I am a qualified primary school teacher (aged 4-11 years) with 18 years of teaching and senior management experience in school. I love teaching and believe that it should be fun and interesting. I offer tutoring for any age in all primary school subjects and English and History for KS 3 and 4 and adults.
I have experience working in primary schools for twenty years. I look for the positives in learning and challenge my students with help, support and fairness. I am able to support creative writing as I am an aspiring writer in spare time. I can support, help with your work, teach the fundamentals that will make your work stand out.
I specialise in tailoring all of my classes around each student's individual needs - everyone requires something different! Before we work together I like to discuss exactly what it is you're hoping to get out of our sessions together, so no time is wasted in identifying a pupils needs.
My aim is always to work with students strengths and so when I begin working with an individual or a group I spend the first session (or couple of sessions, if necessary) looking at previous work or carrying out a few games and simple exercises to establish an understanding of what the student CAN do and their individual style of learning.
I am an old fashion teacher which prefer using books and lessons. I am learning the teachnology now to upgrade my way of teaching.
I'll make lessons fun and interactive but also will focus on how one can commit information to memory. My lessons are suitable to anyone aged 18 and under, including younger children where I am confident to teach a much broader range to.
I treat each child as an individual. I tailor the teaching to their level of concentration and their interests. I believe in learning facts and skills and use repetition to build skills over time, introducing new content at the child's pace.
I am an adaptable teacher, designing each lesson around the learners it is for. I use practical, hands on learning to allow students to truly develop an understanding of their learning. Each child has a learning journey which is set out in an easy to see way to enable them to take control of their own learning or to enable me to highlight the areas we should focus on.
Working together we can help you achieve a deeper understanding of the subject and thereby rapidly improve your levels of achievement. You can be confident that the coaching will be outstanding as I have refined my teaching and learning approaches over 25 years of very successful tuition.
I base my tutor sessions on harnessing strengths, and strengthening weaknesses. I am open-minded, and adaptable to the needs of my students, making each class unique. I can help in many areas and I am confident I can work with my students in order to give them their necessary tools for success.
I have a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Durham which has given me an excellent scientific grounding for teaching GCSE and A-level Biology. I am embracing online tuition and I have up to date electronic online resources for 2013. - Which subject(s) do you teach? GCSE Biology (including IGCSE) A level Biology - AQA and OCR - Tell me about your qualifications.
How the sessions will work: - First of course we need to establish what needs done: whether that's actual understanding of content, polishing essay skills, understanding how your course works, or drilling down on concrete revision methodology thats going to work for YOU. - It's all about them: figuring out how they learn and their exact problem areas.
I am a masters student at Durham University who gives lessons in English to undergraduate and secondary school pupils. I work with each student to set achievable goals and aim to instil essential transferable skills as well as ensuring exam success.
I am Reece Moore, and I am a second-year undergraduate at Durham University studying Politics and Philosophy. I give lessons to those from high-school to university level. I have a range of interests and knowledge, thus can offer help in more than just Philosophy and Politics e.g. Theology, personal statements, essay writing, exam prep etc.
I as an educator know that student engagement is the key to learning retention and having a great overall classroom experience. With changing times, education requires adaptation and evolution. Students are not as easily captivated as before by simple colourful animations in textbooks and monotonous songs to correlate with learned concepts.
I'm a second year English Literature student who is completely and truly passionate about my subject and I want to help others find the joy in literature and all aspects of English. I give lessons to anyone studying English pre-GCSE up to A-Level.
I believe in active learning. Students should always know they will be supported but they will be encouraged to develop their own opinions and skills, as this is very important for English especially at GCSE. In my lessons I will help them with homework and any difficulties they might face, while providing additional resources to consolidate knowledge.
