I have always enjoyed maths lessons and I am keen to help students that are up to year 9. I like to teach in a fun and simple way so the students will enjoy learning and will also understand. My lessons will consist of teaching the students the method and then giving them some practice questions and games to work through together.
Currently I am offering classes to students from my home in Middleton, Milton Keynes. I invite students for 30 minutes classes which comprise of a mix of theory and practice test. I will be recommending a practice book to students and this can be supplemented with home assignments and home tests to increase effectiveness of the time spend.
Teaching is my passion. I enjoy working with students to improve their confidence and consequently their ability to do maths. Any level and any ability is covered. Every lesson is unique and geared for the individual needs and learning preferences of each student. I have a proven record of helping my students to be successful in national examinations and achieve above their predicted grades.
My teaching method is more practical than theory based. I use examples from kitchen to garden for the concepts to be clear, so that the fundamentals are clear. Rest of the results works like magic on their own once the concepts are clear.
I'm a maths student between A-Levels and University. I will be doing a Master's degree in mathematics. In mathematics I achieved A* at GCSE, two As in maths and further maths AS and I am predicted two A*s for maths and further maths A-Level. I usually teach a topic by separating it into clear and separate subtopics.
My teaching methods include the use of repetition using different examples and looking at questions from different angles so my students are confident with any questions that come up during their examinations.

Success in maths does not come merely by repetition and memorising. I personalise my teaching to match the learning style of each student and try to make maths fun, or at least pain-free! - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Maths from GCSE up to A level, including further maths, mechanics, statistics and decision maths. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I will assess the student in the first lesson to identify the areas of weakness. From then an individual learning plan is developed and lesson by lesson we will tackle each topic making sure that we have absolute success in the subject.
I can give lessons to anyone under the age of 18, I believe practice in questions and repitition is essential in learning Maths but engaging the student with quizes and fun excersises nearer the end of the session is better way to keep the student focused and engaged.
I prefer to instill confidence and a positive attitude in my students to ensure that they achieve their learning and progress through their own hard work and dedication, and I provide an environment suitable for them to achieve this by giving guidance and instruction where necessary.
My method of teaching will include first providing the theory on the topic, showing different approaches to questions, working on examples with the student, providing questions for the student to work through on their own and showing exam style questions at the end of the lesson
Hi my name is Alia, I am a very confident A-level maths tutor and I will do my first visit for free (which will last approximately 20 minuets) as I will only chose students who are eager to learn. I will provide worksheets for in session work and will set weekly homework. I am a hard working tutor and will expect my student to also be motivated and hard working to achieve their target grades.
I'm not only a math enthusiast, I'm also very keen when it comes to learning especially if there's a new method. I specialise in taking all those complicated number and signs and putting them into a perspective you would most likely understand.
I have been tutor since September 2015, went through GCSE past papers many times with several students in one to one sessions, tens of students of primary school (preparing for 11+ and boosting sessions). I delivered about 600 hours experience.
My teaching method is to explain a topic, go through basic and intermediate exercises with the student and then further test them with past papers. My style of explanation will be dependent on the level of student and it will be tailored towards them. I will also pass on key study techniques that I have learnt through my Academic Experiences.
I start off by running an assessment to identify any weakspots/gaps in learning and then target these areas. I mainly teach using exam papers as these prepare students for the actual exam better than any other learning materials.
I have tutored students during GCSE period and I like to assess the student's weaknesses and strengths so I am aware in case they require additional support on a certain topic. I like my students to answer exam questions on each topic so they are prepared for their exams.
My teaching method is quite simple. I try to understand where my student is struggling and help them to understand the topic or course from its foundation in a simpler and more clearer manner. My lesson structure begins with checking homework and helping with homework. Then using revision guides and personal knowledge to teach topics to my students.
I prefer teaching from the very core of the subject and just not what is asked for in the syllabus. I choose to introduce the origination every concept or idea because that is how I was taught and I find myself capable of remembering everything word-to-word till today.
I base my teaching around the individual, meaning I take into considerations the strengths and weakness of a student. Once the strengths and weaknesses have been identified I work systematically using a wide range resources to target areas of difficulty, accumulating information and knowledge which help the student to answer exam questions, complete coursework or carry out practical assessments.
I schedule my classes according to the topics. I try to cover one topic per class for in depth knowledge of the subject. In my opinion, quality matters over quantity. I take the pace of the learner and understand the weak points so that I can work upon them effectively.
I prefer teaching through examples, simply barking out theorems and complex mathematics is very difficult to absorb and in most cases is very ineffective. I prefer introducing a new concept alongside a number of slowly worked through examples that clearly outline the different applications also how to tackle different styles of questions that include use of the concept.
I am passionate about teaching and assisting a motivated student in achieving their academic goals. I obtained a Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying and construction management from the Sheffield Hallam University. During my studies, I conducted personal training for colleagues and juniors alike I love passing my experience and knowledge in mathematics, programming, networking etc.
