I have been teaching for more than 10 years and I want students to enjoy and learn at the same time cause we remember best the funny lessons.
My individual teaching method is assertive depending upon the level of knowledge necessary to the learner. This includes home works and constant brain exercise such as random vocabulary/grammar exercises e.g. labelling objects in English/Spanish to improve memory and enable gradual yet natural engagement towards the language.
I am able to provide Spanish lessons for children to give them the level required by their school or to prepare them for their future examinations (e.g. oral exam in Spanish language of the ENA, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, etc.). I also offer an interpretation, translation and proofread/text correction service.
I help people of all ages and abilities learn Spanish, English and other languages for exams, holidays or business. Learning another language is such a worthwhile thing to do and can open up many doors. I find my work enjoyable and very rewarding.
As an Art Historian our conversations will be always "spiced" with cultural references to ancient civilisations and fine arts. To manage a language implies to know a little bit about how it originated. For example, the Americas were the cradle of many advanced civilisations such as the Maya, the Aztec and the Inca. A language is alive and changes, by adopting words from other languages.
I find online teaching very rewarding, even superior to a face-to-face experience. If both tutor and student have got a good connection, the online voice clarity and sharpness is much better to understand each other. Moreover, the tutor can send documents and correct the student`s exercises whilst they are speaking.
I adapt myself to the students needs. Usually, to make it more productive, I try to focus the content of the classes on the areas that most need to be improved. I can make theoretical or practical classes. Normally the student need a balance of both. I always try to create a friendly atmosphere, but I also can be serious if necessary. I am very patience.
My teaching method for Spanish is to engage with the material. When learning new languages, it is especially important to be able to practice the material in and outside of the classroom so listening to Spanish music or TV shows will help in the learning experience. Memorizing grammar tables is part of it but also speaking and writing and listening to the language are essential to learn it.
I always follow bibliography to my lessons: the structure and the progression designed for some editorial are very interesting to follow. This is because this kind of bibliography starts with elementary resources to fix a proper base, and it is increasing the difficulty gradually.
Hi everyone, I am Carmen. I am a Spanish native speaker from Huelva, a southwest city in Spain. I offer Spanish lessons for all levels. I ran a Spanish course for beginners in the Bath College for over ten weeks last winter. I graduated in Teaching English from the University of Bath last year and since then I have been teaching English and Spanish.
My teaching method is tailored to the needs and interests of the individual student and lessons can be adapted to focus on diverse topics covering the four essential skills of speaking, listening, writing and reading comprehension.
My methodology is mixed, we will work on improving grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking through cases, videos, articles of interest, roleplay, online applications. It is about making it fun, simple and applied to the personal and working life of each student, so that learning can be fast and fun. For both courses the student must be at an intermediate level in General English.
My teaching method begins with the understanding of the needs of each student and their interest so that we can work on these things during class, generating interest and a pleasant time for learning. I like to give the lesson and then propose some practical exercises to control how the learning experience is going.
My lessons have different stages: lead-in, while, and post. I try to use many techniques to enhance my students' language skills. I always come up with cultural notes and humour to draw the learners' attention into the topic of discussion.
My teaching method is based on the 4 skills of reading writing listening and speaking. Lots of variety and different activities. I use media and engaging material, interactive activities and diverse methods of teaching. I have a Spanish degree and the Certificate of Education teaching qualification. I can help with preparing for exams GCSE, A'levels and Degree level.
I teach Maths and Sciences at various levels. I coach my 16 year old daughter for her GCSE exams. I coach also my Graduate colleagues in Master level materials. I teach Maths and Sciences to Undergraduate students. A class would be structured as an initial theoretical section then exercises and problems solutions.
Mi método de enseñanza es hablar con el alumno sobre diferentes temas todo el tiempo en el que dura la clase y corregirle tanto la pronunciación como en la conjungación de verbos así como enseñanadole nuevo vocabulario y expresiones con lo que mejorará rápidamente
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Faculty of Arts. University of Barcelona (Spain) and MA Human Resource Management. Middlesex University (London). Currently living in Eastbourne (BN20). Now returning to Spanish private lessons that will meet to your personal needs. Grammar is essential for the good use of Spanish. The verbs, the articles, the genre, must be used correctly from the very beginning.
Hi there! My name is Javier, I am a 19-year-old Aeronautical Engineering student at Imperial College (London) (and open uni Philosophy student). Rather than describing geeky stuff about my undergrad or saying how passionate I am about my studies. Instead I would rather explain my vision of teaching and how that can benefit my students.
I am a Year 12 IB student who was born in Bangladesh but was raised in Spain. I lived in Spain for 11 years and attended both, primary and secondary school in the country. Hence, I speak Spanish fluently. I arrived to the UK nearly 3 years ago and sat my GCSEs, obtaining 10 A* to B/grade 6) results, with A* in Spanish and Grade 9 in English Literature.
I have 6 years of international experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language. So far, I have delivered language classes in Greece, Spain, Romania and Scotland. I have taught both young learners and adults in all levels, as well as prepared my students for IELTS, TOEIC, FCE, CAE, CPE exams.
I'm a patient person who likes helping other people. I would adapt my lessons to the level and personality of the student. I would combine different types of activities to learn without being bored. I think it is important to make the student be excited about what it is learning.
I tutor based upon my own experience of learning English. I try to cater to any sessions of conversational tutoring to mirror conversations you might have within a Spanish speaking country. I speak standard Spanish with a Costa Rican dialect. Within any tutoring I give, I always seek to ensure the student has a solid understanding and feel for the local culture.
I will adapt my lessons to the goals of my students - exam revision, general knowledge, holiday prep. I base my classes on the strengths and weaknesses of each individual student. Languages have four main sections: Reading, writing, speaking and listening.
My teaching method is pressure free. I like my students to know that if they do not pick it up first time then they don't need to worry. I tend to use a lot of hand outs and exciting material, this is tailored depending on the age/level of the students.
In my opinion when it comes to learning a language constant communication is extremely important, my classes would consist of majority Spanish speaking with English used to explain more difficult concepts. the sessions would be highly interactive which would rapidly improve the students listening and speaking skills.
My teaching method is hands on all the time. I want to have 100% interaction at all times in the hope that the students Spanish oral improves to a higher standard. I want my lessons to be engaging and talking about topics that would interest everyone. I can simplify things and move forward from there.
I usually work with an Inquiry-based Learning method, where I provide guidance and support to the students throughout their learning process. I base my classes on questions andconsider what leaners want to knowaboutthe language. Students should find answers, reflects about the language their are learning. Findings might be presented as self-made videos, or oral presentations.
I base my methodology on the pupils' needs and strengths, approaching the language from different sources, free association of ideas and in connection to their previous knowledge, no matter how deep it is.
My approach to tutoring is wholly dependant on my learner and what they hope to gain from our sessions. I prefer to do what I call a "practice session", where I see what it is the learner wants and if I can offer that in a way that works for them.
