I am a Maths and Statistics student at Lancaster University, who has just finished his second year on a high 2:1. I am looking to give maths tuition to GCSE and AS students in the Rushcliffe borough, preferably around the Radcliffe and Bingham areas. I've always had a keen interest in mathematics and have spent much time helping my peers get an understanding of various mathematical areas.
A-grade college student willing to boost grades, specializing in maths and science, in any student at a primary/secondary school level. I am a patient, punctual, bubbly individual who doesn't give up and wants to make a difference in our generation.
Experienced tutor taking you to high achievements in maths, statistics, stochastics, physics and engineering - Which subject(s) do you teach? * Mathematics: KS, (I)GCSE and AS/A2 (C1-C4, S1-S4, M1-M4, FP1-FP3) for Edexcel, AQA, OCR/CIE, MEI exam bodies; IB (SL&HL), AP Calculus (AB & BC); college/university (foundation/undergraduate/support): linear and matrix algebra; eigenvalues; calculus;...

I have a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, and am strong in Mathmatics and Mechanics. My educational background helps me understand well about essays and materials specialized in engineering.
I start with topics that are not too tough to ease the student into my sessions and gauge what their strengths and weaknesses are as well as their learning style. Thus, the sessions will be tailored to suit each individual. I use whiteboards, CGP books, diagrams, videos, past papers and posters dependent upon if the student is a kinesthetic, visual, auditory or reading/ writing learner.
I will be available to give lessons to students up to A Level standard. I have had varied experience with tutoring maths, helping children to first conquer division in Primary School, all the way up to teaching exam techniques at GCSE. In addition to my tutoring I have helped students to become confident in themselves, which I believe is the first step to become a great mathematician.
I’m an undergraduate student currently studying Psychology with Criminology, Achieved an A* in GCSE Maths, an A at AS Level and a B at A Level. Also achieved A in GCSE Statistics.
My teaching method is through exercising and clear example explanations. I try to adapt my explanations as much as possible to the student/tutee.
Understanding what you're doing is fundamental. Explaining the purpose and function of techniques are the best way to really master mathematics. I use examples for people to get a real life understanding as to what certain terms mean. Then its just a matter of practise questions and more practise questions. Fyi... Maths is way easier than it looks on paper.
first, its so much fun learning with me. i have various good techniques for maths. few people feel math is tough because it is filled with numbers. but it is one of the most easiest subject.
I have my own style of teaching and that is by give and take method and lots of analysis. I believe the fastest way to learn math is by understanding it and to understand math you simply need to make an analysis and a simple analysis that can be made by even a primary school students is by questions-and-answers analysis. Trust me and you will understand and discover the beauty of Mathematics.
I try to make complex lessons easy and fun by providing realistic examples. As I have experiences in teaching and training, I think I can design the lessons in such a way that can be understood by the students very easily.
I am a master's students currently studying MSc. International Real Estate Investment and Finance at Nottingham Trent University. I have taught and mentored both primary and secondary school students on part-time bases in my home country Ghana and also served as a mentor and a student leader during my undergraduate degree.
I believe that Teachers are the guiders and facilitators, not transfers, of knowledge. My goal as a Math teacher is to motivate students to actively examine, extend their thinking and thus maximize their learnings.
I'm Ed, currently a full time student at the university of Reading who's on the way to achieving a first class honours in Meteorology (a Maths and Physics degree). My teaching style revolves around memory games and repetition techniques.
I plan lessons with a very high level and customisation of detail based on the student's requirements. The first step is identifying what they are struggling with which will be addressed in following sessions.
Different learning and teaching techniques are better suited to different individuals, depending on their predisposition towards different ways of acquiring new information and their current level of knowledge. Furthermore, your habits, your exercise routine and your diet, just to mention a few, can impact how quickly and effectively you learn.
My teaching method is step by step approach and making sure that the basic concepts are clear, and not rushing through the topics. I believe in making every student understand mathematics in a proper manner.
My name is Daniel Simpson, I am currently studying Mathematics at the University of Nottingham and I teach GCSE and A-Level Maths. My standard lessons normally range from 1-2 hours and are split into 2 sections with a five minute break in between. I normally require a topic the student would like to work on before the lesson so I can prepare resources.
I've taught a student at primary level, a student at GCSE level and a student taking their A Levels so have a broad range of practice tutoring all levels. I structure my lessons based on each student. Everyone is different and prefer different approaches. However they want me to teach them, I will go with that and try my best to help them.
My teaching style is usually very practical and tailored to individual's attention. I enjoy communicating and sharing my knowledge with others using my engineering and business experience. I live in Nottingham so I can come over and have a face to face visit and short demo if needed.
If I were to teach a school student how to learn multiplication by 9 there is a trick I would teach. I will make all the classes fun and interactive. I am very passionate about teaching.
I am a patient and enthusiastic Maths tutor whose lessons are based on personal experiences learnt from the classroom and from teaching children. I can easily prepare and adapt the lessons to support your particular requirements. I have worked in a courses supporting other tutors in teaching for the past 5 years and have been teach my own classes and one to one lessons for the past 3 years.
I am a passionate, friendly person who is interested in teaching the young generation. I am able to communicate to students friendly and able to keep the rule for rewards and punishment strictly. During school term, I will be helping to review student's homework that were set in school. And will then revise maths that is currently teaching in student's school.
I'm very good with kids as I am very patient and friendly, I like to make things interesting rather than reading out of a book. I prefer to create a fun way of learning where appropriate - such as games, powerpoint or other creative ways that can peak kids interest.
I am a Pharmacy student and I Teach Maths and Science to key stage 3,4 and 5 as well as tutoring for 11+ examinations. My teaching method first begins with finding out how best the students learn, whether kinetic, visual, auditory or combination. Then, we work together to find out their strong and weak points in the subject/topic.
I usually help to solve the problems that are usually being put forward to me. Later on, I make sure to give extra information around that concept so that student can understand the what other types of questions can be asked from the same concept. This is because usually, a student will be initially interested to know the solution to the current problem.
I feel it's more efficient when students propose problem sets prior to meeting in order to have a fruitful discussion. Students may prepare questions (not problem sets!) related to mathematics topics to discuss during the sessions.
I love to encourage free-thinking in my classes. To me, this means that I will refrain from dictating to the student the information they need to know. I'd much rather give hints and clues gradually and give the student time to work it out at their own pace.
I am a teacher and private tutor. I teach students from year 7 to undergraduate level in particular those preparing for GCSE and A-Level exams. I establhis a good relation with both students and family, starting by boosting the students self confidence and the pushing them to a higher and higher level as far as I see they can go.
