My teaching method is based in speaking.
I have always loved languages and I have been studying languages since I was a kid. When I left High School, I started to study Law in a University called Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC), and at the same moment I started to work in the local court, after almost 4 years, I decided that it was not what I really wanted to do.
- Spanish lessons for all ages and abilities, from beginner to business-level/advanced - Experienced in areas such as exam preparation, oral practice and general conversational learning - Lessons with a focus on building upon the key pillars of a language (grammar and vocabulary) and then building confidence in speaking in the target language A student of French for over 20 years, and...
I fell love with Spain during my degree. The people, language ( and food)! After 20 yrs in Spain, I want to teach Spanish so you can fully appreciate the beauty of the country.
Teaching a language is also teaching a culture. So I think that watching films in Spanish really helps in the learning process. Of course, if a student is only interested in learning vocabulary and verbs I can change my teaching method without a problem.
I am a Spanish native speaker from Valencia, Spain. I am 21 year old and I will spend one semester in Guildofrd, as I am an Erasmus student taking classes of the Translation degree.
My lessons would be personalized depending on the level and purposes of the student. I can give lessons of only conversation, where we would improve everyday Spanish just meeting and talking but I can also teach in writing and in a more academic way. I am also a native Catalan speaker, so if you want to learn Catalan you can contact me as well.
I use mostly a methodology based on practices rather than theory to guarantee a significant learning + study techniques are provided too.
My classes are mainly communicative, so we will speak a lot! However, time will also be dedicated to learning the rules (I find it necessary!).
I want my students to learn Spanish but more importantly I want them to like it, to find their motivation towards the language. My methodology changes depending on the students needs. I always adapt my classes to my students goals, strengths and weaknesses.
It is base on the knowledge of the student, their interests. From them, I plan the classes so they are learning about subjects they like, writing and talking. The other part is the practical part, a conversation (shopping, travelling, asking questions when they need information). Obviously, there is always a homework and learning a song.
Right now I teching spanish to a group of kids between 8 to 10 years old , but I would like oral class with adults.
My teaching method is to work on the difficulties of the student closely and help them improve and see their self esteem and self confidence in that subject grow.
I base my lessons on what areas the student needs most support in, and use methods to guide them and help them as to what works most efficiently towards reaching their potential. At the same time I will provide resources and my knowledge so that they can access everything they need.
My teaching method is interactive. Speaking, writing, reading and exchanging ideas through practical exercises that will help the student learn and have confidence in their abilities.
I very much use the new ideas of teaching and make sure every student I work with, succeeds in whatever the reason behind learning the language is.

I believe in mostly oral lessons as speaking the language reinforces grammar points. Lessons start off with a grammatical focus point and a discussion is held for the lesson on the topic. New vocabulary is introduced during the sessions either through a checklist or by reading an authentic piece of Spanish text.
