I am a Year 12 IB student who was born in Bangladesh but was raised in Spain. I lived in Spain for 11 years and attended both, primary and secondary school in the country. Hence, I speak Spanish fluently. I arrived to the UK nearly 3 years ago and sat my GCSEs, obtaining 10 A* to B/grade 6) results, with A* in Spanish and Grade 9 in English Literature.
Having just worked in Spain for a year in a Secondary School, I learnt a lot about how to deliver effective and engaging lessons to my pupils. Both the students and me loved playing games to make the lessons more interesting (even though language learning is of course very fun anyway!) and we developed a fantastic working relationship.
I lived in Spain for 9 years and China for 1 year. After graduating with an upper 2;1 in Applied languages with distinctions in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish I plan to study a Masters in International relations at the University of Portsmouth. I have a TESOL qualification and love teaching students of all ages. I am very patient and like to tailor lessons to the students specific needs.
I am a current LLB Law and Spanish Student at the University of Edinburgh, and I offer tuition in Castilian Spanish to Secondary school level individuals. The way I work is by maintaining a strong focus on the student and their ability and confidence in using the language, as well as ensuring that they build a strong capacity for being able to accept information in the language also.
I give Biology, Chemistry and Spanish lessons to GCSE students and Spanish lessons to A level students. I like to go through past papers with my students and then teach and reinforce any topics that they found challenging. I understand that everyone has different learning styles and I will definitely try to adapt to this.
I love to develop creativity through pedagogy. I have been teaching Spanish as a foreign language and Spanish for business, custom Professional, tourists or travelers, students, and teachers. I also have been living in Spain and teaching Spanish In Italy and Germany. I can teach individual and groups to children, adolescents, adults, and Seniors.
I will be able to create individual lesson plans that suit each student thanks to my TEFL qualification. I use a very structured approach to learning in order to avoid confusion. Each lesson will begin with a recap of the last and I will not advance to the next topic until the student is confident in what I have taught. The classes will focus on reading, listening, speaking and writing.
I'm capable of teaching at any level. Usually the lessons contain a part of grammar, vocabulary, conversation and other kind of activities to make the process funnier and enjoyable. All depends on how the student wants to get involved. We can structure a lesson in many ways.
I like to make learning fun.
I bring a fresh, professional, honest and respectful approach to teaching, encouraging individuals to fulfil their learning goals and maximise their potential while they feel at ease. I easily empathy with my learners, classes are lively and communicative based on learner's interests.
I have taught children, teenagers and adults since I've finished my studies and I am always taking courses to improve my personal teaching skills. I'll help you learn Spanish in the most natural way possible, with lessons based on your personal interests and goals. I use various material to keep my lessons informative, relevant and entertaining.
I base my classes on the personal motivations and needs of each of my students. For instance, if a student loves reading, I will use excerpts from different books and literature in general as a way to engage him in the class. I always ask my students about their interests and passions, so we can apply them to the Spanish lessons.
Would you like to improve your Spanish skills? Would you like your kids to learn a new language? Or maybe learn for business/travel purposes? I offer Spanish tutoring lessons, personalised to your needs, for either kids or adults in Birmingham City Center.
I like to teach students based on interesting facts that are going on in the world by having reading comprehensions of blogs, about travelling in Spain or Latin America and setting homework based on qualities relevant for the exam that my students need to prepare for.
As I have a degree on teaching english for children and I've been learning english in the UK I know different methods to teach a foreign language. I'm currently teaching Spanish to two adults. Definitely the best way to learn vocabulary is reading and practising the language as much as you can with native speakers.
My classes focus on the development of the four key language skills: speaking, writing, reading and listening. However, I put special emphasis on the development of the oral skills by promoting interactive activities.
I am open to giving lessons to all levels, even if it is simply conversational Spanish to make sure you don't get rusty with your vocabulary and sentence structure or if you are starting from scratch and want to develop a new language for your skill set.
I am dedicated and very patient.
As a neurologist I understand how brain works and which are better ways to learn. I use memory techniques that allow my students learn faster and remember it long term. I use techniques invented from Tony Buzan, an enginyeer from NASA like mind map, speed readind, quick memorizing, visual memory...
My teaching method is to make learning fun, no one learns if they're bored, i adapt to the age in how and what i teach. I can teach anybody of any age and level, or even someone who wants to learn Spanish Conversation for when they are in Spain.
I believe that the best way to learn a new language is by speaking and listening to a native speaker as much as possible while gaining the writing and reading skills. Having conversations is the best way to learn new vocabulary every day.
I'm happy to offer support to anyone up to those taking their A-levels, and I've got absolutely no problem adapting to the exam board and syllabus of the student, or simply to what you want to learn! I take a very active approach, and believe the best way to learn is through practice and immersion.
Before the class: I would like to know what your goals and your preferences are in order to prepare a class adapted to your needs. I prefer you speak and write to communicate with me in Spanish -as much as possible- but I have no problem to help you and translate to English if you are struggling to understand.
My classes are activity-based and focused on communication, using the flipped classroom model to deliver the grammatical contents of a lesson. Likewise, the speaking and listening parts of my lessons are crucial and I prepare the class depending on the learner’s purpose or curiosity.
My method is based on constructing with the student a document of visual meanings. In this way, the student defines the topics of his interest and contextualizes them. References to cinema, pictorial art, photography, social facts, geography, illustration, nature and aesthetics in general, are the elements of symbolic fixation for words and their meanings.
I think the best way to learn is by practicing, I encourage people to have conversations. They can choose a topic and we will talk about that. I also feel reading is a good way to learn so also encourage people to bring books or newspapers they are interested in.
I am an A Level student, teaching from KS2 to GCSE. I keep pushing the student until they are confident with the topics, by testing them as that is an effective way of learning.
My teaching method is to introduce the students into a nice topic by simple, easy and understandable grammar lessons, with a lot of reading, listening and speaking practical exercises; I also use multimedia equipments to make a funny class.
I am happy to create spontaneous, relaxed and very effective lessons working your writing, listening and most of all your speaking (you will see a big improvement in weeks). I am open to your preferences and goals, personalising every class depending on your needs and making it easy for you so you have the enthusiasm to express yourself in Spanish without ever feeling self-conscious or blocked.
I base my classes on how the student learns and what their goals are from the lessons. Not every student is the same and this is something I enforce when choosing the best way to help a student. I value this as I grew up with an autistic brother who struggled throughout his schooling. Often the way we teach can significantly affect the way we learn.
