my teachers and I know that they work. I also have a lot of different music and arrangements that I can give to students of varying levels.
My teaching method is friendly but very effective, you won't feel the stress of learning but you will be satisfied with the results! The lesson is usually split in halves: the first half is warm ups (personalised in relation to the person and the skills that we want to improve). The second half is singing in order to build a solid repertoire.
As a professional singer, I have built up experience and knowledge which I use to deliver fun, educational and progressive sessions with students of all ages and abilities. - Which subject(s) do you teach? With a performance and academic background, I offer tuition in singing (classical, musical theatre, and pop), music theory, oboe, and curriculum music content.
I approach each topic with creativity and a practical activity. I like to make the student comfortable in displaying understanding of technique from the start, however still allowing freedom for the pupil to add their own artistic flare. I teach all fundamental topics, including technique, vocal health, theory, performance technique and songwriting.
I believe that for each student there is a different way to approach a subject. Depending on how each student reacts and what each student enjoys, I try to make the lessons the more personalized possible, so that each student is happy and learning in a positive way.
I'm passionate about voice and songwriting and believe each singer is different therefore I try to find the right and unique way to teach each pupil I work with and help them find their own voice and their special way to express themselves in the best way.

I am currently studying Music at the University of Bristol and would love to tutor singing over the summer period. I am currently tutoring two children age 6 and 8 in singing. I shape my lessons around each individual and their needs. I can work towards grades or just for fun. I like to use imagery to help understand how to improve technique for a healthy comfortable singing experience.
My teaching module includes a very selective range of vocal techniques from some of the oldest and best known musical cultures in the world, primarily Indian classical, Western vocal lessons (for exercising the head voice and building a steady sense of rhythm and melody) and a bit of Arabic musical training.
I provide lessons for any ages who are beginners at an instrument or who already have experience but are not very confident. Lessons are suited for each individual depending on their needs and interests, making each lesson unique. Music is something to be enjoyed so I want each student to leave feeling that they have had a fun and enjoyable learning experience.

Anything you want to do I can teach you, vocal health is something very important and slow progression may not always be a bad thing. Each voice is unique, I would never try and change that but let me unlock your full potential.
