I have been teaching for more than 10 years and I want students to enjoy and learn at the same time cause we remember best the funny lessons.
I can help primary school and high school students improve or learn Spanish using methods as only speaking the language, provide them with texts so that they gain vocabulary, using visual aids to make learning easier, and much more. I will also revise essays/writings and help to improve them.
My individual teaching method is assertive depending upon the level of knowledge necessary to the learner. This includes home works and constant brain exercise such as random vocabulary/grammar exercises e.g. labelling objects in English/Spanish to improve memory and enable gradual yet natural engagement towards the language.
I have experience teaching a wide range of students, both in one-on-one settings and in groups, and students ranging from primary age to adult learners. My skills within Spanish particularly pertain to varying regional dialects - pronounciation and vocabulary - from European to Latin American Spanish.
I am able to provide Spanish lessons for children to give them the level required by their school or to prepare them for their future examinations (e.g. oral exam in Spanish language of the ENA, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, etc.). I also offer an interpretation, translation and proofread/text correction service.
I can assure you will improve your Spanish, by using different resources such as: videos, games, worksheets, reading and grammar books, songs, study cards, online activities... I am very enthusiastic about teaching and I love using creative materials to engage students.
I teach Spanish up to Advanced Higher (first year University) level. My lessons are based on your needs and wants - I'll ask you what you want to get out of the lesson, as well as a quick skills assessment and go from there. Do you want to improve your speaking skills? Reading? Writing? Listening? I'll focus on whatever aspect of Spanish you want to tackle.
As an Art Historian our conversations will be always "spiced" with cultural references to ancient civilisations and fine arts. To manage a language implies to know a little bit about how it originated. For example, the Americas were the cradle of many advanced civilisations such as the Maya, the Aztec and the Inca. A language is alive and changes, by adopting words from other languages.
Lessons tailored to your specific needs, interests and adapted to your skills. Based on the communicative approach, but always paying attention to grammar. I create my own teaching materials, using a wide range of interesting authentic resources. Expertise in GCSE and A-Level Spanish and fully preparation for the new specification.
I find online teaching very rewarding, even superior to a face-to-face experience. If both tutor and student have got a good connection, the online voice clarity and sharpness is much better to understand each other. Moreover, the tutor can send documents and correct the student`s exercises whilst they are speaking.
As a native speaker I will teach a proper Spanish way to speak. Lessons will be adaptable trying to make them according to the level and interests of the student. For beginners we'll start with common expressions and simple vocabulary and some bits of basic pronunciation. Students with a higher level can ask for thematic lessons and advanced grammar.
I adapt myself to the students needs. Usually, to make it more productive, I try to focus the content of the classes on the areas that most need to be improved. I can make theoretical or practical classes. Normally the student need a balance of both. I always try to create a friendly atmosphere, but I also can be serious if necessary. I am very patience.
My teaching method for Spanish is to engage with the material. When learning new languages, it is especially important to be able to practice the material in and outside of the classroom so listening to Spanish music or TV shows will help in the learning experience. Memorizing grammar tables is part of it but also speaking and writing and listening to the language are essential to learn it.
When I teach Spanish, I like to make sure certain basics (pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar) are understood by learners as soon as possible, in what we might call an academic approach. In particular I stimulate my students to learn a certain amount of words per lesson, a fundamental requirements when learning a language.
I always follow bibliography to my lessons: the structure and the progression designed for some editorial are very interesting to follow. This is because this kind of bibliography starts with elementary resources to fix a proper base, and it is increasing the difficulty gradually.
Hi everyone, I am Carmen. I am a Spanish native speaker from Huelva, a southwest city in Spain. I offer Spanish lessons for all levels. I ran a Spanish course for beginners in the Bath College for over ten weeks last winter. I graduated in Teaching English from the University of Bath last year and since then I have been teaching English and Spanish.
My teaching method is tailored to the needs and interests of the individual student and lessons can be adapted to focus on diverse topics covering the four essential skills of speaking, listening, writing and reading comprehension.
I’m here to help you accomplish your goals through dynamic and engaging classes, not only aimed at improving your grammar, listening and fluency, but also encouraging you to immerse yourself into the Spanish/Latin American culture. When you’re able to do this, you can really start to enjoy the experience and therefore speed up the learning process.
I focus on natural learning techniques. I strongly believe that learning how to write in a language is detrimental to the student. I focus on learning like babies learn how to speak for the first time. With image associations and complete language immersion.
My methodology is mixed, we will work on improving grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking through cases, videos, articles of interest, roleplay, online applications. It is about making it fun, simple and applied to the personal and working life of each student, so that learning can be fast and fun. For both courses the student must be at an intermediate level in General English.
My teaching method begins with the understanding of the needs of each student and their interest so that we can work on these things during class, generating interest and a pleasant time for learning. I like to give the lesson and then propose some practical exercises to control how the learning experience is going.
The methodology that I use in my workshops is very dynamic and flexible. I like to start with the practice and from there go to the theory. One of the best ways to learn is by doing, for this I use the game and the interaction with the everyday, that is, with the things you do every day, the places you move around, etc.
My lessons have different stages: lead-in, while, and post. I try to use many techniques to enhance my students' language skills. I always come up with cultural notes and humour to draw the learners' attention into the topic of discussion.
My teaching method is based on the 4 skills of reading writing listening and speaking. Lots of variety and different activities. I use media and engaging material, interactive activities and diverse methods of teaching. I have a Spanish degree and the Certificate of Education teaching qualification. I can help with preparing for exams GCSE, A'levels and Degree level.
I teach Maths and Sciences at various levels. I coach my 16 year old daughter for her GCSE exams. I coach also my Graduate colleagues in Master level materials. I teach Maths and Sciences to Undergraduate students. A class would be structured as an initial theoretical section then exercises and problems solutions.
Mi método de enseñanza es hablar con el alumno sobre diferentes temas todo el tiempo en el que dura la clase y corregirle tanto la pronunciación como en la conjungación de verbos así como enseñanadole nuevo vocabulario y expresiones con lo que mejorará rápidamente
I preferably teach young children as I said before from ages 5-8 because for me it is easier to interact and I have more techniques to make a child learn Spanish than I do for an adult. Depending on what the goal is I use different material and methodology.
I am a native Spanish teacher living in Cardiff with the technical formation, specialization and capacity to teach young and adult people to help them to achieve their accomplishments and improve their skills. Because I was born in Spain, I know perfectly my country, not only the language, but also the customs, folklore and history. If you want to learn Spanish, let me know it.
