Hi I'm Amy, I'm 22 and from Hartlepool. I am a recent graduate in Maths and Psychology from Newcastle University and have experience teaching all ages however I teach mostly GCSE and Alevel students in Maths. Firstly, I will look at the students' syllabus and review what they already know and what they need to know before their exams.
My main beliefs in teaching, especially Maths, is that you must make the topic fun and entertaining and you can do this by using many different types of resources, including online games. I also believe that improving a students confidence is tantamount to success and again this is an area where I have a proven track record of success.
I am teacher with 14 years of experience at secondary level. I am qualified History teacher with lots of experience teaching maths as well. My lessons are fun, innovative and challenging with a focus on exam preparation.
Practice, practice, practice..

I have successfully tutored Maths for 5 years. I have a knack of making Maths clearer by starting with the basics (tailored to the individual's starting level), relating the concept to 'real life' then showing the patterns in Maths. As a result the learning of times tables facts, fractions, percentages etc.
Having been tutored myself in my A-levels I have a feel for what works and engages tutees. I like to start off by either giving a mini test to the student to identify weak areas- or if that seems a bit daunting, I would just have a chat with the student about what they would like to focus on. I always end the lesson with a few questions to really make sure we have covered the topic at hand.

I am an 18yo college leaver, with a confirmed place at Durham University for next year to study Geology. I give lessons in maths or physics to pupils of all levels, up to GCSE; I can also teach geography up to A level. My lessons are structured, and would follow the syllabus of your course, but lessons can be flexible to work on problem areas. I have previous experience in tutoring at GCSE level.
I am second year pharmacy student at the University of Sunderland. I am able to tutor high school students of any age of class in chemistry and other related sciences except physics. I offer a well structured and easy mode of learning as I do enjoy that myself.
